My granddaughter loves her new backpack for Kindergarten!! Her older brother received one for Kindergarten and it's going strong into 2nd grade. LLBean's quality remains strong!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this backpack! I had them as a kid and was so excited to purchase on for my son when he started Pre-K. High quality backpack that will last for years to come!

It's such a good size for my son that's in 3rd grade, it literally fits every single thing. I even put his lunch bag inside the back pack it stil roomy for more things like his jacket or sweater. I bought one for my 6 year old daughter for kindergarten and not to big for her it seems to be the right size for both of them. Love these backpacks might get the a second one just to switch them up a little throughout the year. The monogram is an awesome touch to the back packs. And they hold up nice in the washer and dryer.

I was worried this would be too small for my 4th grader (9 years old) but it's not! Great size and color. She wanted a backpack that would still be cool as a 5th grader next year. Think we found it!

Good size for my smaller 5 year old. She'll be able to use it for a few years, but it's manageable now. It fits her folder, bento, snack bags, a hoodie, water bottle, and there is room for a lot more. The straps are a bit stiff for her, but they do stay on her shoulders. It's the most weather resistant one we could find, considering she will be walking every day to school. She loves the monogram. Had to call customer service for something and he was the nicest, corniest guy. Lol. He took care of my mistake of ordering the wrong color.

I purchased these as our twins' first ever backpacks (pre-K). The first few days of school were very rainy and these held up beautifully for our walks to and from home. They fit each kid's PB lunchbox inside (a teacher requirement) with enough room for a rest mat and more. While they look just a little big for our almost 5 year olds, they handle them just fine. We did add adjustable chest/sternum straps with buckles to help the backpacks stay on securely and comfortably as they get used to wearing a backpack and grow into them a bit more. Love the simple, thoughtful design; and, L.L.Bean is one of the few companies that offers simple, bright colors without crazy patterns.

Great classic look, in a stylish color, this size is perfect for my kindergartener.

My daughter loves this particular blue and loves the comfort. She wishes she had the bucket around the waste like her brother has with the larger deluxe version but nonetheless she loves her backpack :)

Got this backpack for our 3rd grade granddaughter. It is "Bean" tough and has more than met all our expectations. Would recommend it highly.

Bought this for my first grader and it is the perfect size for her to grown into. She used the smaller version for years and we finally upgraded her to this one. Love the color, size, and pockets.

I was expecting the backpack to be made of flimsy material. Boy, was I wrong, the material is sturdy. I can see how it can last "forever."

Perfect for kindergarten!I bought this hoping it can be used for years to come. We added a couple keychains of characters that he's interested in an plan on changing them out over the years. It seems like a strong sturdy backpack that will through elementary school until he's ready for a bigger one. It was exactly what my kiddo wanted in a backpack- green!

My kids used llbean backpacks for elementary school through high school. New ones were purchased when they went off to college and they are still using them. Now, I was very happy to get them for my grandchildren who are going off to school. They were both excited to receive their choice of color for the pack and the monogram. Hopefully they will provide years of use again.

Can an LL Bean Original Book stand up to a scrappy 4 year old boy? Only time will tell. Here's to years of puddles, kicks, drops and slams. Crammed with books, cleats, lunches and snacks. Oh the stories..if only this L.L.Bean book pack could talk:)
