Great boots. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11. Ordered the size 9 in a medium wide and they fit perfectly. Have used several times in the rain and they keep my feet perfectly dry. One word of advice: get some lightweight wool socks. With no inner lining in the boots, cheap cotton wal-mart socks will not do it. Wool socks are the way to go. Get lightweight socks for when it is warmer, and heavy socks for when it is cold. Your feet will always be the right temperature.

Thank you to Diane for making my boots! A friend of mine got these and recommended them. Just about every other person in Lexington, KY wears these. They fit perfectly, comfortable and they're quiet when you walk in vinyl and wood floors. I waited about two months for these to arrive. They were well worth the wait.

I finally got the boots I've been wanting. I am happy with them. I was concerned with the size at first, but after wearing them for awhile they seem to be fine. The real test will come when we get nasty weather. These boots were back ordered right after Christmas, it was worth the wait. Thank you to Juanita and the "Bean Boot Team" !!!

Both of my sons now have the L.L.Bean duck boots. They love them! I ordered the size I thought my son would need, but they turned out to be too large. When that initial order was placed, I received the item quickly. However, the size my son actually needed, turned out to be on back order. I was told by the customer service rep that they would not be available until March. Luckily, they arrived in early February so there will still be plenty of opportunities for my son to wear them before the end of winter. Quality is great and my son is quite happy. So am I.

This is my third set of LL Bean 6" boots over a 18 year period. They are comfortable, well made and stylish and the people at LL Bean are just the nicest people to work with.

These were well worth the wait and I received them before the anticipated shipping date. They are well crafted and waterproof. I cannot imagine not having these, throw away your Wellies and get a pair of these. They have the support that many waterproof boots fail to provide.

There is a reason the design of these boots has not changed. They are the best snow and foul-weather boots around. They are durable and comfortable. I have this pair and the 10" shearling-lined boots. The only note I have is that while I got the shearling-lined boots in size 9, I got these in size 8 to account for the extra space the shearling takes up. On first trying on the size 8 they felt too tight. A half-size would've been perfect. On wearing them for a few weeks, however, they moulded to my feet, and fit perfectly. I will never buy a different pair of boots (and probably won't have to!)

Yes, Bean boots are everywhere right now but I've been wearing them before they were the "it boot" and I have found the perfect height in this model. I prefer the unlined models for more room in the toe box and I mainly use them for foul weather commuting and running around town. I have higher, more insulated boots for heavy snow removal. I have worn the moc version for year but wanted something a little higher but not a full boot. I considered the gum shoe but they are out of stock which led me to the 6". It is in fact, perfect. Just the right height to keep water and slush at bay but not so tall they read "backwoods boot". Great for slipping under chinos for work or jeans for the weekend. Light enough in weight and height for both winter, spring and fall. I will enjoying using these in many applications and highly recommend this height for "every day" wear. Just don't forget wool socks in the winter!

I normally wear a 10.5-11 so I ordered a 10 wide and it is very roomy. Fits perfectly when I wear with some thick winter/hiking socks. Great quality and very comfortable!

Ordered these for Christmas, but they were backordered until April. I kept the order and planned to use them for a birthday present instead. However, they shipped in mid-January and my son, a baseball coach, was excited to get them before the season started. Great boots for working on a baseball field when there is mud, snow, etc.

My college son wanted a pair of Bean Boots for the holidays and we walked into our local store and they had his size in his preferred boot. I liked them so much that I wanted a pair but they were out of stock in my size. They were out of stock in every size. In fact, we found out that they only had his pair because they were returned 1/2 hour before because they were the wrong size (Bean Boots run big by 1 to 1.5 sizes). I went online and ordered my pair and was promised a March delivery...about 4 months in the future. The boots last forever, so I decided to go ahead and order, figuring I'd wear them the tail end of this season and every future season. Well, the boots came in early Feb and I love them. They are a 1/2 size big, but no problem. They look great and are very comfortable and will get better as I break them in. They keep my feet dry and warm in moderate cold. I will switch to a more insulated book for deep cold and snow. Love the boot and the way they look and feel!

My husband prefers the L.L. Bean boots for working around our farm because they hold up well to our Idaho weather. At the time I ordered them, I was informed they would ship on January 28 because they are hand made. However, they actually arrived on December 28--a nice Christmas surprise! He was able to continue having warm, dry feet!

My usual shoe size is 8 (wide), but I purchased these boots in 7.5 (wide) as recommended. I'm glad I did! They fit like a glove, especially with medium-weight hiking socks. I took these boots out for a test drive recently in snowy Pinecrest, California. I did some light hiking and walking in the snow. My feet felt great. The boots provided just enough warmth and support. My only suggestion for improvement of these boots is that the heels need to be a little wider for wide widths. The heels on my boots look and feel like they were made for regular widths. This is my first review for an LL Bean product. I hope you find my review helpful.

Purchased these boots for my 20 year old son and he loves them. They're very comfortable and they'll be great for winter wear. They do run large. He usually wears a 10.5 and the size 9 that we purchased fit him well.

I was pretty young when I got my first pair of Bean Boots and I've had at least one pair in my closet ever since. Here in NYC, they're a winter essential. We don't get a lot of snow here, but when we do, it quickly turns to a slushy mess, with large pools of water and half-melted snow everywhere. Without my Bean Boots I'd be in trouble. I'm glad to see that my newest pair is just as well made (in the USA, no less) as the others I've had. They also fit as well as always and are true to size. I'll never be without them.

My first pair of LL Bean Boots and I love them. Today we had our first snow storm and they kept me warm and dry, while I shoveled out my cars. Hope they live up to all the great reviews and last me a long time.

These are my fifth pair of Been Boots this year and I am continuously being impressed. A wood ( I'm trying to sound Mainish ) of advice; read product info on all boots! When told to up size or down size, please pay attention, as you will get a better fit. In particular, these 6 inch boots, the beeny people said: If you wear a half size, order 1 and a half size down. I did and they fit great, even with thick socks! Also, these boots have incredible grip.Be carefull on vinyl,

Wasn't sure about the size so I called your customer service. Explained that I have a high instep and large feet (13W). She suggested that I order the 13W so I did Waited until November to order even though all the catalogs warned of the backlog. The first notice was that they would not be shipped until late January. Then got a pleasant surprise...they were shipped the first week of December. Tried them on and they fit really well and were easy to get on/off. Bought them for use when snow blowing and had not had to use them yet. Weather is crazy...12/23 and it's 60 degrees. Has not snowed yet and none in the extended forecast.
