My oldest son has had his for 2 years and it was time to get my youngest one. Both kids love these backpacks!

I used to carry these in school and now my sons are using them. They are the best backpacks for kids; sized just right, comfortable straps, and durability that lasts for years.

Colors were exactly as shown and size is perfect for my almost 6 years old. Bought the same backpack a few years back for my daughter (in blue) and still in great shape!

My only complaint is I wish it had more storage pouches but other that it is awesome

I purchased this backpack for a trip I took recently. The dimensions conform to the airline's size requirements for a "personal item" that would fit under the seat. It is very spacious and I was able to carry all my clothing and personal items for a three day trip. It was comfortable to wear on my back, too.

My foster son loves his backpack. I love how happy he is with it Honestly I will probably by another to have on hand for emergency placements . They are so durable and they are just the right size. Not to big or small. They have enough pockets without having to many for the younger kids who forget what pockets they put things in.

Would've loved a 2nd water bottle holder, but mostly I was looking for a sturdy backpack for an elementary age child. That's what I received! Thank you :)

A classic style backpack- no heavy wheels or mechanisms to weigh the bag and wearer down. It's durably made,has comfortable straps and very roomy. Adding a name or monogram tops or off!

Great size for our son in preschool. Holds his notebook, blanket/pillow, lunch box, and change of clothes easily.

Perfect size for my kindergartner! His second grade sister also has this size. Fits his lunch, extra clothes, indoor shoes, books and a few folders. Perfect size for elementary schoolers!

I'm a big fan of LL Bean backpacks. I got my first, a Deluxe book pack, over 20 years ago for high school, and it's still in good shape to this day. So when my son started kindergarten this year, I went straight to LL Bean and bought him the Original book pack. His backpack is lightweight but still roomy enough for all the things he needs (lunch box, change of clothes, folders and art projects). It should definitely last him through elementary school. He said it's comfortable, and he has no problem using the zippers himself. It's also easy to wipe clean. I appreciate the addition of the water bottle pocket as well. Overall this is a great backpack for elementary school kids!

Awesome backpack for my elementary school child. It's big enough for everything he needs for school and it's lightweight. My only gripe is that I wish there was an interior pocket or divider.

Every year for 18 summers, I got my niece a backpack from LLBean. It was always a highlight of our trip to New England. She is now 31 and has a daughter. My niece insisted that her 3 year old's 1st backpack come from LLBean in Freeport!!! Sophia picked out the red one right away! And loves it. I have a pic of Sophia and the woman who STAYED OPEN at the monogram if place so Sophia could have it that night. And then she came to find us to make sure Sophia got it that night!!!!
