The shoes are great in terms of sizing, providing foot shaped toe box, it's apparent that there has been an improvement in cushioning and upper part geometry compared with the previous model. However, I am seeing that after putting few miles and breaking them in, the inner side edges in the toe box are being torn. It's so disappointing as there are some aspects of the products which are uniquely comfortable but the durability issues are spoiling the other features.

I hav been using Altra shoes for a few years now. I got the torin 7 in the beginning of june and my shoes are already braking apart at the top. Very disappointed with this shoes.

I ordered the Torin 7 in 11 wide. I was sent two pairs of 11, or so I thought, as both pairs did not have Wide or W written on the tongue but the box was labelled wide. The shoes certainly didn't seem wide. Two Altra representatives told me that indeed I was sent the wrong size and they would send me an 11W. Weeks later I was told that they are no longer labeling the tongue Wide or W, but they do make the Torin 7 in wide. Incompetent, misleading, and a waste of time. Other companies like Brooks do a much better job with customer care.
