This is a great jacket for weight as its lighter than the Arctic. However, the design this year is not a good fit. The top of the coat is WAY too small for the body. I am always a small or xs in North Face and even the medium in this coat in the shoulder is small and then the bottom is huge. The Metropolis II was a much better design and sizing the same as other North Face jackets.

Hood buttons are WEAK. The hood detaches if you even look at it wrong. The zippers on the pockets are so tiny, impossible to zip them up if wearing gloves

This jacket is warm, but the hood always falls off! It is a snap closure w/ zero reinforcements! It fell off when I took it off the hanger, hung it up, and tried to put it up. Poor design!

I use this jacket almost everyday walking to class in New England. It is so warm and i love the jacket but I can not express enough how annoying the hood is. The buttons come un-done at the slightest tug. I need it to protect myself from the snow, but if I put my head to far down the hood buttons become un-done and snow is getting into my back. A zipper or maybe stronger buttons would be nice because I have almost lost my hood multiple times now.

Wanted to keep because loved the coat but hood was always falling off, snaps are cheap plastic .,,poor choice in design !!

This is an ok jacket. I had higher expectations but probably should have listened to the reviews before buying. There are tiny white feathers that come out of the jacket all over. It's even causing a hole to appear because of the feathers coming out. Would not buy again.

The coat is fairly warm but that hood detaches way too easily ! It fell off and someone had to bring it to me as I was walking . I could easily have lost it

Goose down fill comes out after a few weeks of purchasing it and the hood detaches VERY easily (wish it was sturdy to match the quality of the jacket.

Good length, very warm and good price. Hood doesn't stay on though.

This is my second Metropolis parka. The first one from a few years ago. What a disappointment on my second one because hood has plastic snaps that constantly unsnap! Happened before I even wore it! My first parka did not have snaps it was sewn and part of parka. The hood is so toasty and warm so if you truly looking for a 550 fill you need the hood. Shame on you North Face for using such inferior snaps.

I really like this jacket BUT the buttons on the hood are flimsy and weak. The other reviews were correct about how easily the hood can snap off. After putting the jacket on, I reached back to try to put the hood over my head and immediately four buttons unsnapped. I can use a jacket with a hood that can unsnap into an instant so I'm returning this. I hope they improve the buttons on the hood because the jacket itself is lightweight and warm.

The jacket was great quality .. but I didn't like the fit. The seam at the waist line made the bottom half of the jacket very unflattering (on my body anyways)

I've owned this jacket in previous years unfortunately this year the hood snaps are defective and the hood detaches extremely easy and is very bothersome. I am going to return it. I would not recommend this jacket until they get the hood issue figured out. So bummed!

This coat is warm, but the hood comes off every two seconds and is not worth the money.

The first thing I noticed out of the box were loose thread in the pockets. The zipper are small and plastic, and keep getting snagged on the coat when I zip. It's also not as flattering as I had hoped and the hood is ridiculously large. I took it right off. Disappointing.

At first I was very excited about the jacket's design. But by the 2nd wear, feathers were coming out. Now there is down coming out all over the jacket and I've only had it for 3 weeks! Very disappointed in the quality.

The coat is cute and true to size. Really warm BUT the FEATHERS started to come out from everywhere and I've only had the coat for three days so far. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

So this is my very first TNF jacket in my life, I was so excited to give this a try, the price is no joke so the quality needs to be really good and not cheaply made! I love the way how it looks, very simple and elegant at the same time! But after wearing it a few times, the feathers are coming off all over the jacket! Comparing to my older jackets that has no brands, they don't shed at all. I really wish I can return this even I worn it already. Very disappointed.

I really love north face products I was not so impressed with this jacket the hood snaps off so easy even while wearing it, I have a lot of white fuzz coming out all over the jacket.

Cheaply designed snaps make the hood pop off every time I take off my shoulder bag. Zipper always gets caught. Not worth the price.

Bought this jacket in the color tnf black. Thought it was going to be a dark color but It's more of a gray. The jacket is warm but the hood is bad. It has cheep plastic click on buttons so the hood unclips by putting the jacket hood on a hook. Wish I could return it Bc it's not worth the price.

I've owned metro coats for years and have always just replaced with anotber metro when they get worn out. This updated version is a completely different coat and a huge disappointment. Cut and sizing is awful with the top being sized signifantly smaller than the bottom. Cinched waist looks terrible, not sleek like the cut on the older ones. Logo on older versions was on the front and back and stitched. This version just has a cheap iron-on on the front that will surely peel off. Just a terrible downgrade, this is a cheap looking and feeling coat that's as uncomfortable as it is unflattering.

I usually like North Face clothing, but this was quite ill-fitting. I ordered it online because it was sold out in my local store, so I wasn't able to try it on before buying. It has an elastic band in the back which should give it a cute feminine silhouette, but instead makes one's hips look comically out of proportion. Also, the color isn't quite white, and when it folds or overlaps it looks dirty, make-up stains on the collar, but it was still sealed in plastic. Returned.

Ordered online. Didn't like the fit. Took to store to return. They said I had a 2018 model and could not return it. How did Northface send me a 2018 model!?!? Do not buy. They will send 8 yr old coat!
