I love winter and thus, am constantly out in the elements. I have been wearing Bean boots since my college days but for some strange reason I ventured away. I will never do that again. I finally came to my senses and bought a new pair. I am so glad I did. I first ordered an 8 after reading the reviews but they were too small. Returned for the 9 and they are a dream! They arrived just in time for the first snow fall and my feet were toasty. I wore them to work but did find that on high glossed (polished) floors, they were a little slippery. Just be aware of this.

I have multiple pairs of LL Bean boots, but I decided I needed something warmer for Vermont winters. I literally wore these every single day last year, through some rough conditions including ice, rain, snow, salt for snow, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. They still look brand new! These boots are the warmest boots I've ever owned, and very versatile. Yes, they are expensive, but I don't see needing a new pair for a very long time (if ever!). Definitely worth the high price tag. If you spend a lot of time outside in snowy conditions, these boots are a must!

These boots are fantastic! They are the item that made me an LLBean fan. They are sturdy, warm, and reliable - basically everything you need in a heavy duty winter boot. They are definitely worth the price. I spent more on two or three other brands combined that all gave out after two or three winters. I've worn these boots for two winters now and they are in just as great shape as when they were brand new.

Love these boots, bought a pair years ago and they have lasted longer than any other boots I have bought. I lace them up part way and wear them as a pull on all year long. They are comfortable and have good traction no matter the weather. They are really warm in the winter and in Montana we get some cold weather. Since my old pair is finally wearing out I am getting another pair that will hopefully last just as long. The snow does get in around the tongue and I thought about getting the waterproof ones but went with the ones I know.

I bought my first pair of Bean boots last year after struggling to find narrow winter boots. I am so happy that I discovered that you make some of your styles in a narrow width. I bought the waterproof/ thinsulate version which are great. I would like something a bit warmer though. I am wondering if you could make some of your warmer Bean boots in other widths? I love the look of the shearling lined boots but in the all black colour you made a few years ago. I'm not a huge fan of the all brown colour you currently have. I also love the wicked good ones and these styles in the small batch selection you are making this year. Is it possible to make these in multiple widths for next winter? It would be really helpful as it is impossible to find narrow winter boots. They all slosh around on my foot making trudging through the snow even more annoying.

These are the best boots I've ever owned, bar none. Incredibly comfortable yet very durable and strong. Heavy but not too heavy. Warm but not too warm. Just the right amount of ankle support. Great traction. Gorgeous designed-by-hand quality. But there are a couple of important things to know when buying them. 1) They're so popular they're usually on back-order for several months. Mine didn't arrive until winter was over, so I had to wait a year to try them out. 2) They run very big, by about a full size. I wear a size 8 1/2, and a size 8 is the correct size for me in these boots, and it's roomy. 3) The liners inside the boots are *correctly* sized, thus they don't match the size of the boots. My toes kept hanging over the edges of the liners and it drove me crazy. I tried a few different replacement liners and the perfect ones ended up being from L.L.Bean. They're called Plyproplene Contr Insoles. They only come in men's sizes, but they carry them in the store, and if you bring in your boots and explain the problem they'll let you put them inside your boots to make sure you find the perfect size. A men's size 6 is perfect for a women's size 8 boot. You'd think that having to wait three months for my boots to arrive and then having to spend another $10 buying replacement insoles would cause me to deduct a star. But you don't understand how awesome these boots are. They hold up in heat, cold, mud, snow, and ice. They're still super comfortable after five hours. They're the best boots I've ever owned. So I'm sticking with five stars. Just make sure to order yours several months early so they arrive in time for winter!

I'm so glad I purchased these boots. They're warm and fit great. I'm usually a size 8.5 but the 8 fits perfectly, not too short. These boots will really last!

I was skeptical about spending so much money on a pair of boots, but honestly I'm so glad I did! They boots are amazing. Very comfortable, keep my feet both dry and warm and they're very durable. I've already worn them multiple times playing in the snow with my toddler, walking my dog in the rain, in slush and through snow banks. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 in most sneakers and boots, but ordered an 8 and they fit comfortably with wiggle room. I haven't worn heavy socks with them, so that might change the size you order. They're not the prettiest boots but in all honesty, I'd take warm, dry, and comfort over that any day. Besides living in New England, you have to get a pair on Bean Boots! Acceptable footwear pretty much everywhere :)

I have worn these boots every single day through Maine winters for the last 7 years. This most recent order was a replacement to my original pair as I finally wore through the stitching on the back of the boot, but please know that I am ROUGH on these. I wear them snowshoeing, with yak trax, and every other day with or without additional tracking. With a lifetime guarantee, they're worth the money.

I love these boots. I have been wearing my sister's pair whenever I go to her house and need to step outside real quick. They are easy to slide into and keep one's feet super warm and dry. My only complaint to LL Bean is, would it really hurt the company to allow the 25% off promos to apply to Bean Boots too? This is a very expensive pair of boots and I put them off for some time due to the expense. I believe the company does well enough to throw a bone to its customers. Other than this personal issue, boots are wonderful!!!!

