I shied away from these several years ago and bought a less expensive pair- that weren't lined. Though they are great boots for inclement weather, my feet froze! Buying the lined boots has changed my life for the better. Seriously. I live in Maine.

Very pleased with quality of materials and construction. Warm. (I swapped the standard sole liners for sheepskin sole liners, so my feet are surrounded by cushioned warmth.) Great boots for tromping around on snowy slushy days (not so great on ice once the temps drop below freezing after sunset). Would appreciate shoelaces about 2" longer. Also, the tongue of the boot is quite stiff and doesn't conform easily to the bend of the ankle; it will take a while before the tongue develops creases necessary to conform to the contours of foot and ankle. It'd be nice if the tongue were slightly pre-bent into that complex set of curves. Wish that the uppermost 4-6 eyelets were hooks instead for quick on-and-off lacing, like the Redwing boots I've worn for many years.

These boots are wonderful! Very comfortable and comfy cozy. They fit true to size and keep my feet nice and warm. I have room to wear heavy winter socks too. I love the look of them too. Expensive, but with Beans brand, I know they'll last a very long time. Definitely worth the price.

Matthew did a great job with these boots. They're so warm and comfy. I wish it came in half sizes, but if I wear with really thick socks they fit perfectly. Hoping to love and use these snow boots for a very long time.

I purchased these boots a while back and love them. Our grown daughter visited during a snowstorm and borrowed them. She also loved them and so I bought her a pair of her own. Warm, dry, and comfortable.

The boots fit great and are warm at -13 degrees in the snow. I just wish the laces were longer.

Bought these to replace some muck boots for the snow, the muck, walking dogs, working around the house and yard, etc.
I'm a guy with narrow feet, size 9-10 depending on the brand shoe. It's hard to find narrow boots, so I bought the women's size 11 B width. Fits perfect. There is about an inch in the front of the toe for air circulation. I also bought 10 B's to test the size and my toe was right against the front of the boot, making them too tight.
Go with your lesser whole size (9), add two sizes when converting to women's and you'll be all set.
My feet are always cold. I live in Syracuse, NY (lots of snow and wet). While wearing these boots in negative temps outside, my feet were cool, but not cold. When wearing them inside a building, they were hot in the boot, so these have decent insulation.
But standing still in the cold will make them cold, so keep moving.
Walking the dog for an hour a day in the cold, these work great. They stay comfortable the whole time.
Style, all day long. These look great, even when wearng with business casual whole walking to work.
The grip is the only downfall. The chain texture is good on wet ground, but in lots of snow or ice or mud, they could use a little more aggressive tread. It's not a big enough problem to prevent me from buying again

Very comfortable, warm, and waterproof! Perfect winter boots. I usually wear size 9, but followed the advice of other reviewers and purchased a smaller size (8), which fits great!

I have coveted a pair of these boots for years and finally broke down and bought them this year. LOVE them. Comfortable out of the gate, zero break in time. Can be worn tied or untied. If you leave them untied they are still secure enough to stay on without being sloppy. Warm, soft, comfortable and best of all waterproof for sloppy days.

Very warm! Wore the boots to a football game in 35 degree weather. They stood up for almost 12 hours of tailgating and watching the game and I was the only one without frozen feet! Could not be happier with this purchase.

I usually wear 8.5 - 9 wide woman's shoe and just like everyone else I ordered a smaller size (8W), I could have gone a bit smaller. The boots are warm, comfortable and stylish. My only complaint is the laces, they are too short and stiff. I love these boots and I wear them all the time now!

I absolutely adore these boots. They are perfect for the Colorado winter. The wool lining keeps my feet super cozy and the material is waterproof--perfect for walking through slushy streets. I typically wear a US 7 or EU 37 and I ordered the size 6, which fit perfectly with even a touch of extra room for thick socks.

I can not say enough great things about these boots! Comfortable, functional, warm & they look great. I am such a hige fan of LL Bean, I had originally purchased these in a size too large, and LL Bean took them right back and ordered me a brand new pair in the correct size for my feet and the arrived withing days. Very impressed, I wear these almost every day. My feet are so happy! Thank you, LL Bean!!

I searched for a long time for decent women's winter boots in a wide width. These fit great and don't bother my bunion. I always wear 9W; they are a bit long but not too much, and the little extra room in the toes allow for extra warmth. I walk my dog in the CO mountains every day and these seem to get more comfortable the longer I wear them (have had them one month). Like other reviewers, I wish they had speed lacing instead of holes; they do take longer to tighten up and tie than my speed lace hiking shoes. But they keep my feet warm and dry and I have been surprised at the great traction on slippery, icy areas. The temps haven't been below 15 degrees so not sure how they will do in sub-zero weather, but very pleased so far.

These boots are AMAZING!!! Cozy and warm and adorable. They are however difficult to size properly. After several tries I discovered that a 6 Wide is a perfect fit for my somewhat narrow size 7 foot. The length is perfect and there is plenty of room for cozy socks. Well worth the wait!

Received nothing but positive feedback from my daughter (26). "didn't want to wear them to the chicken coop" but found them easy to clean up and expects that they will last her a while doing what she needs to get done. If she could wear them to work I think she would. Already talking about another pair without the lining for when the warmer weather comes. "They fit good, don't hurt my feet, and the size matches my other shoes"

I bought these boots last year toward the end of the winter. Fortunately my local store had my size in stock - so I did not have to deal with a backorder, and I was able to try different sizes to find the best fit. I normally wear a women's 11, but I sized down to a 10 for these boots. I have worn both regular socks and thicker wool style socks, and have found both fit comfortably. The boots are very warm, so for typical wear I don't find the need to use heavy socks.
The boots are heavy, and this can sometimes cause my legs to become fatigued. I am disabled from a knee injury, so I don't think the weight of the boots will affect someone else in the same manner.
The quality of materials and craftsmanship is evident in these boots. I love the style of the boots, and I can tell that the leather will break in nicely with regular wear. The color is a perfect rich brown that is neutral enough to go with anything. The shearling lining is fantastic! The extra warmth and padding that it adds truly adds comfort.
My only overall concern is the sole/tread. I worry that it may not be "grippy" enough in snow or icy surfaces. I noticed while I was outside shoveling snow this weekend, that snow got stuck to the soles a lot. I had to make sure to knock it off the bottom of boot otherwise it made it too slippery for me to walk. (This may only be an issue for individuals like myself who have a disability that interferes with mobility)

I ordered two sizes of these boots for my wife, who has an extremely narrow (quad A) and low volume foot. The quality and craftsmanship of these boots is outstanding. Unfortunately, even the narrow width was much too wide for her foot, so we had to return these. If you have an average width or slightly narrow foot, these would be great for wet weather or snow wear. If you have an extremely narrow and/or low volume foot, these very likely will not fit properly.
