Well made boot, just too clunky for me. Better for a younger person with strong back and legs. Bought snow sneakers instead. And order one size down.

Order for daughter who needed size 7 1/2. These boots are not offered in half sizes, however the website suggested ordering size 7. Boots are too tight. Too small in length. Sadly, a return was initiated. Disappointed. I may not order from LLBean again. Returned on February 21, still waiting for refund to bank. Please advise.

Alas, this pair of Bean boots didn't work for me. I'd had another pair like them, so I knew they weren't designed for cold or snow, but they were very good for walking the dogs on plowed surfaces. Their virtue for me was that the heel was narrow enough that my socks didn't end up in the toes of my boots. My first pair began to rub my heels, and I thought I had worn down the shearling to the point where it was no longer providing padding. It turns out that wasn't the problem. The stitching Bean's is using now (I had had the first pair resoled, and then they hurt) is very rough and extremely painful. I tried every pair of socks I own, but I'd come home from walks with raw patches on my heels. I returned them, and Bean's was good about refunding my money.

Only insulated in the upper, not the lower where I was hoping to have warmer toes. Had to send them back.

I bought these shoes to go to Lapland in Finland....I opened them to find that there were no shoe strings on one boot! So had to run around to find a pair of new boots. Poorly done.

I'm quite disappointed in these boots. I have tried to wear them several times and my feet are freezing within minutes. I even tried wearing wool socks with them. Even driving in the car my toes got cold. I would think for llbean and being over 200 I would have better quality.

The inside of shoe has the seam from rubber to upper shearling sticks out and irritates the foot. Literally tried them on and the triple seam stuck oit

I so wanted to love these boots but am so disappointed! I'd give 0 stars if I could. I purchased one pair and my feet were always wet and cold after a short time outside. I thought it might have been my feet sweating inside so tried different socks to no avail. Figured out that the boots leaked very quickly after stepping in a small puddle. I can not figure out how the water is getting in as there do not seem to be any cracks or seams at the bottom or edges of the boot. I returned the boots and purchased another pair thinking that it must have been a factory mistake. LL Bean is supposed to be so good! Well, the mistake was all mine. I can not wear these boots at all because my feet are ALWAYS wet and freezing. I'd love to play outside with my kids but right now I am using my son's cheap boots when he isn't wearing them because they are so much better than these. Can not believe I spent $200 to freeze my toes off. I might as well have put my cash on a shelf to stare at it because that is all these boots are good for. So disappointed!!

Although I love the fit and looks of the boots, the main reason I purchased them was for warmth during the winter. Unfortunately, the boots do not keep your toes warm and I find that if I'm outside in the snow for several hours my socks are wet after, not to mention freezing cold. Overall a very disappointing purchase.

I think I have already written a review on these boots but since I wrote a review on a couple of shirts I purchased last month thought I would add this to my disappointment again. I bought these boots a few years ago as they looked warm and I have problems finding boots to keep my fee warm. These are not warm at all in NY cold weather my toes froze after walking in the snow for only a few minutes. They have sat on the shelf since, they are so heavy to walk in that my legs hurt after wearing them. They are very good quality and made well but for the price they are not worth it. I keep them as a last resort because I paid so much for them I wont just toss them.
