Very narrow and short shoe. Seemed to have good construction, but can’t really tell for sure with 60 seconds wear time. Was so much narrower than my Clarks, Nunn Bush, and Keen.. even narrower than Born.

I buy new waterproof hiking shoes about every three months for work. I do pool service in south Florida so my feet are exposed to wet grass, splashing from pools, and the hose when I clean filters. after week one I have grown to like these shoes. not the most comfortable out of the box, not a lot of arch support and stiff. I like the stiffness, my feet are not fatigued after a whole day on them, completely dry after a whole day, and for the price one of the more comfortable shoes I have worn. I have spent $50 and I have bought Patigonia for $200. these shoes are as good as as the $200 shoes for what I need them for.

The shoe is very well made. For me it ran a half size small. The toe box seemed tight. So I ordered the next half size up. Still waiting on the exchange. It has been a few weeks. LLBean said they are running behind.

Best all purpose shoe since my work boots I've owned. Second pair purchased after roughly five years. Maybe last, rhey were on clearance and retailer mentioned them being discontinued.

I have owned four successive pairs of these shoes and wear them throughout the year--summer, fall, winter, and spring--for daily walks and hikes. They are solid, stable, provide good grip on slick surfaces, are reasonably water repellant (not waterproof), and help keep my plantar fasciitis at bay. I was quite disappointed to learn that LL Bean will no longer offer these shoes--according to a sales person I spoke with via phone, they are being phased out.
(Side note for anyone purchasing the remaining sizes available: I have a D-width foot and find the extra-wide version most comfortable.)

This was my 3rd pair of these hiking shoes. I walk 3 to 4 miles a day and I typically get ~ 2 years of wear per pair. Great fit right out of the box, easy to break in, keep my feet dry and warm in all weather.

I wear size 12 1/2 shoes and the 13s were a little wide but with non-thin socks they were fine.
I can wear them all day either on the trail or in town and am always comfortable.

Wr purchased a pair of these hiking shoes for ny husband's hiking buddy 's birthday .
Upon opening his birthday box , he was so delighted that he kept them on and even wore them to work next day as they were so comfortable ! A big hit !
We ordered a replacement pair for my husband as his older pair wad relegated to yard duty !
