They are a little big in size. Normally I'd need at least a size 11 in winter boots or sports boots/shoes and even then they are typically small (although I'm a size 10-10.5 in "normal shoes") so that's what I ordered but these are really big. I put an insulating thermal insole in on top of the original as these boots are still cold from the bottom up. I was actually surprised by how thin the sole is and had expected a thicker, sturdier sole. Apart from that I love these boots. I'm a rancher and am outside most of the day. These boots have made my life so much easier. I used to wear Ariat's Thinsulate boots but they are not very good to walk in and together with my thermal biberalls I was walking like I was wearing a moon suit. I do wished they had a warmer and heavier sole and that I had ordered them a size smaller but I do love them still

My size is US 7.5, and I chose 7M. They are perfect fit to wear with wool socks, comfortable and warm, the best boots I've ever own. I've walked around in muddy area and my feet stay dry, too. Craftsmanship is amazing. Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to spend many years with my boots.

I'd been shopping for apparel and footwear that will keep me warm during my first football game at "THE HEINZ". Being a Texan we rarely get really cold temps, but we are all about fashion. I started out shopping the expensive name brands, but quickly realized they weren't the garments of back in the day. I want to look fashionable and be warm as well. I received a L.L. Bean recommendation on my timeline one day. Best recommendation ever. I am so happy with my purchase. They fit perfect and I hope they keep me beyond warm during my 2/3 hours at the Heinz.

I grew up in a Mediterranean climateand when I moved to the cold and snowy Midwest, I bought a pair of these boots. They are wonderful. I got the shearling-lined boots and added the shearling insoles. These boots are warm and dry, even when I need to trudge through snow drifts. These boots somehow never seem too cold outdoors or too warm indoors: they breathe nicely. And when I was once walking with someone who slipped on ice, I had enough traction with these boots to stabilize us both. These boots are pricey, but they are worth every penny.

I took advice of others and ordered the Wide where I would normally take a medium. This allows for plenty of toe room and a good thick sock. I even can insert my orthotics. Can't wait for snow to try them out. I've had Bean's rubber Mocs for years so I'm sure these will be super in foul wet weather.

I first saw a bunch of women wear this on a blistering cold wet winter day in a restaurant. I wonder where they got their boots and what it is called? I tried these on, I wear a size 9 in shoes and read the reviews to order a size down and yuuup!!! They were right! When I press on the boots tip there's still room to spare. These boots are warm, cozy, and comfortable!!! My husband and I are so excited because I'm thoroughly pleased with my new boots!!!

Super cozy, super comfortable. Surprisingly versatile for such an insulated boot, didn't need to pull them off once temps started rising but also perfect once it drops below freezing

Living in NY, I need a warm boot for winter. This boot is waterproof, lined with soft fleece, and high enough to keep my pinkies warm and dry

Very comfortable and sturdy boots. Warm and comfy, easy to get on and off, laces are stiff, but loosen up with wear.

These boots will be perfect for winter the shearling on the inside is so warm and comfortable! The coloring is absolutely beautiful. I would go up on a 1/2 size because of the shearling

These boots are everything I'd hoped for and more! Truth be told I've wanted to buy a pair of these actual Bean Boots for years and several times bought cheaper versions that were always a disappointment in one way or another. These are very comfortable, warm and DRY! There's many reasons why they are a classic!

I ordered these boots at the end of winter. Haven't gotten a chance to wear them out. But, I did try them on and they fit perfectly. I ordered a size 8 medium.

I love my LL Bean winter boots. My feet are never cold in spite of the wickedly cold weather we've had lately. They are comfortable enough to shop and run errands in and I don't slip & slide in the snow and ice.

I am a size 9.5. I bought these boots 10 years ago in a size 8. They fit perfectly and served me well as I lived in Chicago and Vermont. Amazingly, I only had them repaired once! Finally, the rubber on the heel started to wear thin, so last month I returned to the LLBean site to buy myself a new pair. I ordered a size 8 but they were TOO SMALL! I returned them for a 9, and kept the size 9, but my feet slide around a lot inside. After about a month, I think I regret keeping them... I so loved my first pair! I hope this review helps people returning to buy a second pair, or people who are half sizes like me.

I ordered a 7, as I usually wear a 7.5 and the reviews said these run large. I also got the wide size, because I tend to wear very thick socks under my boots, but usually I wear medium width. They fit perfectly! My feet have stayed toasty warm, even in single digit weather, and they don't rub anywhere. I love these boots! I have nothing bad to say.

These are my second pair of LL Bean boots and I love them. My other pair is unlined so these are perfect for winter. They are comfortable and warm. I am usually a size 10 but a 9 fits well. I highly recommend!

These boots are honestly a no brainer. They're great. I've had the shorter, unlined version for years and loved them; I don't know why I didn't pull the trigger on these sooner. Thrilled to have them now. The only change I'd make is to attach the tongue further up so that no little bits of snow or water seep in. If you're hesitating, I say go!

I'm a size 7 wide in normal shoes and boots. I agonized over which size to order. I bought the size 6 D wide, and they are PERFECT. I wear regular socks, and have a bunion on my right foot that prevents many boots from fitting. I was able to wear them right out of the box to do errands, and was totally comfortable. They are beautifully made, and I love them. I live in the Adirondacks. Once you figure out your correct size with Bean boots, you will love them. I find that sizing down one full size works great for me. Worth every penny. :)

I wear these boots all fall and winter in parks everyday during rain and snowfall and they are THE BEST boots. My feet are ALWAYS warm and dry. I bought my boots in November 2018 and after two seasons I'm sending them in for repair (I really wore them in), and their repairs department are replacing the entire sole with a reasonable service charge ... but I'm basically getting a new boot back except the top will remain the same. I love LL Bean! Stylish, and really great product that delivers on comfort and warmth during the winter months in the parks with my dog. Regarding sizing, I'm normally a size 7 but I wear a size 6 in these boots. Not sure but they seem to run a size larger for Womens. I also purchased D (wide) since I wear thick wool socks in the colder months (and toe warmers if it's freezing out )

I received my pair as a Christmas gift back in 2010 to navigate icy and snowy Central New York winters at college. They were both warm and reliable as well as fashionable for that purpose! I also used them while working outside at a horse barn for hours in bitterly cold (sometimes subzero) weather and my feet were never, ever cold. I now live in Europe and these continue to be effective and stylish on cold, rainy cobblestone streets in fall through spring weather. I recently had mine re-soled after 12 years of regular to heavy fall & winter use as the tread and Thinsulate finally wore down to the point of not being effective, and had a great experience. They work and look good as new and I would absolutely opt to resole again when necessary/possible for my other boots in the future!
