It is mud season. There simply are not better boots than the original bean boots. Well made in Maine, good fit, long lasting.

Due to age and arthritis in my feet, I had to retire my 20-year old duck boots which still had not worn out. I replaced them with the same thing, next size up. LL Bean warns you about the size and they are correct. No surprises and fantastic quality. The only difference is the removable insole has been upgraded to an even better neoprene one (probably made my Spenco which is fantastic, also). I definitely recommend these boots! I've used these for shovelling snow and trips to the ski slopes in sub zero weather. Wear some thick ski or ragg knit socks and you're good to go. And they are still made in America!!!!!

I usually wear 10.5 or 11 (when shoes run a little small or when I need some space for my toes to wiggle) but size 9 of this was almost a perfect feat for me.

Being in the Nursery/Landscape Contracting business for 40 years
I've seen a lot of work related foot ware. Half the year you are slopping around in mud and wet ground. I finally (what was I waiting for?) ordered of LL Bean boots. Im a 10.5 and was advised to order a
9. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable I forget i'm wearing them
late into the evening. They fit snug without your foot slopping about inside them. LET IT RAIN!!!

These boots are great! They do run one size large, so be sure to size down. I've worn a 13 for years and I had to send the size 13 back and exchange for a 12. The 12 is plenty big and extremely comfortable.

We just recently moved to the pacific northwest so I needed a waterproof boot. My wife has ordered a lot of things from LL Bean so I decided to give them a try. I chose their old standby waterproof boots. The first pair did not fit quite right and LL bean was very cooperative in helping me select the right size and make the exchange. I am really happy with my 6 in Ll bean boots.

These boots have kept me dry and allowed me to blend into New England winter culture seamlessly. They're really comfortable to walk around in, and the grip is great on snow. The only thing of note is that the unlined version gets quite cold, so extra-thick socks are a must... I think the boots are sized a bit large to account for sock-girth. Since my feet have a tendency to get cold, I think I would go for the Thinsulate-lined ones next time, but in the meanwhile thermal socks are more than enough.

I'll delighted with the reliable service and comfort of my LL Bean 6" boots. I wear them nearly every work day year around and am well pleased with their performance. Equally important is the quick and efficient service I get from Bean when I place an order or have a question. Thanks LL. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic boots. Ordered a pair for both my husband and my son for Christmas and they love them. NOTE: These run a full size large, even with thick/boot socks. My husband is normally a 14 and the 13 is roomy on him.

Eighteen years ago when my husband and I got married and he moved to my farm, I got him his first pair of Bean boots. A few years later, he wanted a spare pair. The first pair finally wore out. Guess what he wanted (and received) as a replacement. These boots are a classic and have gone many a mile in mud, rain, and snow.

Great boots, very comfy! Order an entire size down - they are huge even with thick socks. Well made, expect them to last for a long time!

Make no mistake about it- these are the best, none like them, accept no other...imitations are garbage I have had them all- spend the money and enjoy. They do run large- just follow the sizing instructions.

I've been wanting a pair of these boots for years and something always kept me from buying them. I'm glad I got them. The sizing guide is spot on, I normally wear an 81/2 and bought the 7 and they fit perfect. They get a bit warm inside but for the sloppy wet weather that is the norm here in the Pacific Northwest winter they are perfect.Additionally I will wear them for bicycle commuting in the rain till summer. I was surprised at their comfort out of the box. One of the best items I've bought from LL Bean and I am really pleased they are still made here in the USA.

I received these as a Christmas present from my wife last year. After wanting a pair for years and years, I could kick myself for waiting so long! I use them for everything from errand running on cool, rainy days, to working in my yard, to hunting, and they excel at all of these activities. They are light, extremely comfortable, have great traction, clean up quite easily, and obviously look great. The most surprising aspect to me has been how warm they are. Our winters are fairly mild in Tennessee, but I am very prone to cold feet and these have always kept my toes warm with just a pair of midweight socks. You will probably be hesitant to order such a small size, but they run large so make sure to follow the sizing chart!

I still have my original pair that I bought in 1997; I now use them to work in the yard. I recently bought a new pair and these are the best boots you'll buy. They look fantastic, feel great on my feet and last through the years.

I was a bit hesitant to order a size 10 when I normally wear an 11.5 in everything, but when I received them and put them on it was a perfect fit!
I love these boots, I wear them to work on rainy days...we don't have much snow or ice in Alabama.
Even after buying the a size and a half small I still have room for thick socks!!!
These are "true to size" if you FOLLOW THE SIZING GUIDE!!!

I have never bought a pair of duck boots but my son wanted a pair and after reading reviews knew that I had to buy the Bean Boots. When I ordered I received a message that I would not receive them until January 6, 2013, I was disappointed but went ahead and ordered. I received the boots Dec. 17 and had only ordered Dec 9 so to say that I was pleased would be an understatement. My son is going to be thrilled.

I live in a cold climate with snow on the ground 6 months of the year. This boot is the perfect compliment to my 12" Bean Boots. I wear these when snow on the ground is 4" or less and the higher boots when there's more snow. The boots fit large as described so you must buy one full size down AND wear them with the ragg socks. If you follow that advice these boots will keep your feet warm and dry through winter. The first few times I wore these the leather cut my calf in an awkward place. This was remedied by wearing the higher version of the ragg socks. I highly recommend this boot and wish they hadn't eliminated the dark brown version.
