The WIDE version I bought did not seem wide enough. Still a little tight side-to-side. Other than that, an excellent and comfortable shoe with lots of trail grip. Very pleased. It will loosen as I use it more so no worries, but the tougher the shoe, the longer it takes to widen. This is a pretty tough shoe in the front area.

Nice shoes but all Brooks are now a whole size BIGGER than where ever they were previously made.

great shoe, a little stiff but should be running on uneven ground.

Bought the wide, hoping it would provide more splay for my foot. But I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the wide and the standard width.
These are no longer comfortable for hiking or back packing.
Used older models on the PCT (5 pairs) and was happy with how long they held up and supported me. But this current model is just not wide enough for me to want to purchase again.
Size 14/15 - 6'7" - 240lbs - used mainly for back packing.

Love the Nooksack edition. The toe box is a little narrow for my liking, but other than that they are a great fit and a great ride.

Great all around trail shoe. On my 3rd pair. Stable and comfortable. Good for longer distances and "power hiking" for hours. The mesh is wearing out quicker than it should where the forefoot bends, but the rest of the shoe is rock solid.

These trail runners are really some of the best I have tried. I am a neutral gate and the rise is perfect for me. I have hiked over 600 miles in the Cascadia 16’s and they are really comfortable. The only reason I would not give the shoe 5 stars is that the heels wear out (interior). I have found this with my Brooks running sneakers too after about 200 miles. The inner liner material starts to break down and exposes the foam backing. I usually have to replace them because of this after about 400 miles, but honestly worth it for the traction and comfort.

My favorite trail shoe. Very firm and stable, however you'd get 5 stars if there was slightly more cushion.

Brooks fits my foot better than any other. I'm 6'4, 190lbs and wear a size 15M. Due to my freakish foot size it is hard to find a good trail runner/hiking shoe. I prefer a trail/hiking shoe to any hiking boot. I hope someday Brooks will create a stellar true hiking shoe but for now the Cascadia 16 works well. I've had it for a few weeks and the fit, comfort and traction seem so much better. I am unsure of the durability since I've only been wearing them a short while. I had the previous Cascadia 14 and used it primarily for hiking but it was dangerously slippery on anything wet (rocks and trails in Southern Bavaria). This is showing a lot of improvement. Keep on making it better Brooks!

I am actually using these shoes for golf! Great traction with a solid feeling base. Like how the shoe hugs the entire foot. I'm sure they would be great for trail running.
Only reasons so far for not giving the shoe 5 stars is they are a pain to put on.
Also like almost all tennis shoes these days no one makes them with real shoelace eyelet holes. Old school tennees used round plastic or metal eyelet holes so the laces could be tightened at 1 or 2 points. Instead now it's really a time consuming struggle. Only had a chance to wear them 1 time so as far as durability is concerned that's for another time.

Very nice shoe. Very comfortable. Maybe could be just a bit wider.

Positives are a fantastic fit in the heel and toebox, nice esthetics and very grippy lugs. Negatives are that it still has an 8mm drop (please get it into the 4-6mm to help diminish the joint impact), needs a rocker in the heel to decrease the heel impact and the shoe needs to be softer for long and very long days. Get the negatives fixed and this could be the perfect shoe.

Super trail shoes with great traction and fantastic upper for the elements. I only wear on the trails. Not on the roads or gym because it has an aggressive sole. Fit is true to size. Have recommended to many others.

The shoes feel great on the bottom of my feet. I have had multiple foot surgeries and these are comfortable except the laces come up a bit too high on my ankle. Great foot protection, very good traction, very good price. I have a wide foot, the EE is good!

Favorite trail runner will always be True Grit...any version. Would love it if Brooks brought the True series back....particularly True Cadence. Nonetheless, the New Cascadia is comfortable and does the job.

I love Brooks Ghost and was looking for a good trail hiking shoe and naturally thought I'd try the Cascadia. When I tried them on they felt too narrow across the arch of my foot so I had to return them.
