i have worn these boots for 30 yrs plus and they are still the best value and are the same as they were then not cheaper over the yrs. i bought a pair for our dock guy that takes care of our boat dock an he loves them only comment he had was where were these 50 yrs ago

Bought the wrong size on my first attempt. Fixed no questions asked by customer service. Bought them just for occasional use in wet weather, but they turned into my wear all the time shoe. Love em and the best customer service anywhere.

I bought them for my Grandson for his birthday and had them sent to him down in Louisiana. He normally wears an 11 1/2, but I followed the instructions and ordered him a size 10 [because he wom't be wearing them with heavy socks]. He liked the boots for rainy season, and said that the fit was "perfect".

I'm sitting here getting my boots ready for winter by putting a fresh coat of Sno Seal on and finally ended up doing this review. These boots are my go to winter boots and my feet have never been wet or cold. I was initially concerned about how well these boots would perform compared to my hiking boots but after an entire winter in Maine and Quebec I fell in love with them. I wouldn't necessarily hike 20 miles in these but for nearly every other outdoor task you will be happy. I thought about getting the thinsulate and 8" model but these are perfect- I wear wool socks and my feet are never cold and I've been in deep snow and never had any issues. If you are thinking about these boots then get them! You will be glad you did!

From the moment I put in my order, I figured I was going to have to send them back. My true size is 11;5 - 12, so I followed the recommendations and ordered two sizes smaller, a 10. (Living here in Central Florida, I will never be wearing heavy socks under these boots.) When I took one of the boots out of the box, it even LOOKED way too small to me. Nonetheless, my foot slid easily into the boot. Same with the other foot. Laced them up over my padded athletic socks and walked around a bit. Comfy! Amazing. I can't wait to put them through their paces!

My husband and son have been wearing LL Bean boots for years. These are great boots and I highly recommend.

They are comfortable enough to wear all day every day like I do, traipsing through mud, across lawns, in a nursery, digging holes; it's the perfect outdoor shoe for an active person who doesn't want to get wet feet. I pair them with a pair of excellent wool blend socks and my feet feel fine at the end of every day.

Another great Bean product. My last pair last pair lasted ten years. Very happy w/fit and comfort just remember to read the sizing info. before you order. I order a size smaller and they fit perfect.

These are my second pair of Bean Boots. I bought the shearing lined 10 inch for the winter in Sweden and they bore the brunt of the blizzards so well I decided to get a pair for the wet autumn. These boots are perfect for the wet cold. Just remember to take an umbrella for the upper part of you that these boots don't protect.

If you are even reading this, you are obviously interested in these shoes. They are significantly better quality and style than similar duck boots/shoes from other companies! They are extremely comfortable and functional. The size notes are true, order a size down. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 (depending on the shoe) and I ordered these in a 8, and I can wear either a thin or thick sock comfortably. DO NOT HESITATE, PURCHASE NOW!

GREAT boot, I walk in the wet grass in early AM with my dog Honey and the water doesn't bother the shoes a bit (my other boots - another brand - were getting water soaked every morning). I wear the Bean thick socks with this boot and it is a perfect combination. Getting the correct size is critical and the people at the 800 number will help in this regard.

Rapid shipment of an excellent product that three generations of my family have worn and continue to wear.

This boot is a classic, and will never go out of style. I've had them for a couple weeks and they have proven to be very water resistant and seem to be very well made and durable. They look great with jeans, chinos, and even dressier trousers on a rainy day. Read the sizing instructions - it's important to order one size down if you won't be wearing these with huge socks. I still rated them a little large because even one size down from my regular size they still feel slightly big with thinner socks. Only complaint so far is that after a bit of walking there is some discomfort in the ankle area, but I think it's just normal for breaking in a new pair of boots. These boots are recommended.

I've had two Maine Hunting Boots for decades, but until the most recent order couldn't believe that the right size would be 9D - for a 10D - 10EEE foot! With medium weight wool socks. But it's true. These fit like a glove, while I was slipping around in the others. Really, order a full size down and don't push the width and it's just right, Outstanding comfort in wet terrain and durable.

FOR YEARS I PUT OFF BUYING LL BEAN RUBBER BOOTS AND NOW THAT I OWN A PAID I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BRAND OF RUBBER BOOTS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS I EVER OWNED. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK PROOF THE USA MAKES GREAT STUFF. ONLY THING I HAD TO BUY TWO SIZES SMALLER TO GET THE PERFECT FIT.

These shoes only serve one purpose for me, keep me dry and comfortable in bad conditions. Compared to all the other options I've tried, they are easily the best. You know a product is good when you regret not getting them earlier and wasting time with other products. I'm a 9.5 E and sized down to a 8 EE and they fit perfect, I wear normal crew socks with them. The leather quality is good for the price and I recently heard you can ask for quick lace eyelets. The 6" versions are perfect for most of the weather I'll see in the midwest. On top of that they're made domestically. Keep it up LL.

Living on a small farm in PA, I've been using old shoes whenever working outside in bad weather. Often, I couldn't or wouldn't work in bad weather, as a result. I finally sprung for a pair of the classic Bean boots. They changed my life! Now, if the the ground is muddy, wet, snowy, or squishy, I go about my business without even thinking about it. This has opened up my ability to work outside on days when I'd previously stayed inside! Forty, fifty degree days, when it's muddy or has just rained: no problem! I'm out there gardening, puttering, having a ball. I wear fat rag socks, one pair, with a loose fit. I do not have back or foot problems when I'm done! And, believe me, I often do have those problems with certain shoes! If you want to extend you outdoor seasons in the spring and fall, get these. I've examined similar shoes; they don't match Bean's quality.

I bought these boots to work in when it rains/snows in brooklyn, ny. The size chart was correct with a size smaller and therefore fits perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.!!!!!

These boots are great and Beans sizing recomendations were right on. After the first two weeks of spring thaw my feet are dry & the mud washes off.

I just ordered my second pair of these boots. The last pair was bought in 1994. I have worn these boots almost daily for 5-6 months per year. They are showing some slight cracking in the rubber, however they have still not leaked yet. These are the best quality outdoor sportsman boots I have ever worn.

This was my first purchase from LL Bean. I am very satisfied with the 6 inch boot. It is very comfortable and they aren't hot wearing them as I thought they might be with boot socks. I was impressed with the quality of the craftmanship of the boot. I will purchase more items from your company.

I was unsure regarding the size...the recommendation on the website suggested a smaller size...just didn't seem right. I called the toll-free number and spoke to a helpful representative who confirmed the sizing. I received these boots quickly and they fit exactly as described...perfectly. These are really comfortable and required little break-in. Follow the sizing advice online and you won't go wrong!

I bought a pair of these recently and they arrived in a timely fashion. I ordered a 1.5 size smaller than I wear. At first they seemed tight, even with a crew sock. But, they have broken in and are very comfortable and have great arch support.I am know able to fit in these now with a medium thick wool sock which will help on chilly mornings. I use these when I am bank fishing and crossing very shallow water. No leaks yet.I highly recommend these.
