I love the comeback to this plush, smooth foam! Definitely my new everyday training shoe or long-distance road ultra shoe!

These shoes are very comfortable. My only complaint is that for being a wide toe box shoe, they are pretty normal width. Still training with them!

This shoe is everything the people asked for. Nice responsive cushioning. Plenty of toe box room and padded tongue. Works great in my rotation as a do it all shoe. 10/10

My feet are super narrow so I can't comfortably run in these but I love wearing them around and working out in them.

I have worn many version of the Torin dating back to the Torin 3.5, and the Torin 7 is by far the best one yet. The updated midsole cushioning is noticeably softer from previous versions, and has been comfortable from the moment I put the shoe on. The new upper fits extremely well and is secure but comfy. Also the new tongue is great, soft and flexible!! I have worn this now for everything from working, dog walks, as well as a running and have nothing but good things to say about the new Torin 7!! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new shoe!

The Torin 7 instantly feels much softer under foot and in the upper than the Torin 6. I prefer running on the trails in the Timp 4 and the Olympus 5, but these are my go-to shoes for grinding out the miles on the road.

Really digging the ride on this and the updated tongue just skyrockets the comfort. The new heel construction makes for an easy slip on and off. Also loving the neturals colors in these so I can wear them anytime! Great work Altra!

I've been wearing Altra shoes for several years and I rotate between a few different models. With this new version of the Torin, I have to say it may now be my favorite Altra. It's got plenty of cushion but still feels responsive. With the older versions I felt like they were a bit soft, but this one offers great support with improved comfort. I'd highly recommend.

Before you askYES it has a new (and improved) tongue. It also has 2mm extra cushion and a revised engineered upper. This is by far the best update the Torin has received.

Wearing the Torin 5 and 6 to now trying out the 7, it is an immediately felt improvement. The midsole is so soft and bouncy!

The Torin over the past couple of years has had a hard time staying afloat. I work for big Peach running company and saw people constantly pass up the great shoe because of its tongue. This has been resolved!!! I've never been happier with a shoe. They added some cushion but it doesn't big down the runner. It's perfectly responsive and the fit and feel of the shoe is excellent. I did have a little heal slipping at the beginning of my run but a runners knot solved all of the issues. It's an amazing shoe and deserves everyone who passed it up to give it a second chance. Thank you altra for listening and making an incredible shoe!

From the moment I tried them on I felt a comfort I have never felt in a shoe. Not only that, but, I went for my usual daily run but the difference from all other days was that I felt less pressure on my knees than usual. I had knee surgery a few years back and ever since I have pain and pressure in my knee. Honestly with this shoe it was minimized by a lot. This is my new favorite shoe and will continue to buy in the future. 1000% recommended.

This is a great everyday trainer!! I love it for short, medium and long runs and it's light enough to do some steady state runs in as well. Love the new tongue design and the cushioning.

The Torin has been in my shoe rotation for years! I love it because it's a shoe I can wear to work, out on the go, and then easily pop into some miles! The upgrades to the Torin 7 make me love the shoe more!

I've owned the Torin 5 Luxe, 6, and now the 7. I liked the 5 Luxe but they weren't very durable and felt a bit too cushioned for me. The 6 was a huge upgrade and solved both of my issues. I was worried about the 7 due to the additional stack height but I think Altra nailed it. It's more comfortable in every way but I still get a good enough feel underfoot. I still would prefer an original fit toe box width but there does feel like some extra length compared to the 6. Overall, I've had a great couple of runs in these and I'm sure many more to come.

Having long been a huge Torin fan, I was so excited to put the Torin 7 on my feet. I was not disappointed. The added cushion has such a plush feel to it right when you put them on, & throughout any run or walk you're using them for. I love how the upper fits my foot. I feel very secure and locked in, which has to do with the new heel collar. This is such a great update, and in my opinion, is one of the best looking Torins to date. Happy to say that this shoe will be my daily trainer for the foreseeable future.

Slot this into the category of lightweight, yet cushioned and responsive everyday trainer. Smooth ride, yet a lot of rebound from the foam. Great shoe!

I have used the Torin often throughout its various models. This new model feels lighter under foot, but maintains a soft step in feel. It was easier to lock down intuitively than previous models, especially when compared to the Torin 5. I would recommend it to someone looking for a soft light trainer that will complement a variety of surfaces for base miles, and has a moderate to higher volume foot.

As an avid Altra wearer, I dreamt of a day when the Torin felt like it did a few years ago. I exclusively wear Lone Peaks and Olympus for my trail Ultras, but I only wear Torins for my road training miles. I got a nice 12 miler out of the box with these, and I couldn't be happier. The Torin 7 is back to the all around comfort I missed from the last two versions. The main excitement from this model is the tongue. No more cutting into the front of the leg. No more heavy socks to provide some padding. The Torin 7 tongue is just enough padding to be comfortable and not too much that you know its there. The fit is perfect and I had no issues with the heel lock. Torins are beautifully responsive to easy runs all the way up to speed training. One bummer, the uppers are a little tall and started to notice them about 5 miles in. Definitely not a deal breaker and I hope they break in a few miles from now. Overall, great shoe and I will hope to get some big miles in them this summer.

A familiar feeling shoe for Altra runners that inspired confidence right out of the box. Not overly soft, just a shoe I could trust for any distance.

I have run in just about every iteration of the Torin and am a huge fan of their wide foot shape and zero drop. So far, the Torin 7 is on par with my previous favorite version, the 4 Plush. The 7 is a giant upgrade on the Torin 5 & 6. Altra corrected the tongue issue from the Torin 5 and added the cushion back that was lacking in the Torin 6. I have wide feet, from running ultramarathons, and the Torin 6 would hurt my feet on long runs because the forefoot was too tight. The Torin 7 is roomy enough in forefoot to handle the foot swelling from long runs. One aspect of the shoe I am glad they haven't changed too much is the innerflex sole because it allows the shoe to be flexible enough for me to get into a natural stride. I am looking forward to many runs in the Torin 7. Altra knocked this one out of the park!
