This is the most comfortable shoe I own because I have Extra Wide (EEE) feet. However, the height of the shoe under my ankle bone chafes the shoe and the bone. If that area of the shoe was a little lower these would be the best shoes ever!
I am buying a new pair today, but I will cut out the intrusive part with a utility knife before I run in them.

I previously reviewed these and didn't like them. After more time in the shoes, I found them to be comfortable and the high heel isn't the issue after I adjusted to them.

I really liked this shoe for walking and general working out at the gym. But sadly both heels wore out within a couple months of having them.

The shoe has a nice wide toe box and is comfortable for my extra wide feet. Nice cushioning but the right shoe digs into the outside of my ankle like others have said. Hoping it gets better as the shoe gets broken in. I try to bend it outward each time before I put them on.

This would be the perfect shoe if it had the softness, feel and fit of the Rivera 4 upper. Great cushion for running but if it had that I would hands down say this is the perfect 0 drop running shoe.

This is my first pair of the 7s. So far so good. Way more cushion than the 6s, feels like a completely different type of shoe. Hopefully they hold up as good if not better than the 6s.

Would like to see more wide width choices for men. Great shoes!! Incredibly comfortable, but tired of buying/wearing same shoes over and over again

I've been testing these out with 5K tempo runs. The fit is familiar as I started in Altras with the Escalante Racer (6/5 would recommend). Despite fitting well I found other Escalante models (2.5 & 3) to feel like running with planks on my feet. The Torins show very little of that problem so far. The midsole feels responsive but not cushy or bouncy. The energy return seems fairly low. Generally I don't mind these things but I am having doubts about making them my marathon shoe. I wish there was a standard footshape version of the Vanish series. Make it so!
I've worn the Provision 7 and found them to less responsive but to feel a little more cushy compared to the Torin 7. The fit of the Provision was slightly tighter in the toebox and overall not quite right. Enough to be uncomfortable over a longer run (10K+ for me).
So far the upper is fine. Heel hold is good. Midfoot feels secure but not constricted. I have not had them long enough to note much else other than they are all PLAIN. I hope you are hearing this a lot. Altra, you need better color options. Think brighter, go nuts, give me more COLORS. I'm tired of black, white, grey, black & white, and maybe green. You actually did that with the Escalante 4!!! (Which I'm looking forward to). End rant.
Torin 7: 4/5. Could be a 5/5 with some of that Ego Pro midsole. Make it so!

Lovely feel but had to buy bigger size (US12 vs US10.5 for Newtons). Would love an even wider toe box as I have bunions. The cut and comfort of the Torin 5 Leather is my ideal. The Torin 7 would be 5 if the toe box is as wide.

Love these shoes for my daily ruck walks with a 30lb ruck. I usually don't do more than 3 miles in a walk . My only complaint is my feet do feel exhausted at end of walk

The best in class customer service, and design and toe-box. not very durable though. but I can compromise that against the benefits.

I've put about 60 miles into this shoe. This if my first zero drop shoe in a while and I was excited to get back to it. Comfortable, bit of cushioning in the right places (mid foot/forefoot). The shoes are reasonably stable and can handle decent speed. I can't seem to get them to the perfect tightness. Too tight and they feel like they have no cushion. Just a bit looser and they feel like your foot is all over the place. I wouldn't suggest these for more than 5 miles at an easy pace. A lot of energy seems to go through the shoe, as opposed to forward moment. This will be my easy 3-5 mile run shoe. If I could, I would probably return them for something a bit more focused. The shoe feels like it does a bit of everything well and nothing, particularly well.

I feel mixed about this shoe. I love the fit, cushioning, and look of the shoe. I run fast times and the miles feel great other than one issue. The issue I just can't get past is the rubbing of the stiff ankle support on the outside of my ankles. It may be an individual anatomy thing but there appear to be many other reviews noting this issue as well. The ankle cuff area is super rigid and digs into the ankle bone causing pain.

I love the Torin line for walking and have used it for several years. I appreciate that it's available in a wide width. I gave this shoe four stars because I wish the wide was offered in more than one color way. There are also durability issues. The ankle support at the shoe's back has worn through the fabric to the foam padding on several pairs I've owned, each after less than 300 miles. I'd like a little more shoe life for the price.

I've got about 150 miles on these so far, generally enjoying them. The length is so much better than the Torin 6, but those made it 500 miles. My only real issue with the 7 is that I do wish the stack height hadn't increased from 28mm - 30mm, I really liked the midsole of the 6, the 7 is just a touch squishy for me. Curious if the 7 will hold up as well, time will tell. I alternate these with Escalante's on the road, and there's certainly more of a contrast between the two with the Torin 7 in the rotation. I'd recommend them and suspect most people will be really happy with them.

Love all of my Altras. Great shoes. I've had these Torin 7 for a month. Roughly 45 miles on them. Love the design cushion on these. I had been running on the Lone Peaks. One of these Torin 7 has developed an odd squeak every step. Other than that squeak I love these.

I wear a 10.5 - 4E shoe, and these fit perfectly for my wide feet. I'm in my 30's and recently had a bad hammer toe injury that required me to get surgery. My doctor recommended me get a shoe that had a roomy toe box, so I went and tried on Altra's and some other brands. I definitely felt that Altra and Topo Athletics had the roomiest toe box, but with the ball of my foot recovering from surgery the 0 drop shoe made more sense to keep the weight off the ball of the foot. So far they've been amazing, and every time I put them on in the morning it's literally an ahhhh feeling because they are so comfy. I will definitely continue to buy Altra's.
My biggest suggestion to Altra is to offer more wide options in all your shoes. Especially the Original footshape. I've searched high and low and it's hard to find good shoes that offer a roomy toe box and wide options. Altra is known for the roomy toe box so why not capitalize on that by giving more options so we don't have to go to other brands like Topo Athletics. Lastly I've read so many comments on durability. I really hope that this is at the forefront of Altra so Quality is more important than profit. If that is the case then I'll definitely be a lifer on getting Altra's, and I'm sure my son will be as well who already has wide feet.

I tend to supinate because of the flexibility of my foot. This shoe is a great job helping me run naturally. However, the shoe isn't as fun to run as the others. This shoe isn't very springy. Pain is gone

At about 110 in these. Really enjoying the comfort of the collar and tongue. The ego max stack is nice amount of cushion for my weekend long runs, but not too soft. Tread durability on the heel seems to be going thin quickly despite having a fairly balanced strike.

I love this show. Convinced it cured my shin splints. Not sure why Altra refuses to make more wide shoes since this brand always catered to this market. Unfortunately this model only comes in blue

Great everyday shoe for walking, work, and distance runs. My cons are the shoe lace length (I complained to customer service I could barely tie one knot and they refused to provide a resolution).

This is a great shoe. Only two complaints. One is the sole is not very durable. This has been an ongoing problem for altra. Two, another ongoing problem, it seems Altra ALWAYS purposefully pick the ugliest colors possible. The shoe design is fine, but the color choices make you think everybody at the company must be color blind.0

seen all the torins, this one is top 3,it has a semi hard ankle collar that rubs the top of my right foot when I walk, but not when I run.Good cushion, nice upper,no heel slippage.Very comfortable shoe, nice roomy toebox, heel notloose, not too tight, just right.I have flat feet so my midfoot hangs over the midsole a little and I got the wide[original],but with no irritation, thus the 4 stars. This is a natural fitting shoe that just feels good.Need to offer more wides in different colors, tad more room in the midfoot and soften up the ankle collar. Most people will find this wide accommodating and soft and very neutral with no stability,it is a true neutral shoe as intended
