We already have a LL Bean bag for my daughter that has done well since 1st grade (now a 3rd grader) so when my son entered 1st grade, it was time to upgrade him too (we previously had the LL Bean smaller backpack but he needed a big kid bag). The camp green color is popular and I ended up calling 3 LL Bean stores as it was sold out online. All of the associates at the LL Bean stores were AMAZINGLY helpful. Can't say enough good things about that experience. He loves the bag and we both love the color. And I see us getting many, many years out of it, just like my daughter's bag. I love buying things once and not having to replace over and over again. Such a money and time saver. Well worth the money. Thank you so much LL Bean!

We bought this for our grandson because our son who is 42 years old still has the L.L. Bean backpack that we bought him in third grade.

So far so good. This backpack takes a beating and is holding up pretty well so far. The reflectors are also an added bonus since we live in a rural area and darkness comes around here pretty quickly during the cold seasons. Would recommend it.

I love the quality, I haved been using L.LBean backpacks since I was a child now I buy it for my kids, they last all thru school year. Only thing I disagree is shipping, I have to wait til I make the amount of purchase for me to make a free shipping purchase.

So far this has been a great backpack for my kindergarten kiddo. And will surely carry him through 1st and 2nd grades! It fits a folder and lunchbox with more room for other items.

We have bought these for all our children and grandchildren when they start school. We always get them monogrammed and they have served flawlessly.

Purchased for my 6 year old Granddaughter. Had it monogramed and it looks very nice but she hasn't started school yet. After buying many LLB backpacks I'm very sure it will hold up like the rest have.

Love the durability of these backpacks. Wish they came in a few more colors, but overall would purchase again for my other children
