I agonized over the bags for my Kindergartener and originally purchased the 16L Junior bag which was a mistake (too small, she immediately sized out of it). Less than two years later I upgraded to this 24L bag which is significantly better and accommodates 8.5x11 sized materials without bending the corners. This 24L bag is perfect to get them the whole way through elementary school, I wish I'd just bought this size initially.

Bought two of these backpacks for my kids. One tore badly so I sent to in for repair and after paying $15 to sent it back, was told they could not repair it and would not replace it. I've been a lifelong LL Bean customer based on their amazing customer service. Apparently this is no longer the case. Very disappointed in the quality as well as customer service.

These back packs hold up and are perfect for daycare , preschool, and elementary school! My five and six year olds can wear the backpacks and there's room to grow.

I haven't used this yet but hoping it holds up as well as these bags did when I would purchase them for my now adult kids when they were in grade and high school.

This bag is exactly as described. The color and quality are excellent, and it arrived quickly. Customer service was efficient and helpful as well. L.L.Bean truly stands behind its products, which is why they continue to be one of the best!

This was a birthday gift for a friends little boy and he loved it.

My nephew loves his new backpack. Most importantly his mom LOVES it. It is the perfect size for him and it will take him all the way through elementary school! It also has his favorite things on it dinosaurs.

I bought this backpack for my daughter 7 years ago. She has taken it to school every single day since then, and it has held up almost perfectly since! She loves it completely, and still doesn't want me to buy another new one for her!

Great material, cool design, very rugged and my son loves it.

This was a present for my 6 year old grandson. He and his mother are extremely pleased with it. We got his name monogrammed on it and that added a nice touch.

Years ago I bought this backpack when my daughter started 4th grade, after having to buy new ones every year because other brands (even name brands) tore, broke, etc. My daughter is in her senior year and using the same backpack! Not one tear, hole, or even thin spot!! I wash it when school starts and it looks brand new. Funny story, when she was walking to the first day of middle school she overheard some boys behind her say, "I know who that is, I recognize her backpack!" Look, if you want to press the easy button and get something that lasts, this is what you need. If you don't like the print, the other styles are quality too, as long as it's L.L.Bean, you're good for several years.

I love these for my kids. sturdy and cute backpacks. This is the third one I have gotten for my kids.

As an RN, this is a great size for a work bag. Has plenty of separate pockets. Fits my laptop sleeve and tools for the day.
