I am somewhat happy with my purchase. Backpack is very cute and sturdy. However, I chose to have the backpack monogrammed and the font is so small you can't really see it. Not what I was hoping for. My daughter does have a longer name but I had a friend whose child's name was longer and it was bigger. Same font as I used. It looks like they used the font for the lunchbox on the backpack. When I called customer service the lady was very dismissive and wouldn't even listen to what I was trying to say. I will probably use it this year but if I want her name on her backpack to where it can be read I will look elsewhere.

Bookpack is fine however the monogram is hard to few.

It's a regular size backpack. A little too large for my 5 year old granddaughter. But very pretty and well made.

So far my daughter has used this backpack for about a month and it works great.

Small black stains above the embroidery. Not bad, but they are very noticeable.

Cute backpack. Good sized. This is great for an elementary school-aged kid for school or for a carry-on bag on a plane. The water bottle holder got a hole in it within a week; however, I took it back to the flagship store in Freeport and they swapped it out for a new one, no problem.

It's perfect. My child had the smaller bag and needed one slightly bigger. Loving the pattern.

This is a good size for our 1st grader. Her specific feedback is the straps are a little hard which is why she took off one star. She likes the water bottle pocket on the side and the accessories pocket for pencils and smaller items. The color is really pretty.

Great backpack. Would have gotten five stars, but the monogramming is terrible. I have to look closely to see it.

Great, classic backpack. I wish it had a little more padding for electronic devices, at least on the bottom. My kiddo drops his bag on the floor pretty hard, which can't be good if there's an iPad inside. Other than that, love it.

This backpack is very well made. When my grandkids start school I buy them this backpack and have it monogrammed. I would give it 5 stars but this time 4 since I was very disappointed with the monogramming. I chose black monogramming and half his name is sewed on black so you can't see it. You'd think the person doing the sewing would see this and place his name in a different spot. It's a great backpack. Just unhappy with how his name turned out. My oldest grandson used it all the way through elementary school, 6 years!

great back pack, perfect size for a young student 5-8 years old, fits evething we need it to and is comfortable for young kids to carry! love the print and quality zippers !

It would be nice to see a second bottle holder on the other exterior side of the backpack, as well as a pocket in the main compartment for item separation inside the backpack. Otherwise, a good bag.

Very nice looking, bright print. The material is thinner than I would have expected (you can see through it) from backpacks of my youth, but we'll see how it holds up. The zippers could be improved - don't seem to be yyk quality and don't close easily unless the tapes are already aligned neatly. So we'll see, I have hopes it'll last a few years until my child moves up to a heavier duty bag.

My daughter has had the Junior sized backpack for the past 3 years (K-2) and it's been great overall, though the zippers are now difficult to open and close, which seems like a short lifespan for an L.L. Bean product. Anyway, she's 8 1/2 and going into 3rd grade so I bought her a new one and chose the next size up for her to grow into. It's HUGE! Even with the straps tightened all the way it's ridiculous and won't stay on her body. I ended up ordering her another Junior sized one to use this year.

Arrived as promised. I did expect the monogramming to be larger but my granddaughter loves it. That's what matters.

The bag is perfect. Sturdy, zippers work great. The monograms were horrible-very tiny-would need a magnifying glass to see. I took it to a nearby store and had them shave out the horrible monogram and had them put a new one on it. Buy the bag, save your money on the monogram.

Overall it is a very nice school bag, however I was expecting the normal shiny smooth material that llbean is know for and instead it was more of a rough thick material. No other isssues.

We got this bag a month ago for our rising kindergartner to use at day camp this summer and to use for elementary school. So far, so good! It holds a lot and seems pretty well made. I wonder if the fabric could be a little stronger, as it is already showing signs of fairly rough use looks like my son is dragging it on the ground (parking lot or grass or both), but it's hard to know if it's fair to hold the company accountable for that kind of treatment See pic.

Loved the backpack however had my grandsons name monogrammed and the writing is very tiny and hard to see.

This backpack is almost exactly what we were looking for for our kindergartener. Other backpacks started to get too small as she now has to bring her chromebook to and from school. My only complaint is that the water bottle holder is a little short. Some of her bigger water bottles tip out of the pocket and there is only one side pocket. The backpack is slightly too big for her, but I know she will grow into it and the quality is excellent so should last her a few years.

Backpack is great. I also got my sons name monogrammed and the only bad thing is the size of the monogram. Wish it could have been bigger

I ordered a backpack for my Grandson and had it monogrammed. I went with the blue color recommend by you and you can hardly see his name. I wish I would of gone with a silver or lime green. Besides that, the overall backpack is great.

Really love the bright colors of the bag. I have two twin girls. The only problem I have is with the embroidery. It is so incredibly small. What gives LL Bean? I purchased a back pack years ago for my son. A very nice red one. The embroidery was large and very impressive. Have no idea why the company went with such a small embroidery font. Really hope you will consider using a larger method of embroidery. Otherwise, I do not think I want to us that feature again.
