very well made boots. run on the large side but very comfortable. sole has better grip than I was expecting which is nice. haven't tested in the rain yet but I am sure they will keep my feet dry

Boots are great! Very durable and waterproof.. Make sure to get one full size down from normal though.

My first bean boots and they are awesome. A bit on sizing: I'm normally a 15 in tennis shoes (Nike) or dress shoes (cole hann/ sperry) and even wear a 16 in my Columbia hiking boots. Purchased a pair of 14 (largest they carry) bean boots and they were to big! So I returned for a size 13 and they fit great!

Bought these boots for my Husband and he loves them. The boots run a little big (he wears a 10.5, but the 10 fit perfectly). He really likes the fact that these don't have the lining because he can wear them when it's not too cold out (ie: Fall clean-up time) but then wear heavier socks in the winter when he wants the extra warmth. Great look, value, and performance -- a must buy.

As a lover of classic, American style, L.L. Bean is a staple in my wardrobe. Bean's clothes, from hunting shoes to chamois shirts, have become iconic in the American psyche and my pair of Bean boots are a purchase I will never regret making.

This is my 2nd pair of L.L. Bean Boots, 6". My first pair had its rubber bottoms repaired and were purchased more than twenty years ago.

I love my new boots. A couple days after i received them it started to rain and it continue for about 3 days and they work perfect. The fit and finish is really nice and made in America. One of my co-worker saw my boots and he like them, and he had been looking for a pair for awhile, after seeing mines, he decided to order a pair from you'll also.

To be fair, I have only had these boots for two weeks but so far I love them. As suggested I bought them one size small. The boots are still a little large but with a heavier pair of socks they work and feel great. The heavy socks also double as protection on the ankles as these 6" boots get broken in. I have worn them while working in the garden where the soil has been damp to wet and my feet stay dry. They have good grip while working in soil or grass. I'll write another review in 6 months after autumn and some winter use.

Run just a little big. Really comfortable and dry.

Although I have been a Bean shopper for forty years, this is my first pair of boots. They are ready to go right out of the box and if you follow the size instructions they should fit. Since I waited so long, according to the reviews, I will be nearly 100 when these wear out. They will probably outlast me. Am looking forward to many wet, sloppy days with them!

This was my first pair of LL Bean boots, but it certainly will not be my last. They are a multi-purpose boot that is stylish and adventurous. It is a classic. I received a handful of compliments. Definitely a great buy. The only thing that was tough was breaking them in. But it was worth it.

They recommended to go down a size and they fit perfect.

I wear a size 15 in a lot of other boots, but these 14Ds fit perfectly, very comfortable!

This is about the 7th pair of boots I have purchased --- 3rd for me. Good comfort and never leak -- even after years of wear.

This is my 3rd pair of L L Bean's 6" field boots. I really like them and have recommended them to others. I have noticed that the pull on strap is poorly glued inside the shoe. I have re-glued this on my last two pairs.

I am having to purchase a 2nd pair of these shoes after 30 years only because FedEx tore a hole in my box when I was shipping them across country with some other stuff and lost the right shoe. These shoes have lasted forever. I originally purchased them in college back in the 80's! (True story).

I finally wore out my first pair !!! If you are a sportsman or gardner and don't have a pair --- YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband wears a 9.5 and has a narrow foot. Initially I ordered a 9N but it was too snug so I exchanged them for a 10 in the medium width. The length is perfect and with thick socks the medium width will be fine. Both my sons wore these all during college in the rain, snow & ice walking on uneven old brick sidewalks and they loved that they kept their feet warm and dry.

Perfect fit. I wear 12.5 and bought 11wide. I live on the OR coast so it it not really cold enought to need a heavy sock. So, LL Bean is correct in their sizing advice. I NEVER, buy foot wear online because of poor fits. So this is a pleasant first.

Quite satisfactory for walking the dog in the morning through dew drenched grass. I should have ordered a pair of these years ago. BE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO SIZE GUIDELINES. BOOTS RUN LARGE!

Ideal for working around the yard and garden. The six inch boot feels great. Should have purchase it sooner.

These boots are great. They felt a little uncomfortable at first, but quickly molded to my feet, and served me well in a rainstorm.

I wore a hole in the sole of my first pair after 20 years of totallly satisfied wear. My first pair was the low-top model. These new ones are the 6" higher top model. I chose these because of the gusseted tongue. The fit is the same. Great stuff.

Although it took a while to get the correct size (three different pairs. It runs really large!!) my sons LOVE these shoes. They wear them all the time, to school, wherever. They ar ecomfortable and great year round except when Atlanta gets really hot. Thanks LL bean for helping me with returns, the final product is super!

I've worn these shoes for a long time. I love them. LL Bean is the best.
