It seems to me that you have given in to the maximum cushion rave that's going on. The torn six and four were great. The 5 and the 7 just are not. The seven is stiffer and has too much thickness in the sole IMO. I have worn and run in every Torin since 2012. I only had to run a block in the 7 to realize that it was not as flexible and the additional cushion in the sole took away the soft ground feel. that will move me to the Topo Magnifly 5 since it is the closest to the Torin 6. From reading the reviews over the past year it's very clear to me that you do not listen to your customers very well.

I am a big fan of the Via Olympus 2. Nice wide toe box for my wide feet. I bought the Torin 7 expecting the same fit and feel but with less cushion compared to the Olympus and was shocked at how narrow these are. Caused many blisters on my first 25K longish run. I have a pair of Torin 6's and they feel much wider. Disappointed. Will have to look at other options.

I had a pair of Torin 6 that I put hundreds of running miles on. I purchased the Torin 7 expecting a very similar shoe. I run in them twice and I have bruises on the bottom of my ankle bone. The material is so stiff it doesn't give. I also have a blister on the knuckle of my big toesomething that never happened with the Torin 6. Don't buy this shoe if you're expecting something very similar to te Torin 6.

Running in torins since 3. Redesign stiffened up under ankles. Causes bruising on my ankle, just can't use them anymore. Switching to another shoe.

I picked up Torin 7s not too long ago and managed to put 220 miles on the shoes before I noticed the material tearing on both sides of each shoe. This is the only issue I have with the shoes.

I have wide feet and the Torin has been a game changer for me. The Torin 7 though has been very disappointing: - The wide version is always sold out, so I had to get a standard version. Although the standard width has worked fine for me with the Torin 5 and 6, this one is definitely narrower. - They do not last long at all. After 115 miles the fabric starting getting holes in it, and they were unusable shortly after. Only used them on the road and in sunny conditions. For this high price, better quality would be expected. I hope the next version will be better. Perhaps go back to the Torin 5 but with a better tongue?

Wish they made a color with a dark sole like a yellow or white upper with a black sole. I dont know why they would release a outdoor running shoe with a white sole. After dying the shoe a bluish black, I like the shoe alot better. The shoe overall is light weight and fits well if laced all the way up.

The Torin 6 had the Original (widest) Footshape, and the Torin 7 changed to the Standard (narrower) footshape. So even though it still comes in wide, it is not as wide as prior versions. Altra is going the wrong direction IMO and trying to become a mass-market shoe company that no longer stays true to its roots or customer base. They only make 1 model (Lone Peak) with the original footshape that comes in wide. They were known for wide shoes and are fast losing that market by abandoning truly wide feet. Very disappointed and will start looking at other brands. I've contacted Altra customer support several times about making wider shoes, but sadly they are going in the opposite direction.

Wide width version is NEVER in stock, and the regular width is too narrow for people who used to come to Altra shoes if they had wide feet. I had the Torin 2.5 and Torin 4.5 and those were great - I didn't need to order a wide version of those shoes (or maybe they didn't need to offer a wide version back then?). Now they are making shoes narrower, which is fine if they had the wide versions in stock but they don't. It's already frustrating enough to find shoes for wide feet and Altra used to be my go-to brand, but now that they fail to stock wide shoes on their own website, I have to look to other brands.

Daily walking & gym. Owned less than 1 yr; tread on both shoes is peeling off; literally pieces of the blue tread just flapping loose. Never used for running, just gym treadmills & walking thru airports.

I loved the footbed and wish I could have worn them. However these are not the real Altra width anymore. Please re-introduce W sizes.

I have owned 4+ pairs of Torins over the years as they are my go to running shoes. I'm incredibly disappointed at the construction quality of these. I've only put about 75 miles on the shoes and have several tears in the upper part of the shoes (something I've never experienced before with other versions of this shoes).

High ankle cuff and the cushion is just a little off. I should have bought another paradigm but wanted to experiment and see if my old shoes were too old. They are in fact more come than my brand new Torins.

Comfortable for easy running. But the upper got torn (medial side) from the sole at 250 mi. Used for 100 mi more until tears too big. Would recommend if $60 or less. Upper is also a sweat sponge.

I bought these as my everyday trainer, prepping for a marathon, and I planned to run the race in them too. I find these good for shorter tempo runs (10k and less) or interval runs. Once I begin getting into longer runs (20k plus) I notice the wear from lack of cushioning. Granted I am a larger athlete, I've done previous marathons in the Torin 4 and 6 which felt more cushioned. Disappointed in this one.

I was happy with everything on the Torin 7 except for the rigid plastic in the heel. Feels ok with perfectly straight walking or running, but any lateral movement or uneven ground forces the hard plastic in the heel to dig into my ankle below the protrusion on both the medial and lateral sides. Loved the way the Torin 6 and 5 had a soft heel counter. Hopefully on the 8 they can fix this.

Altra is usually great; the Torin sucks. It has one (?) arbitrary and unnecessary cloth eyelet in addition to the regular laser cut ones - they come untied constantly. It's like QC missed this one.

Just bought the men's Torin7 in size 10 ( my regular shoe size). They felt a little snug in the store with thick socks but I soon realized they were way too tight at the middle of my foot and don't seem to be stretching out at all. Too bad these are not offered in a 2E because in spite of the wide toe box the medium is just too tight in the middle. My mistake to have gone ahead with the purchase.

I work in healthcare and spend a lot of time on my feet. These shoes are comfortable. However, the uppers lasted ~6 weeks before starting to tear. I'm disappointed and wouldn't buy again.

I love these shoes, they fit me great as most Altras do. I just wish they were more durable. After just a few months the uppers have ripped in multiple places and are losing their structure entirely.

I've strictly ran my ultras in Torins. This iteration hurts my feet after an hour of running. Been running a lot in them and it has not gotten better. Not pleased with this version.

The higher cushion made me run slower, less connected, felt way more impact, reduced running cadence and felt like all my energy was being absorbed by the stupid cushion. Fan of escalante, not these!

Replacing a Torin 5 that was a very good fit but delaminated on the sole prematurely. These fit the same, but now the top of the toe area has a fancy pattern for no reason that causes a weird hinge point that pinches the top of my foot. Back to square one trying to find a good fitting running shoe.
