I want to love these hiking shoes... I really do. They're nice-looking and very durable. But they hurt my feet! By the end of the day I can't wait to take them off. And the last day I wore them I got a blister on my left foot. I've never owned a pair of shoes or boots that gave me a blister. I haven't given up on them completely. I'm going to try different socks next time I wear them to see if thst helps.

I have a problem fitting my left foot and these shoes unfortunately didn't solve it, so I returned them. Not the fault of the shoe, of course.

I found the soles to be very firm. Toe box narrow. Not a comfortable shoe. I returned them.

I keep trying to like these shoes but they are quite stiff generally everywhere. I am actually looking forward to removing them at end of the day. I keep trying different socks to wear with them but it doesnt make much difference.

These used to be my favorite shoes. I've gone through several pairs over many years, but I can definitely sense that the quality is deteriorating. My problem with the latest pair is that they don't breathe like ones I had before. My feet tend to get sweatier now when I wear these. I'm not sure what I am going to do but I may need to find something else. LL Bean is not what it used to be and starting to more clearly not be worth the extra price.

Well built shoe. Great color. Fits as expected. Hoping these shoes feel more "broken in" over time. Right now, feel pretty stiff for my troubled feet.

Ordered an 11.5 EEE, recvd. what looks like a 10 B, they claim on paper it's an 11.5 EE. Here's a clue: go to any US shoe store, pick up a shoe and measure it's length and width. Then size your foreign jobs to that scale. Seems simple, but LLB can't figure it out. I sent the cute little buggers back!

I wanted a waterproof shoe to wear on rainy days and those with light snow. These are okay with some qualifications. They fit comfortably but are heavier than my average footwear, and are much stiffer and heavier than expected. Also, the supplied shoelaces loosen up often unless really tightening the knot - very annoying. They are waterproof so far and I'm actually glad that I don't have to wear them too often. I could never see myself actually hiking in them. Many other shoes that I looked at on the market are very similar.

I wore them once. Do they come wider? Can I exchange them for the wider shoe?

I bought these to keep my feet dry on my daily hourlong dog-walk through dewey wet, grass in a city park, thus allowing me to avoid changing shoes after the walk. The salesperson at the LL bean store assured me that the shoes have a waterproof membrane. If that is true, the membrane does not extend over the toebox or into the tongue, and the water soaks through to the top of my foot. This is a big shame as I otherwise find the shoes mighty comfortable, and much warmer, than my unlined duck boots. I wish I could keep them, but I already have shoes that can't keep my feet dry in wet grass.

I just did not care for the styling. The top of the toe box is the mesh fabric. I pefer mostly leather toe box with a minimum mesh just for trim. I just did not like the look. Purely a personal preference.

I bought one pair of these shoes to walk my dog in the morning when the grass was wet. The left shoe stayed dry and the right shoe didn't. LLBean replaced the shoes and my feet were wet on the first walk in the grass. These shoes are very comfortable but not waterproof as it says inside the shoe.

Nice looking, but not nice fitting. Ordered another pair in additional half size. That pair arrived but then the width was too small. I will stick to clothing purchases from LL Bean.

This is the 4th pair of waterproof trail hikers that I have had. They fit perfectly right out the box. I have special shoes because of bad feet but these feel just as good.

Bean shoe sizes fit me well, but this one is too tight. A half to whole size larger would have fit better. The are great for walking, but not for constant wear.

Love the shoe but 3rd pair and cannot get the right fit. I am a true 10 1/2 and went to an 11 wide which fit but then to high on sides and rubbed my Macklemore

The shoes look great, but they hurt my feet terribly. They are the same size (11 1/2 EE) are comfortable. I plan on returning the pair that I have and looking into a different size or different style.

Overall a good shoe, except that the interior lining of the heel cups wear out quickly -- within weeks. I have had to purchase pads to re-enforce the lining on two pairs of shoes now.

Nice looking shoe, not as wide as I like. Normally LL Bean's EE trail hikers are wider than this. Hopefully it stretches out a bit as I wear it more. Haven't worn it in wet weather yet so I can't attest to it's waterproof qualities.

Shoes are narrow even though I ordered wide, Right shoe must have been packaged wrong as it has a fold/ bend inward on top of lace up which causes a bruse on top of foot. Can't hike in them nor even ware for more than a 1/2 hour.
