the boots are good boots..how ever to put them on can be difficut..a large shoe horn is needed. you see the back of the boot caves in when putting them on .. thanks for listing..

This boots are as good as you have heard but believe me when I say ORDER A SIZE SMALLER. The quality is top-notch, the materials are excellent, and the comfort is great with a pair of boot socks (otherwise not much cushioning). Order a size smaller and wear thick socks.

Due to a dropped foot problem I've had dificulty in getting my foot into boots for years. Thought I'd try bean boots for a change. Went with only a 6" boot cuz of past problem in putting boot on. These boots went on with ease, even without using a shoehorn. Only regret is that I didn't get a higher boot to address greater than 6 " snowfalls.

Although I wanted to give these as a Christmas present and they were back-ordered 3 months, my boyfriend patiently awaited their arrival. He now insists on wearing them everyday, even in a suit. Great boots that will last forever. Size is accurate and allows room for big socks. Definitely buy them! I'm considering getting a pair for myself.

Our son-in-law has been wanting these boots for years, so we got them for him this year for Christmas. They were on back-order until January and arrived just in time for a huge snow storm in Charlotte, NC, where they live! He is thrilled with the best boots, ever!

I bought these boots for my grandson who is away at college in the wilds of PA. Recently he sent me an e-mail saying "I am in love with these boots. Why didn't I get them 10 years ago!!" Bean's couldn't ask for a more ringing endorsement than that.

My father had a pair of these boots when I was a child and was very pleased with them. When it came time for me to need a pair of waterproof boots for taking care of my horses I looked at many different manufacturers before ordering my boots from Bean.I was so happy with them I bought my wife a pair of the boot moccasins and a pair of the 6 inch like mine.

Bought the 6 inch boot because of the ease of lacing compared to the higher boots. They fit just above the ankle and if laced snugly, snow doesn't get in. Sizing is an issue in tne uninsulated boot. Size 9 is too big and size 8 is too small with heavy socks. The size 8 wide is perfect. I like these boots because I don't have to take them off when going indoors. A few stomps and the snow and mud comes off nicely. Being uninsulated, they're not too warm to wear indoors.

I bought these boots in anticipation of a recent wintertime visit to Cleveland (had never before owned pac boots) and they turned out to be a good buy. The workmanship was very good, the triple-stitched uppers kept my feet dry, and the treads were deep enough to give good traction in the world-renowned Northeastern Ohio slush. More comfortable than expected, to boot. Much handier than galoshes and well worth the money.

My wife gave me a pair of these boots as a birthday gift just before Christmas. She had noticed that my old boots were worn out and didn't keep my feet dry in our soggy coastal weather. My Bean Boots are just the ticket. Sized somewhat large so that they work well with a pair of thick socks, they keep my feet warm and dry and provide great traction in mud and wet grass.

I purchased my 6" LL Bean boots about four years ago just to have for rainy slushy weather around NW PA. That was about the same time that I was taking an avid interest in hiking and was trying to decide on a good hiking boot. Until then I thought I would try the Bean boots, and I haven't changed since. With a couple pair of socks, they do an outstanding job. They are comfortable and I have never gotten my feet wet. I not only hike in them but wear them for all my outdoor chores around home. They have gotten an extreme workout and are still in excellent shape. I just purchased some 8" Bean boots for winter hiking. Can't wait to get them.

Great purchase. Look great, and after a few uses, feel great too. Definitely get a size down as they run large, I even went narrow (but I have small feet for a guy). Brown leather looks great, stands out when everyone else buys the tan leather. Perfect in rain, used a shoe waterproofer just to be safe and leather treater as well. Amazing boot.

IVE HAD THESE 6 INCH BOOTS FOR SO MANY YEARS I CAN NO LONGER REMEMBER.As for sizing it seems one has to think about what size socks one wants to wear.I found for myself i wear Bean smart wool socks with boots 8 inches and shorter.Longer boots i use the Bean boot socks.I have 6 pairs of Bean boots. To me the bast combo was Bean boots with smart wool socks which are no longer carried by bean.My combo of the boots and smart wool socks results in a springy spongy feeling while walking that nothing can beat.I even wear these boots in the house their so comffy. But the family dont like the idea. You cant go wrong with these. Why Bean did away with the smart wool ill never know.Been looking for them to bring them back for years. What a combo

My LLB Boots 6" are 9N(B). (FWIW I wear a 10.5M(D) LLB Classic Penny Loafer). I have a very high arch and these boots give me as much support as my Georgia Logger Boots did. They're really hunting boots, I feel like I'm wearing moccasins when I'm walking in them. I'm in SW Florida, but if I was up north I'd use Atsko Sno-Seal.

I got this 6 inch bean boot in brown/brown and it looks terrific. It's understated enough to work with with most outfits but durable enough to get me through rain, snow and mud during winter. The size 9 fits perfectly with a little wiggle room, so a thicker wool sock would fit fine. I'm usually a size 10.5. I went the extra step and put on Sno Seal on the upper leather portion of the boot, just in case. I love the ankle coverage and it's very comfortable right out of the box. It doesn't have the thinsulate lining but it's warm enough if you wear a medium or thick wool sock. Terrific , reliable, durable boot that will last.

I have several disabilities from Agent Orange exposure in the Viet Nam war. Among them are diabetes and a resulting condition that dissolves the bones in the foot until the bone(s) collapse, resulting in a convex condition where the arch used to be. This is a quite uncomfortable condition. With the shoe inserts for the condition of my foot in my Bean Boots I am able to walk with considerable more comfort. I recommend these boots highly for their fit, quality in manufacture and their anticipated durability.

I am a solid 10 when it comes to shoes. At biggest a 10.5 and smallest a 9.5, but a 10 never fails. In this boot, a 9 is a perfect fit for me, and 10 was still a bit big, even with large socks. Since I wear these for comfort and style and quite often, I usually wear thin socks also, but even with thick socks the size 9 are fine. So if unsure and your right at a particular size, I would go a size smaller to start off with.

I bought this boot as a gift for my husband. They are great when he helps me in the garden and on rainy days when we run errands. He even liked the arch support. They fit the way you recommended in the description.

They run large, but you should be using thick socks with this boot for insulation. Great fit and comfortable to use around the town and in the field.

These are very good snow boots. We don't get great snowstorms in New York City. These boots are good for walking in the two or three inches (of snow) that we may get.
