The backpack feels sturdy; I also like the quality of the zippers. I think what I dislike is the organization of some of the pockets. But I have to get used to it.

Purchased this for my son who will be starting his master degree In Alaska. Fit all his needs . He did commit on a bit of a redesign since his last Borealis backpack. - all for the best ! He is enjoying the backpack not only for school but everyday use .

I use my backpack for carrying my laptop back and forth to work. The laptop is large and easily fits inside, along with paperwork, notebook, pens and most importantly my water bottle. The straps hanging down are a little bothersome but this is by far my favorite backpack.

I've had this backpack for a few months now, and I've been impressed. It holds everything I need - my car keys, wallet, chap stick, earbuds, 2 changes of clothes, my portable toiletry bag and my water bottle. The straps and back padding are very comfortable, the best I've ever used on a backpack. As far as the durability goes, I did a lot of research before buying this backpack and saw plenty of reviews mentioning it breaking or wearing out after 6 months or so, but so far it's held up for me, so we will see. However, I have a few observations and complaints. Number one, it doesn't stand up completely straight with stuff in it. It tends to be heavier on the top half of the backpack and looks oddly bulky, which seems to be a bit of a design flaw. I haven't even used the bungee system it has in the front, but it is a bit of a weird look and I'm not a big fan of the water bottle holders on the sides of the backpack. The bungee tightening for them doesn't seem to be the best. I normally store my hydro flask inside the main compartment of the backpack. I give it a 4/5 for its room and overall design, and it seems to be a durable bag. Hoping it lasts me for the next 10 years or so after normal wear and use.

My daughter used this backpack for a 8th grade trip to D.C.
Great quality and lots of room for all her stuff. Straps are really comfortable!

This backpack lasted my son 2 months for school before the strap broke. Then the warranty is to send it back and wait 6-8 weeks to see if they might repair it.

Sturdy material and very nice color (blue). The logo definitely could be smaller. Lot of straps to keep it close.

Use it for school, decent size, just dont like how it doest stand up and how much weight the slots hold (in terms of it leaning forward). But overall, I enjoy the color, size, shape, feel.

Bought this for my daughter for senior year in college. It's not only beautiful but extremely well made and durable. I have a Highschool daughter as well who bought the same one for tenth grade and it still is in great shape! Very pleased with this purchase. Will definitely be purchasing again!!

Excellent pack. Great quality. I would give it a perfect five star rating if it had a little more organization in one of the sections.

Great Backpack for Air Travel! I find the Backpack Is good quality ! I broke it in on my Skiing trip to Tahoe City. There are lots of useful pockets that are actually functional. I couldn't believe how much stuff it could hold and easy stowing in overhead Bin. ! I plan to buy a couple more

I love the style and comfort of this backpack. Great for travel, work, hiking, etc. It holds a lot more than it seems. My one complaint is the semi-firm back is too large and is somewhat awkward. I wish it was shaped differently and removeable. But otherwise, great backpack.

Well made, comfortable, colorful backpack, that I filled with some hiking essentials for Iceland. Perfect zippered sections for chargers, headlamp, layers of clothes, sneakers, snacks, and other personal items. Fit water bottles in each side pockets. Wish the backpack came with a cover but it did bring me good luck seeing the Aurora Borealis in Iceland:)

Not as durable as the previous model bought 5 years ago. Not the best quality. I use it every day for school. The third pouch in the front is smaller than previous design. Hard to fit a lunchbox so I actually returned it. The first pouch is fine for computer, the second pouch is good for notebooks and the third pouch held my lunchbox in the older model. New model doesn't have a large pouch extending down to bottom so I cannot fit my lunchbox. It is only a half pouch which is very disappointing and the reason why I am returning this backpack.

This is my daily carry bag. Large enough to carry all my items as well as a good sized day pack. Very durable and easy to access. Still small enough to not be a cumbersome item tagging along all day.

Using as backpack for work; large, space for my computer, sturdy materials, well made, nice color that won't show the dirt of everyday use. North Face products are known for their durability; I finally had to retire one I had in high school (over 20 yrs of continuous use), so purchasing another that I expect will last another 20 years!

Use for school. Old one may have been more durable but the water bottle pockets ripped so I had to get it replaced by North Face which was a month long fiasco.

I purchased the Borealis Backpack for daily use going to and from work. For years, I carried a tote bag for my wallet, umbrella, gym clothes, iPad and accessories, a separate lunch tote, and a plastic grocery bag for a change of shoes. - my hands were FULL and I was constantly annoyed!
My new Borealis allows me to organize all of my personal affects, electronics, gym clothes, shoes, and a place for lunch and water bottles that won't fall over. I sling it over my shoulder and VOILA- my HANDS ARE FREE!
Good riddance to all of those separate bags. Hello to my ONE and ONLY Borealis!
