I love the vest but the zipper sticks makes me nervous that it will break

The vest was not made completely from quilted fabric. Rather there were black knit side inserts (that did not match the blue jacket color ) and looked ugly. The quilting was the same everywhere and very basic. The hood was not removable. All in all a bust for what could have been a nice product.

Long enough, but not good quality. Very light weight and the non-removable hood is annoying.

i was in between two of the sizes so it was not the right fit for me

Nice color but top part is cut way too wide no matter how small I went with sizing. It either needed to be cut differently or it needed darts. The padding was also really thin but since it didn't really fit, I didn't test it in the cold.

Nice vest crummy zipper it is difficult to zip every single time, frustrating

I like the style but there seems to be very little insulation, especially for the price. I haven't worn it outside yet but do not expect it to provide much warmth. Maybe I will be surprised but first impression is disappointed.

This vest should be a five star rating. However, the zipper is very difficult to get seated to be properly pulled up. It takes several tries and a lot of care not to pull it up and have it not zipped at the bottom. I am not sure how long the zipper will last. Otherwise. Everything about it is very nice.lightweight, warm, packable.

Very nice vest except that the hood is too large -- meaning that when the hood is actually worn it extends forward so far that one's view is completely obstructed and one looks ridiculous. There is a toggle adjustment by the neck on each side of the hood that allows for the hood to be tightened around the face. However there is no toggle adjustment that allows the crown to be reduced so that it better conforms to the head and allows free vision. If you do not plan to ever wear the hood then that might not be a problem. However I was specifically looking for a hooded vest and this does not work for me. I also found the 2 way zipper hard to align. Overall this vest did not work for me and I am returning it.

I returned this because the insulation is really thin.

Received this vest as a gift. Within a month the zipper failed. I now just keep the vest zipped half way and I step in and out of it. Unless you are looking for a step-in/ step out vest, I would avoid this product, at least until LLBean openly addresses the flaw.

This definitely is packablethere's almost nothing to it! I put it on and feel like a sweatshirt provides more warmth. I think this is more for looks than utility. The zipper issues mentioned in so many reviews are right. It's surprising that LL Bean would allow this thing into production.

Love a longer vest and this one is perfect. Very warm yet light. I am 5'6 and about 140 lbs and a small fits perfect. Falls below buttock. Would buy again. Nice quality. Very comfortable.

Poor construction. Zipper would not consistently zip up. Yes, I do know how to work a two way zipper. Returned and requested another vest. Their replacement was a vest that had been worn as it was stretched out through the hips, contained no original garment tags and had a dirty napkin in the pocket. On contacting customer service, I was told they couldn't guarantee a new unused vest would be sent on my third attempt as the last one came from the warehouse, not a store. I did not reorder.

Not up to usual LLBean quality - this vest is thin, cheap ly made and has a polyester insert that looks and feels awful

The zipper sticks and is terrible to do up. Once I get it on I dont want to take it off

Great color and length but that's it. No warmth and the zipper... it's is nearly impossible to insrert the bottom pin into the bottom box consistently so it will zip up. You have to insert it just right and hear a "click" to zip it. I went back and tried on more of the same vests, even in different colors, and all of them have the same issue. Too frustrating, and for the price, I am sending back.

I really like the length of the vest. BUT it is paper thin and the zipper doesn't work - can take 3 tries to zip. The packaway zipper doesn't work either and gets the very thin fabric stuck in it. The hood is too big. The 'panels' on the side are odd and don't keep you warm. It's going back. L.L. Bean quality has really gone downhill lately.
