I love the jacket , light weight and very comfortable to wear . I only wear 2 times and out of nowhere the back ripped about 2 inch without any yank or pulled, I'm so disappointed and I realize the fabric is Super thin , my last metropolis last me 5 yrs and still in good condition . Luckily I was able to send it back and I ordered the parka instead .

This was such a wonderful coat until I really used it everyday. The hood constantly comes off due to the weak buttons. The hood comes off when people take my coat to hang, it comes off when I get into my car, it comes off when I try to put the hood on, the situations seem to add the more I use this coat. I might just permanently remove the hood and start wearing a hat to keep warm. Quite disappointing.

I was pleased that North Face was still offering a puffer coat in February but the fit just didn't work for me.

I am not quite sure how this jacket looks normal on the model, but in real life this coat is NOT flattering at all. The waist is not tight but in the attempt to look "fitted" or "cinched," there is a weird line across the waist area that subsequently makes you look like a blown out pear. Got the medium ~140 lbs. In other aspects it fit fine, but did not look good at all.

Comfy coat, however I have feathers coming out all over the coat. I'm not sure if I just got a defective coat, but normally all of my Northface items are great quality. This is super disappointing considering the cost.

I have a north face 600 for 7 yrs and I love it! This is not the same quality I expect from North face. The tight waist band is horrible and it's not as warm either! I have other north face jackets for the spring as well.

The quality of this coat is fantastic , I bought this for my daughter, we had to return because the fitted waist was a bit strange. She didn't like the teacup look. Why would they ruin a perfect coat.

I am 5'3" and 120 pounds, size 0-2 and small or extra small. Purchased this in a small. Tried it on and felt a little snug across my chest so decided to try it on with my bulkiest sweater. Felt like a stuffed sausage. Way too tight in the chest (size 34 B cup) Going back.

Weird Hood. Pointed and somes down past my nose.

I'm typically a size extra small with most clothing, but this jacket was way too tight. The hood is also comically pointy however, I did not find that the hood snaps off easily like most of the reviewers here mentioned. Perhaps they've fixed it? I did like that it accentuated my curves however I would prefer a more boxy look. I'm 120 lbs and 5ft for reference and lean in build

My regular NorthFace size, XS felt tight in the back. Returning the coat.

This parka puffs out to the sides hugely at the hips, almost like a bustle. The back puffs out too. The hood is comically conical. My family literally laughed when they saw me in this.

I am supper bummed about this jacket, it is so light and barely keeps me warm I would not have gotten a jacket that's like a sleeping bag if I don't want to be warm, what a waste of money. And the return policy only last 30 days. probably my last north face jacket.

Losing lots of feathers right from the start. It’s just too expensive of a coat for this to be so much of an issue. Sometimes the feathers poke out on the side and are pretty irritating. Bummer.

I bought this parka in the shop , I did like the way it looks, but how could I predict that it will be so bad for everyday life ,fears are coming out non stop which makes the parka really cold .

The quality of this jacket is pitiful. I've only had it for a month or so and the sleeve is already starting to separate from the jacket. Feathers also constantly come out between the seams.

Had to return and try a different style

The hood comes off too easily, every time I pull my purse from around my body. My feathers are also sticking out all over the coat. Though, it is very warm.

I am not as happy with this coat as my previous jacket

Got this coat and was so excited but the arms were SO tight and the rest of the coat was super baggy. I'm a pear shape and wear an XL in clothes. Got the XXL coat. I had to return.

Love the style and very warm! Unfortunately, after only two wears/zero washes the down feathers are starting to fall out in multiple places so unsure if it'll be good long term.

The Metropolis parka used to fit well. This would have been my fourth one. Now, fit is changed and is extremely tight and uncomfortable. I am a S/M generally. In this parka, now called slim fit, the M is tight. Not sure if L would even work if wearing a sweater.

I like the coat, but the hood coming off so easily is very, very annoying. I would not have purchased if I knew how easily it popped off.
