My son loves his new backpack, and the monogram turned out great. We chose this backpack because of its reputation as a bag that you can keep using for years. There is plenty of room for everything he needs and more!

This backpack fits my 9 yr old son very well. Plenty of room to grow due to the adjustable straps.

My oldest grandchild is starting kindergarten this fall. I have three children and while they were attending grade school I would buy them LL Bean backpacks and have them monogrammed. I just purchased a backpack and had it monogrammed for my granddaughter. She loves it and can't wait to use it for school. The tradition continues!

My son has used this backpack for 6 years kindergarten through 5th grade. And it's still in EXCELLENT condition!! No broken zippers, no tears, etc. He will move on to middle school next year and we will be buying the LL bean Deluxe backpack because he needs more space, but he could easily keep using this one. All you soon-to-be kindergarten mommas take note Highly recommend!

This backpack is a wonderful, sturdy and resilient little pack meant to be large enough to store all your little scholars belongings without being too large that it overwhelms a small child. My four year old loves his, especially with having his name on it. I would however, recommend not getting the yellow one like we have. If I could trade it in for a different color I would, the yellow is nice brilliant and noticeable statement but is somewhat see through which I don't particularly love. I really wanted the dark green one which was on back order so we settled for the yellow. Next upgrade will not be yellow, but it will be an original LL Bean!

We bought this same bag for our oldest son for kindergarten. It fit him perfectly and carried everything he needed. He is still carrying it going on his 3rd school year and even being thrown around and not treated carefully, there are little signs of wear (other than needing a spot clean)! We knew for our youngest who will be going in to kindergarten later this fall that we would get him the same backpack with hopes it will last just as well.

LLBean book packs are simply the best kids back packs ever. Perfect size. Perfect shape. Perfect compartments. Perfect colors. And being able to monogram them is just icing on the cake. Have ordered these over and over for my 9 grandchildren.

This fits the notebook my 1st grader needs, his water bottle, lunch, and sweatshirt.

Has endured half a dozen spills already. Luckily enough they were early in the school year so we were able to turn it inside out and let it dry in the sun. One curious note, teacher puts a strip of painters' tape along the zipper flap and says that she sees kids get the zipper stuck a lot on this type of bookbag (was not referring specifically to brand - just style). No complaints, room for everything and a five year old handles it well.

I had two LL Bean book bags that carried me through junior high, high school and college. That was more than 20 years ago. We bought this one for our dog (not to carry himself, for us to transport his blanket, snacks and meds to daycare). This is just as sturdy, durable and dependable as the two I had decades ago. Love the extra pouches in the small zippered compartment. Good to know some quality products never change!

I purchased this backpack for my walks with my dogs. It holds my water bowl, keys, water bottle and more. It's lightweight and perfect for me.

When I travel, I pack a backpack full of books, journals (yes, more than one), pens, crayons, typical day hike items (whistle, hat, emergency blanket, matches, wipes, etc.), and other misc. items. Packed full, it's quite heavy. After ripping up multiple box store cheapies, I finally got the super deluxe book pack years ago, and it has not gotten one snag, rip, or broken seam thread, in spite of heavy use. So this summer I ordered the original book back for each of my younger children. They use them mostly for travelling, but we also plan to use them for day hikes. I'm very pleased with their durability, and highly recommend them. They are well worth the price, since by the time mine wears out (will it ever?) I might have spent much, much more constantly replacing cheaper ones.

Awesome bag for my son, he's in Pre-K and 4, so it's a little bigger than needed, but perfect at the same time!! Fits well and will for at least a few years!!

I purchased three book bags for my kiddos. I had one in Highschool and I still use it! The only bummer was the backpack that was orange. It is more of a peach like orange. Our boy thinks its pink and doesn't like it. I'm going to try returning the orange one.