I bought these for my girlfriend (I have the men's version). They keep your feet warm and dry in New England cold. Very comfortable. And they last. I've had mine for over 3 years and have no issues with them so far (girlfriend's are too recent to say how long they last, but wouldn't expect a difference).

I ordered these boots while I was visiting my Vermont home. I had just shoveled the driveway after a new snowfall. The Sorel boots I was wearing literally fell apart. The rubber fell away from the leather upper. I've never experienced such a thing! Unfortunately these boots were made in China and the quality or lack thereof was evident! As soon as I got back in the house I immediately ordered Bean boots! I wanted the quality boots that LLBean is known for and only the people of Maine can make. I received my new boots within a week and my feet have been warm and dry ever since. The leather and rubber components of these boots are meant to last a lifetime with the proper care. I'll be ordering the Boot Guard I forgot to order in December but I want to make sure I maintain these babies for years to come. They are comfortable, warm, and perfect for walking and working in snowy winter weather. The shearling lining keeps my feet warm on the coldest days. I wear a heavyweight sock and have had no problem with the fit. Follow the Bean advice re: size and you won't be disappointed! These boots far surpass any Sorel boot! These are going to go the distance and will not fall apart in the cold winters of New England that they were made for!! I love these boots! They're perfect for working my German Shepherds, walking, shoveling, or just playing in the snow! Thank you LLBean for giving me the quality I need in a real winter boot!

This is a great boot. I purchased them due to being a warm boot. Since boots tend to run wide for me,I was happy to see a Narrow size is available. I usually wear size 8 and the narrow makes this boot fit great! My only complaint is that the laces are too short.

My husband bought me these boots for Christmas and As soon as I opened the box, I put them on! I got a size 8 and they fit perfect with my wool socks on. We've been having a milder winter and haven't had much snow, so I wear them in the rain to and from work. My feet have been warm the one time it did snow and I was out shoveling. The laces are a little in the short side and I have the boots laced to the 2nd from top hole (seems to be the style these days). I love them!

I received these boots for Christmas this year and I really like them. My feet stay warm and dry. The boots are comfortable and easy to move in. They fit perfectly as well. Everything I could ever want in a boot. The only downside is they do take some time to lace up, but these boots are so nice that I am okay dealing with that! I am hoping that they will last me years.

I love these boots. They're amazing. I wear them for commuting on the bus to work and then change in to normal shoes when I get to work. They're fantastic. Super comfortable, very warm. I can't say enough good things. The ONLY complaint I have is that I wish they were made with the hooks for speed lacing as opposed to holes to put the laces through. I have to almost completely unlace them to get my foot in and that's just kind of annoying. Just time consuming to re-lace them. On the whole that's definitely not enough of a reason to not still love them. When I first put them on I thought they were going to be too small, but the shearling compresses, so even with bulky socks it's not a big deal. I'd follow the size recommendations listed.

I had been looking at Bean Boots for while, and went back and forth deciding on which ones to buy. I finally decided to go with the shearling because they sounded so comfy and warm..... I made the right decision! They are easy to get on, warm, comfortable (even on long walks), well made, and perfect for wet/snowy/cold New England winters. They are well designed and constructed, so no air or water gets in anywhere. I love that. I also love the way they look, and wear them all the way up (not rolled down), with the Eastland knots at the end of the laces, so I can slip them on for my quick walks to the bus stop on the chilly mornings. They seem to dry quickly, and odors are minimal. They are perfect!

I was so happy to receive my boots. I had never ordered boots from LL Bean before, and was very happily surprised to find the fit was perfect. I have very narrow heels, and am used to shoes and boots not fitting correctly, but these boots gripped my heel very well, and feel great. Thanks LL Bean!

I read the sizing information carefully and ordered accordingly and my boots fit perfectly! They protect my feet from the wet rain and snow we've already had this fall, and keep my feet warm. They are comfortable to wear for many hours in a row and look great!

Let's keep this short and sweet. I am a size 11-12 depending on the shoe and even with the lining I have space in the size 11s. LOVE THAT. They are extremely durable and not as heavy as I imagined. My Bf just moved here from Barbados, put his foot in the boot and has declared that he get a pair to tackle his first New England winter.

I love these snow boots! They're cute, comfortable and warm. They do run large. I'm typically an 8-8.5 (depending on the brand) but I have a 7 in these boots. One of the employees at the store told me there should be some room in the front because if your toes touch the front of the boot, they'll get cold very fast.

I was looking for a pair of relatively lightweight winter boots that would keep my constantly cold feet warm. I got these along with the shearling insoles. They have been wonderful for using on our daily 3 to 5 mile dog walks. I did order the my regular shoe size 7 1/2. That actually was too small with the sharing inserts. I returned them and got a size 8. Those fit perfect.
