Only 4 month in and they are coming apart. Both shoes have long tears running along the sides. My Provisionals were indestructible. This is disappointing considering the price.

Shoe feels very comfy which I was very happy but after a month or 2 the material was breaking apart which is a shame considering the price. Look elsewhare if you want your moneys worth.

I loved this show the first 2 months, but just past that, they started to develop holes in them and the cushioning broke down. Very light use inside the office.

I was having some issues with my feet in my old brand X shoes and it was time to update them. A coworker highly recommended me to try Altra. I was impressed except for the rips in the shoe fabric

The construction of this shoes is a bit poor. The first pair was turn on the sides in a month.Altra was good as they sent me a replacement but the same is happening with the replacement. It is starting to rip at the sides and along the design. Also the bottom sole easily separates.I have been a fan of torin for a long time and had run all my marathons with it but I am frustrated with its durability.Comfort no problem.Just an honest review.

Have been a Torin advocate for years. The 6 has been one of the best but the 7, in my opinion, is too soft and doesn't give mee a road feel like the past few revisions. Reminds me of a Hoka mure than an Altea. The Altea Experience is a better feel to me.
I've run 29 marathons in the past and am a seasoned (old) runner but have only used Altra an Topo over the past 10 years

Like this shoe. Very different from the Torin 6 with the additional cushioning. I enjoyed it. Where it was similar to the earlier model is that it both inner heels wore out pretty quickly; less than 3 months of light use.

The real problem with these shoes is how different they are than the previous Torin model. These feel like they have significantly more sole than the Torin 6 which does not make any sense considering they are supposed to be an upgraded model. Maybe this is a personal error and I should have looked at a medium cushion shoe, but, I would not use these as a daily driver they can atrophy the muscles in your feet.
I believe these should be labeled as a race shoe with the amount of sole.

Long time Torin user (ver. 4). Ver. 5 = best for me. Ver. 6 = good (-stiff tongue). Ver. 7, my foot inserts raised my ankle bone away from the top of the heel box. The extra thickness of the sole is comfortable but a little squishy, but not too bad.

Got these in BLUE. It is Baby Blue and I mean light baby blue. Blue is far lighter than even the pictures on the website would lead you to believe. Other than that, they're great!

I am so disappointed with this shoe- so happy at first. I finally had a shoe where my foot was not crunched. Within 30 days of purchase, and keep in mind I NEVER WORE THEM ON THE STREET, I carried into the gym, and part of the tread came off!

I have bought the torin shoe in the past. But the soles keep separating on every pair I have had I am worried about buying another pair.

I went from an Altra Torin 4 to the 7 (I had a stockpile), plus a couple other Altras along the way. Listen, this is a fine soe and in some ways, it's really good. But the soles in these are really thick, which sure probably to compete with Hoka but c'mon: This is a high ride. Why? Get back to your roots. Don't be a Hoka.
The shoe fits pretty well, but they got rid of the double heel lock eyelets and then, where there is one, equip this shoe with the shortest laces in history. Does Altra think their shoe is so amazing that no one will need the heel lock eyelet?
Anyway, yeah. It's a perfectly serviceable shoe. I just wish they would get back to their Torin roots a little more.

I'm a retail footwear specialist at an outdoor supply co. The following is my own + customer feedback. The Torin 7 cuffs hit higher than the 6's and rub painfully on the lateral ankle bones (see photos for DIY fix). The shoe has a pronounced curved-last "Footshape" that is not the actual shape of most feet, so the feet migrate to the outsides, causing pressure on the pinky toes and gapping along the big toes. The wide option is still narrower than many other brands. Most people who need wide shoes need width at the metatarsal heads, not at the tips of the toes. During runs, the yawning heel cuff design collects tons of detritus. RECOMMENDATIONS: use a straighter last to better fit more feet; redesign ankle cuffs to be lower and softer, similar to Torin 6; streamline bulky achilles cuff to prevent collecting debris; provide more structure to fix foot laterally; if you insist on making only 1 color available in wide, make it black/neutral, not Smurf blue, and ditch the silly wave-design engineered upperwe're not schoolkids; use less slippery laces that don't so easily come untied.

It all started when I tried my first Torin 5 - so comfortable. Loved them . What a great shoe!!! Then got the Torin 6, which felt okay ish, but the outsole fabric 5 began detaching from sole. Very cheap. Now, I got the Torin 7 and the stiff collar cuts into ball of ankle. What a shame. Why the constant changing? Was so looking forward to the Torin 7 being a great improvement. Why did you make the opening rim so stiff? I guess it will be going back to Brooks and getting used to heel toe running again.

Wanted to love this shoe but it feels narrow in the heel to where the insole irritates my foot where it meets the rest of the shoe. Hard to describe but the toe box is perfect.

I have had every model of these since they've been making them in a wide width. The 7 squeezes my forefoot and I'm so bummed! Everything is great but the sizing

These haven't worked out for me. Was looking for a running shoe that had more width because my left foot always feels like it's on fire with other running shoes. These end up making both of my feet have a burning sensation. I think it's because they just feel too high up off the ground.

overall, this is a great design, and I loved the cushion. However, the major flaw for me after returning a pair, and buying a second was the fact that each pair gave me a painful ankle rub, on the outside of my ankle. I tried wearing ankle socks to add cushion. I also tried different lacing styles. But after testing it out, I will be returning my second pair in trying out the provision 7 instead. I really wanted to like this shoe, it just didn't work for me.

First the good, the cushioning of these shoes are very comfortable. From heel to toe was very comfortable and forgiving to my feet. Unfortunately that was the only good for me. The shape of the shoes did not fit my feet which rubbed them wrong and the sides of the front of my feet hurt after about a mile. Tried a couple times but could not wear anymore

Have problems with toes on my right foot, so I switched to a zero drop and wider toe box. The shoes fit fine, look good, and solved my toe problem. Unfortunately the total lack of padding resulted in immediate blisters on the back of my foot. I've tried two pairs, broken them in, used them running and walking. Same story blisters or hot patches every time. I've never had blister issues with any other brand.

This is my third pair of Altra and none of them have held up. I have tried numerous times to get in contact with customer service and can never get help. Like the shoe and design but don't hold up.

The cutout for the lateral malleolus is too shallow. Rubs on the inferior aspect. I will not run in them. Walking will most likely wear this down over time, but I will have to put up with some pain.
