Lightweight and fits well, but wish the hood zipped off.

Love this vest. Looks great. The zipper is a bit fussy to get started.

The vest is a good length and fits true to size. It is a thinner light weight puffer and works as a nice indoor extra layer. It is great to have a petite size option.

I purchased the mariner blue and I love the color. I wear leggings a lot so I wanted a vest a little longer to cover the butt and this one does the trick. I found the armhole openings to be large but I have that issue with most of beans outerwear. When its cold I will put a heavy fleece or sweater under it and it will be perfect. I don't find it particularly warm but it does block the wind. I would actually buy a second one in black but I think the price point is too high for what what you get.

Very comfortable, great length, the hood is not skimpy or just for looks -it works! The zipper is hard to get attached to zip. Only flaw. It eventually goes, but always needed to try a few times. Could just be me!

I'm 4'9 about 120 lbs. The vest was too long for me. I also didn't care for the fabric sides.

Two changes would make this a 10 star! First, the fit us great! The stretchy side panels move with me but keep the vest snug but not tight. Great for those of us with a bit mire hip than we'd like. Planning on using as an extra layer when traveling and this vest is lightweight and packable. Improvements that would make the vest everything I could hope for 1) removable hood, since I'm often wearing under a coat that already has a hood, this extra hood is often in the way. Also if its clear but cold, I don't want the hood. 2) the inside of the collar could be lined with a softer fabric. Once I warm up the fabric is sticky.

I loved this vest so much, but sadly I had to return it. The hood is so large that when I had it upright it fell over my eyes. Not practical or safe. I ended up getting the long sweater vest and have been happy with that. If this packaway vest gets revamped with a tighter hood, I would totally buy again. :)

I like how it looks and fits, but it's not as warm as I had expected, especially for the price!

I bought a medium and it fits well except it's a little large under the armpits. I am larger in the hip area than my top so maybe this is why. I love thee longer length.

What a great vest overall. Soft, lightweight, very comfy. The only downside is that the zipper is the WORST. LL Bean used a 10 cent plastic zipper on a $150 vest. What were they thinking?

I haven't had the chance to wear this much since it's been such a bitter cold winter, but the vest is a great length (longer than most), which is the reason I got it. I would have actually preferred it without the hood, since I anticipate wearing it both inside and outside, but I wanted the length. I'm 5'10" so it's nice to have a vest that covers my butt fully. I like the knit side panels. It fits as expected for the size. It's a bit fitted, but that's what I expected from the style. If you want it over heavier tops, order up. I plan to use this more as an early spring vest, so don't expect a ton of warmth from it.

I love everything about this vest except the zipper which is difficult to work. The first one I ordered I had to return bc I could not get the zipper up. Strange that a second one is giving me the same problem. It zips, but it's tricky to work. It should be flawless at this price.

I love the weight and warmth of this vest. It fit perfectly. This is the second one I have purchased. I had a problem with the zipper of the first one. I gave only 4 stars because I still have little problem with the double zipper. It sometimes take 2-3 tries to zip or unzip.

I love this vest! It's super comfortable and keeps you warm but light enough for days that aren't too cold. I only gave it 4 stars because I would have preferred it if the hood was removable (for style purposes) sometimes feels/looks bulky from the hood. Other than that I wear it all the time!

Love this vest! I was looking for a vest with a hood and this one fits the bill. It's light and packable and I like that it has a zippered inside chest pocket in addition to zippered side pockets. I also like the long length. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wish it had a cinch cord on the bottom. I typically wear an XL in most jackets so was glad I read the reviews and used the find your fit option on the website. Size Large fit me perfectly.

I liked this vest, and it is definitely roomy, but the hood does not come off. It would interfere with a scarf or a hat. Also, the zipper is a little difficult to work. Returning it.

I wish the sides were pink and not a weird black material. It makes you look big. Not my favorite vest.

Warm and comfortable. Nice big pockets. I ordered my usual size. A winter shirt is comfortable underneath but a sweatshirt would be too much underneath for me to zip up. I gave it 4 stars because the zipper is tricky. Returned the first vest, but the 2nd one had tricky zipper too.

It's comfortable, fitted but not tight, and long enough to cover up bun without being awkwardly long. It's just thin as it is a pack away. However, it is warm for how thin it is.

I really like everything about this vest except the side panels. The black material attracts lint, especially pet hair. I frequently have to use a lint roller.

I had been looking for a long vest for a while now. I liked the thinness of this one. I was hoping that it would be a bit longer. I'm on the tall side so might be longer on average height people. I've struggled with the zipper a bit. Not sure if it's me or the zipper! Love the navy. Love the hood. To note - the hood isn't removable.

Very light weight and warm. I like the snug fit and the length. I especially like the inside chest pocket. I hope that it lives up to it's high price. I expect to get many years of wear out of it.

Really good vest for an athletic, outdoor person -- great fit, great quality. I agree with other reviewers, the hood is done incorrectly. The designers should have either had a seamless connection to the collar, not had a hood, or made it removable -- its odd in its current state. As for the panels on the side other have commented on -- these are standard on comparable high-end outdoor/athletic vests. In fact they are needed to get the perfect fit, allowing a person to move freely or unrestricted (enabling function and form in a vest). If you only want form, probably don't buy from an "adventure" company. Great vest -- definitely recommend!
