I really like the Borealis bookbag. It makes me feel confident in placing my laptop inside it. There are plenty of different sizes pockets and compartments for all your storage needs. I certainly could see myself using this for a long weekend, as well as for class and hikes.

Wish it was bigger and it is a little too heavy. I wish it was a little better since the price was quite high but I am satisfied nonetheless

It's a good bag seems quite durable so far and has a lot of pocket spaces but it is a bit top heavy. Just wish it was a bit cheaper

Amazing, and the patches are an added bonus. This Borealis is replacing my one from 10 years ago which is still amazing, but lacking these new functionality features. 5 stars if it stood upright.

I'm disappointed. My high school aged daughter picked this out and paid for it with her Christmas money. After using it for 2 weeks, one of the straps has started to tear. Yes, she carries a heavy load, but I expected this to be sturdier.

There's some changes to the new Borealis that I don't care for. The new plastic zipper attachments seem cheaper than the previous metal ones. The pockets for water bottles are also smaller and don't secure them in place. My biggest concern for the new style is the fabric that attaches the straps at the top of the backpack. Although it seems thick I'm concerned it has a better chance of ripping over the previous models style. Things I do like: the ability to stand the backpack up with the new zipper feature on the bottom, hidden top pocket, bungee front straps for additional storage. Overall I still love the backpack but I hope to see some of the previous features included on the next one.

really nice bag overall, great build quality. It has room for a ton of stuff and cinches up so that things don't jostle around if you don't have much in the bag. My only complaint is that it does not stand up straight when you sit on the ground, it has to be leaning on some thing or else it tipped over. would buy again.

This is a darn near perfect backpack for me. The pockets are exactly what I wanted - the top access to the small items, the sunglass and similar items in the cloth-lined pocket, the laptop compartment with its padded protection, and the main compartment that is expandable via the outer harnesses. Not to mention the water bottle pockets that fit bigger bottles that are now standard. I was even able to get the color scheme I desired! Couple other things would've made it perfect, but it is minor compared to the positives and is subjective so I won't mention. I look forward to using it for years to come!

The smaller pockets are shallow. When you put items in there, they make the back pack look and feel too heavy. Otherwise this is a fantastic backpack. It can hold lots of items.

Wanted to use it as my daily commuter but the shoulder straps cut into my shoulders. So I sent it back. Love the style though.

I use it for school right now, but wish the side drink pockets were bigger and clips on the sides.

This backpack has a lot of useful features. You feel that your laptop is safe. Also, it feels really premium. I bought for college. Majoring in CS.

I like the style. And organization available inside with all the pockets. The drink pockets are nice and snug but I wish it were a couple inches deeper to allow for bigger bottles

Great backpack! Very spacious and durable. Only thing is that the water bottle pockets are shallow(feels like bottle can fall out).

I use this backpack for school. After school I have running practice and the bungee cord on the outside works great for bringing my sneakers. I only wish the laptop compartment were a bit bigger to also fit some folders and notebooks. I like the smaller compartments to organize my stuff.

This backpack seems to be well made and should last a while. The front top and bottom clips are convenient to better distribute the weight of the bag. I do not particularly like how there is not a front pouch that extends down to the bottom of the bag. It feels disproportionate when the top front pockets are loaded and stick out beyond the bottom front face of the bag. Otherwise a solid backpack.

Very solid product with tons of pockets. I only wish that the side pockets for the water bottles were a little deeper. As it is, bottles come out unless they are really strapped in.

It's a very nice and high quality backpack. It's a bit uncomfortable at first but is great for any use.

Great look. Lots of space. Only issue is that the straps unravel a bit.

Use it for school and does the job well. I always get north face for gear as it's always great quality. I have a recon backpack that I used to use for school but now use for biking. Really love that backpack, would've gotten another one but they refreshed it and I don't like how it looks now. I picked this one up instead. Great backpack. My only disliking are the zippers which are of string instead of the metal of the recon. I guess time will tell how long these zippers will last.
