Gave it 4 stars do to a good firm soul. Fit and finish is solid, just don't love the style. The front of the shoe and or top side lacks any real style. Monetary wise it seems a reasonable value.

Should be a5star great fit comfortable out of the box but laces slip won't stay tied

My second pair of these. I've worn these for two days and today the laces are being replaced with something other than the lousy, but pretty, nylon junk. They will NOT stay tied. First pair were the same way. i will try next pair on in the store. These are about 1/2 size to large, but that varies. I will buy another pair, BUT.........

Good shoe. The right was tight and i had to stretch it out. They're becoming more comfortable as i wear them. I think this was a one off . I would buy again in the future.

Well built shoe. Heavier than I remember but very comfortable

I bought these for my husband for Christmas, and he loves them.

Fit and quality of shoe is excellent. Only complaint is that the laces come untied.

These are very well-made shoes. The wide size however still feels very snug so may need to return for next size up but otherwise happy with the purchase

Very well made shoe, tried to make them work. 9 was too short in the toe box. Rest great. 9.5 was loose but length ok

If you are used to a more flexible sole, this shoe may feel a bit stiffbut comfortable overall.

Ordered Wide and they are still too tight. They are great quality, just wish they were wider.

Good solid shoe for walking which is what I use it for. Have already had a pair and liked them.

The she was too small. I think my size had changed. Called customer service who recommended a re order of the proper size then send back the wrong size. This was done instead of the mor complicaed exchange. Bad part was that they charged me for thr shipping.

They are pretty good, although I was disappointed in the color, They don't really look like the catalog picture. I wanted that tan-brown look they're actually more green.

Received my pair today - Size 11, Wide. Some of the other reviews are accurate. They do run a bit small, in my case primarily in the length. Ordinarily that size is plenty big for me, but in this case not so much. (I'm not used to feeling my toes hit the front of the shoe.) But the plan is to keep them and hopefully break them in. Otherwise they seem very well constructed, and the price is more than fair. I like the dark brown leather, and the sparing use of light blue stitching, which is a nice aesthetic choice. But as a lover of leather, the broad expanse of fairly shiny nylon at the front of the shoe is a bit disappointing. This is a quibble that won't be shared by many, and I know there are sound reasons for that nylon being there. Nonetheless, I just can't help being me. I would suggest doing what I failed to do, and order 1/2 size larger. Again, a well made product.

These seem good, but did not fit. I was trying a men's 9, because, LL Bean, for some reason does NOT stock women's 10.5!!!!

good sturdy shoe. very comfortable. not as light in weight as some.

This is my second pair of Trail Model Hikers so I guess that is a good testimony. I am still using mu original pair for driving to work, but I wanted a new pair for everyday wear. I did go up one half size as I felt the original pair fit more snugly that other LLBean hikers of the same size. Otherwise, I have been pleased with the comfort and performance of these hiking shoes.

For the most part, a very comfortable shoe. However, I originally ordered a medium width, my standard. They were delivered, and turned out to be too narrow, so I exchanged them for a wide width, no problem. These fit much better, although a bunion on my left foot is problematic, and becomes irritated after about an hour of wearing. I hope this breaks in and stretches to form over time as I do like the shoes.

A great looking shoe, but my husband often wears an 11.5. The 12 was really too short. So we are ordering another pair in a 13, hoping this will be the right size. He also needed a wider size than usual.

A different fit than the previous pair of the "same" product. I had to return the first pair and try again at the next size larger, even though both pair were made in the same country. Otherwise, they are fine, otherwise I wouldn't have gone back for a repeat order.
