Brings back memories from my childhood. My child was so excited to get this backpack.

My older son is starting 6th grade with the same LL Bean backpack we got him in 1st. It's still in great condition, is color neutral, very functional, and can be washed! Five stars.

This backpack was donated to our church's (Willow Creek Community Church, So. Barrington, IL.) Care Center. 2,600 new backpacks were collected for students returning to school. Most of them are from under-resourced families who come to the Care Center for food, clothing, medical and dental care and legal aid. The backpacks were filled w/school supplies.

We haven't put it to use, yet, but it's adorable, simple, and seems well-constructed. My kiddo is happy!

This the 4th time I have bought this backpack. The first time was roughly 20 years ago and every time we need a new backpack which is rarely because I bought LL Bean ones, this is my go to. This set was bought for a 2nd grader and a kindergartner. The family was pleased and I was happy to see the smile on the kids faces. These backpacks last a lifetime and are awesome!

The exact right size for my older grade schoolers. They can't over fill it, but holds all their school stuff perfectly. Seems real sturdy and well made. The perfect simple straightforward backpack.

Well build, sturdy, timeless. The larger bags are perfect for my elementary age children and the smaller fits great on my pre schooler.

This is a great classic backpack, perfect to send with our kiddo on their first day of kindergarten. The embroidery was done beautifully and we love it.

My son chose this green backpack for the start of pre-k and it's so cute!! Knowing how great the quality of LL Bean is, I know it will last until middle school for sure! We had it embroidered with his name on it and it looks fantastic.

A great book bag for a upcoming six grader. Not too big and not too small. Just right.

I purchased this to bring while hiking Block Island seeking glass floats. It was absolutely perfect for a day pack. It fit my jacket in the large section; water on the side, and the smaller compartment on the front stored all my necessary wallet items and keys perfectly. The pack was comfortable to wear for the 8 miles we did that day.

This is the perfect kindergarten backpack. It will last through grade school, but isn't so big that they can't carry it.

Perfect size for me I use this as my carryon while flying fits perfectly under the seat. Plenty of room for my purse, iPad & other travel essentials.

sturdy and well-made. Pockets in the pocket make it easy to wort my stuff. I especially like the key clasp. Finally decided to splurge on a quality backpack for myself.
