It didn't fit my body type well.

I bought this jacket for work. Just not happy with the appearance for a North Face

Would be ok if you kept the hood off, otherwise very inconvenient to have your hood snapped off frequently

I bought this for my girlfriend because she has this same coat from 6 years ago (the 550). She absolutely loves her old coat but it has gotten worn down so I wanted to give her a new one. The quality isn't as good and she just doesn't like it as much. We returned it and she's back to wearing her old coat.

Fit weird on me with the pronounced waist cinching. Could tell it would be nice and warm, maybe it would look nice on someone else's body type . I returned

While this coat is warm and fits well, there are a couple disappointing issues with it. The hood is attached by super cheap tiny dome buttons, and comes detached at the slightest pull. Forget wearing a cross body bag, or pulling the hood up over your hat. The whole thing comes undone which is utterly pointless in a winter jacket. Also, the zips on the side pockets are TINY. It's impossible to unzip the pockets without removing gloves or mitts - again, utterly pointless in a winter jacket. I have other jackets/coats/pants from North Face that I love, but for the price of this I was really disappointed and would not recommend or buy again.

Quality is subpar to previous version my daughter had on this parka. Fit us now unflattering. Logo ironed on, not stitched on a $300 coat cheapens the look even further. Gave it to her for Christmas and she was very disappointed. She loved her old version of this and wanted to replace it. Unfortunately, now I will be returning this, we wish we weren't.

I really love the style the jacket but the hood is a poor design it snaps off way to easily taking off my purse rips it off and also if I pull it over my head the center snaps off.

For the price, I expected more. The logo (front and back) is like an iron on and it is very faint. Would have hoped for a better lining. Pockets are cold inside, would have been nice to have fleece lining and pockets aren't big enough. Hood looks weird when on- cone shaped. Inside there is only one small zip pocket. Not impressed

All wrong, from the Quality, to cheap snaps in the hood. I have a hard time trying to zip up the pockets as, the zipper part is almost not even there, it's weird. Just buy something else.

I was small in the shoulders and bust area. I would have liked to just exchange for a bigger size but the process is NOT easy. You must first return then re- purchase instead of just exchange. I really liked the coat but not the fit. I did not repurchase but would have if I could have just exchanged.

I have never regretted a purchase more in my life. If you want a functional hood, skip past this jacket. I look at the snaps wrong and they unfasten. I literally can't even hang it by the hood because it unsnaps. After a week of wear, so much down is leaking out that I need to bring a lint brush with me. Seriously, down everywhere. The North Face customer service has been less than helpful. I wish I would have read the reviews first (I bought in-store). Looks like there are LOTS of similar stories with this jacket. Shame on NF for selling a product with known issues.

Sizing is small. Buy a size larger. Zipper was hard to use and immediately got stuck. Returned. Beware, returns take weeks to get to its destination.

I fell in love when I saw this jacket and then I was really let down when I got it. I purchased the XXL which is a little bigger than I normally wear, but I wanted to be able to layer underneath. The arms were too tight just wearing a light tee shirt and I saw that on other reviews as well after the fact.

I used this product for two months and the stitching came undone. The feathers come out also.

Disappointed on the hood it kept on popping out

This jacket is lightweight and very warm. The biggest flaw is the hood and how it's attached. If it was just sewn in it would be 100% better. I would recommend this to a friend if they fix the hood. It just makes it frustrating to deal with the hood every signal time you're using it. If they fix the hood it would be a five-star review for sure if .

As a New Englander, I've lived in The North Face products for years. The quality has always been top notch, so when I needed a new winter coat, I knew where to turn. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in this coat. First, the "detachable" hood is terrible. It snaps on with a few buttons, so every time you pick up the coat by the hood, it comes off. It comes undone way too often. Next, this coat is not winter-proof at all. Will it keep you warm running errands? Sure. Will it keep you warm and dry when outside for an hour? Absolutely not. This coat is not waterproofrain or snow, you will get drenched. If it rains or snows while wearing this coat, my layers underneath end up sopping wet. Certainly not worth that huge price tag for such terrible quality.

This is a great jacket for weight as its lighter than the Arctic. However, the design this year is not a good fit. The top of the coat is WAY too small for the body. I am always a small or xs in North Face and even the medium in this coat in the shoulder is small and then the bottom is huge. The Metropolis II was a much better design and sizing the same as other North Face jackets.

Hood buttons are WEAK. The hood detaches if you even look at it wrong. The zippers on the pockets are so tiny, impossible to zip them up if wearing gloves

This jacket is warm, but the hood always falls off! It is a snap closure w/ zero reinforcements! It fell off when I took it off the hanger, hung it up, and tried to put it up. Poor design!

I use this jacket almost everyday walking to class in New England. It is so warm and i love the jacket but I can not express enough how annoying the hood is. The buttons come un-done at the slightest tug. I need it to protect myself from the snow, but if I put my head to far down the hood buttons become un-done and snow is getting into my back. A zipper or maybe stronger buttons would be nice because I have almost lost my hood multiple times now.

Wanted to keep because loved the coat but hood was always falling off, snaps are cheap plastic .,,poor choice in design !!

This is an ok jacket. I had higher expectations but probably should have listened to the reviews before buying. There are tiny white feathers that come out of the jacket all over. It's even causing a hole to appear because of the feathers coming out. Would not buy again.
