I remembered wearing these boots for everything while growing up, calling them simply "bean boots." As an adult, I wanted a versatile boot that I could wear in rain, snow, and any combination of inclement weather for a variety of purposes -- I had to look no further than a trip down memory lane. They are everything I remembered and more, and do the work of 3 different pairs of footwear combined. They are a bit "big" for size, which is perfect for wearing them with a pair of wool socks for extra warmth when needed. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

I have always wanted a pair of these ,but living in florida, I had no use for them. We are going north ,for Christmas , and I finally got my wish. They fit very well as long as you get them 1 size smaller. I have decided I will use them in my garden in December thru April, the bottoms are rubber to keep out the wet. Altogether , a great product.

My first pair of boots are 10' Main Hunting Boots which I use in the winter, still in good shape. My new 6" boots I"ll wear outside in wet weather when I don't need the 10". SO FAR, OUTSTANDING COMFORT, just like the 10". If I can get a good fit, I'll buy the lower boots for cutting grass next spring. I seem to have a lower ankle bone than normal and most low cut footwear rub the bone uncomfortably.

I've had mine about 20 years, have held up real well. Can't believe I haven't worn off the soles. Some stitching came loose at the back of one boot, so I need to send them back for repair. Only problem is I can't go without them for a couple weeks. Might just have to fix them myself, though they told me they would fix them for about $16, which is a deal.

I've only just got these boots so can't speak to durability but they look and feel great. Solid, well put together, and very comfortable to wear. Can't wait to test them properly once colder, wetter weather arrives. Be aware that they run very large both in length and breadth: I bought the size down and still have plenty of room for my toes and around my ankle. Definitely a two-pair-of-socks boot.

I originally did not heed all of the warnings to order a size down and had to make an exchange. The process was very simple and the operator was extremely helpful. Once I got the right pair I jumped right into them and trudged out in the Northwest rain. The boots are so lightweight and comfortable I want to wear them all the time. Thanks for making a great product!

Excellent buy for rainy conditions. I could not be more satisfied with this purchase. The shoes are more comfortable than I had imagined. Two thumbs up!

I received these boots (which I paid for) as a gift from my wife for my birthday, which isn't until November. [Read: I just wanted them now and the weather was getting bad.]
They've been everything I expected. I did order a size and a half down since I wear a 10.5 and the 9's fit perfectly. You'd think they would just change the sizing so that they run true to size, but I guess it's traditional.
The 6" boot was high enough for me, it just about covers the entire ankle, but doesn't move up onto the shin, similar to a standard pair of steel toed boots.
Regardless, I would recommend this product to anyone who's looking for some solid waterproof boots that will be tall enough to handle some mud or snow.

Great boots for the soaking wet ground of this year. With an extra pair of wool socks they are very comfortable. I've been thinking of buying these boots for many years. This wet year pushed me over the edge and I am very happy to have them.

very well made. I picked the size based on the calalog reccomendation and they fit perfectly.
These are my second pair. The rubber cracked on the sole after 25 years on the first pair.

Just delivered! I was very concerned about the sizing. I am a 10 or 10.5 in all other shoes but the size 9 is perfect. They look and feel perfect.

This boot fit like it should. I had tried cheaper Knock offs that felt like a stiff box on my feet. Built in the USA says alot.

The craftsmanship of this boot is second to none. I have bought similar boots in the past and they have not even come close to the quality of the Bean Boot. I also love the fact that they are manufactured right here in the USA. These boots are great for doing yard work in and they'll be perfect for working on the farm when harvesting begins!

I love these! They are warm, so waterproof, and pretty stylish. There is no other good cold weather or rain boot that will be so durable and look pretty good at the same time.
Just like everyone says, order a size down. They run large.

I was skeptical in ordering the narrow width but Bean's description of how to order these boots was "spot on." They fit perfectly and I used them most of this weekend for turkey hunting. Even walking down a gravel road they were reasonably quiet. Comfortable too. I'm sold. My first pair but definitely not my last. Didn't get a turkey but can't blame that on my boots.

I tested these boots on a very rainy day. I'm working a temp job as a pool servicemen and getting wet is part of the job. I worked 10 hours in the rain and my body was soaked but my feet were dry. I got home a took of my boots and my feet were a little damp but it was because of sweat, not the rain. These are great boots and they fit perfectly the first day I got them. No need to break in these boots.

While these boot are sized bigger than normal, they are quality built and made in America. It makes me proud to know we still MAKE something in this country! I live in Minnesota and these are great for the spring when the ground is soft. They are short enough to slip on easily and tall enough to keep the water and mud out from yard work.

They were on back order but worth waiting for. Two other companies had similar boots in stock but both had bad reviews. Free shipping! Can't beat it. My son wears a 13 and we ordered a 12 and they are perfect. He did wish he had gotten the 8"rather than the 6" just for some extra support around this ankle, but he loves them. Wears them everyday to work to keep his feet dry. Expensive, so I hope they last.

Yes, like all reviews will tell you - this is a fabulous boot and a tradition for many. My husband has had a pair that spanned many years. Excellent value. My son just got his first pair and though the wait was very long (back order all winter), they are worth it, he's so happy with the look and feel of this boot. I ordered a FULL SIZE smaller since his socks are not so thick; reviews were right, the 10s fit his size 11 feet perfectly!

I wear a 13W shoe and bought the 12W boot. Fits well. The 13W would have been too large. The boot is comfortable as-is for spring use (mud, temps >40deg); however, you need a thick sock to be comfortable in the snow. I'm happy to be able to support a made in the USA product!

I love these multi-purpose waterproof boots! As an outdoor enthusiast and full time landscaper these boots really fit the bill. They are comfortable, sized perfect and American made! Can't wait for it to rain again so I can walk the dog and get the mail. Thanks LL Bean!

I love the Bean Boots. There are high quality and pretty comfortable. I am a woman but chose the men's size for its width.
