Not a quality stuff

My current North Face coat is a medium and fits very well. The Metropolis runs very small and you will need to size up at least 1 size to not feel like a busted can of biscuits. Nice weight - shoulders, arms, and length are perfect but middle is super tight.

This coat is not true to size. Bought online and Company would not exchange for different size at sale price I had bought it at. Only would if had used a discount code. What's the difference? Their loss. I returned for refund.

I wanted to love it. I hated the cinched waist, that does not work with winter clothes underneath! What were you thinking TNF? Back it went!

I read the reviews about the top being tight. I'm a Medium in normal North Face jackets, so I ordered this in a Large, but the top was still too tight and the bottom was too big. Very strange cut!

Poor quality, not enough down fill even flat in many areas. Weird elastic around wrists. Unflattering seam on stomach. The changes TNF has made to this parka are very bad and disappointing. I have the same parka from 7 years ago and it's much better than this coat.

Feathers are coming out

I live in New England and try to walk long distances in all weather. This jacket is crap. The hood comes off if you attempt to use it. It is an absolute deal breaker. It's too late to return, butlesson learned!

This is puffy in an unflattering way, making me feel gigantic. I think it’s because the pockets for the stuffing are very wide, so it camouflaged and filled in my natural curves. I returned this coat for a thinner, yet still warm, puffer with thinner ridges/pockets for the stuffing. It’s more flattering because it’s able to still show the curve in my waist

Love the fit and look of this jacket. Very warm, however, would not recommend. After 1-2 wears, I noticed the down feathers falling out in multiple places of the jacket. Would probably return if possible.

Not recommended , it has recycled or re-used feather and they stink even if your jacket with light rain for 10 seconds. Not recommended.

I really wish that The North Face hadn't stopped making the Metropolis Parka in a regular fit. Who wants to have a slim fit when they are wearing thicker clothes for winter time. Disappointed to say the least and not going to be able to keep i.

So i ordered from Zappos to avoid Amazon. Guess who fulfilled the order and delivered the wrong style coat that smelled like perfume?

I have another North Face coat in large & have enough room for a heavy sweater. I ordered this Parka in Large it's so small I can hardly get it on. Maybe it's miss marked?!

I think North Face is cutting corners in production. I tried this coat on in a country store that carries older products and it was great, so I ordered it from their website. The coat that showed up was not nearly as insulated and had strings hanging off all the seams. I've never seen anything like this- terrible. I returned it immediately and went at got the one I tried on originally- for $100 cheaper!!!

I bought this product as a replacement for north face parka that I had for 10 years. I am so disappointed with the quality and sizing of this product. It is way too small and the detachable hood comes off way too easily

I liked the fit of the jacket but for the price I'm not happy with my purchase. I cannot wear it with a dark sweater because it looses so many feathers

i liked it thats why i bought it. after i wore one time there is so many white things coming off from the jacket.

Received this as a gift, and sadly I hate it. The snaps that attach the hood to the jacket are so cheap and flimsy that every time I pull the hood up it unsnaps and falls off. Moreover, for the price point, this jacket is lacking thoughtful touches such as fleece lined pockets or cuffs. It really just feels like I'm wearing a bunch of plastic.

very disappointed always been a fan of North Face but after spending over 300 on a coat that all the branding is coming off is a huge let down

Poor design on the hood. It always rips off. The colour doesn't look like a true black. I was so excited to buy this jacket and I never wear it because of the hood. Much better options out there for this price point!

I was really sad I bought this full price. My zipper gets stuck a lot and sometimes I have a hard time pulling it up in general. I have a had to brave the cold with my jacket open because my zipper wouldn't zip up. The hood consistently snaps off because of the cheap plastic snaps. This jacket isn't also very warm. The only thing it has is it's kind that of stylish. I would not recommend and this has given me a bad image of northface as a whole.

This metropolis coat is NOT warm enough for NYC winter. The feathers are coming out and I'm only 3 months in. The worst part is that it gathers water stains if you walk in the rain for a short amount of time. Yes, it's light weight but this disappointing product is more for a Southern California "Winter".

Cheap, plastic zippers and snaps on the hoods. Not warm, weird fit. Zero customer service. Will never buy a north face product again.
