I am a regular size 13-14 depending on brand. I fit comfortably in a size 12. The boot sizes run smaller. I ordered another brand two years ago, but they were heavy and difficult to wear while driving. L.L Beans boots are: comfortable, light weight, easy to travel, and great everyday boots during the winter. Also great for rain boots. The opening of the boot is a little snug. You might need a shoe horn to slide your foot in and to avoid pulling the loop. The loop broke off the right boot after a week. I emailed customer service regarding the issue and they had a new pair in the mail the next day. Amazing customer service.

First, I could not be more happy of my L.L. Bean Boot purchase! Sizing review is as follows: I wear a 12 tennis shoe, an 11 boot, and a 10 Bean Boot. These boots fit perfectly, even though I was skeptical of sizing at first. Buy them, you will NOT regret it!!

Exactly as described, runs small. I usually wear 9/9.5 size so I ordered an 8...fits perfectly! I am using these for working around my place which in places is pretty darn muddy. Chain tread is superb--gives good traction yet is easy to clean. I either find a puddle and impersonate a 6 yr old, or hose them off.

I have had my pair since 2013 and they look brand new. Laces are stiff, construction is solid and they look great. Wearing thicker socks helps keep my toes warm but they are not a winter boot for that reason. Great for those cooler, slushy winter days and great for the winter to spring transition.

My husband needed some boots that were fashionable and functional. He was resistant to getting these as he hates being "on trend" but after wearing these for the first time during last Saturday's snow storm, he was sold. These run wide, but that's perfect for him because he has wide feet. We followed the sizing instructions LL Bean listed and he's very happy.

I just replaced a pair that I've had for almost 10 years, and these are great. The 6 inch boot is perfect in light snow and slush and mud. I use the Bean boot guard, and the dirt wipes off the upper easily. Easy to wear around all day, to get in and out of. Add the replacement shearling insole - even better! A suggestion - remember to order small - I'm a 10.5 comfortable in a size 9 of this boot.

These boots are a perfect fit right out of the box. First day I wore them out and about I forgot I had them on, they were so comfortable. Their superior craftsmanship ensures they will certainly last me a very long time.

These are amazing. Order the way that they warn you to (one size down). I wear a size 11 most of the time, but in the Bean Boot I'm a 10 with a tad of wiggle room even. These are amazing for just about everything. Don't hesitate, just do it. You'll be glad that you did for years to come.

These boots are excellent. I had at first ordered the slip on but decided that I needed better ankle support and for the boot to be a little higher but be easy to slip on. Met all my expectations and made with the same quality and care as my 8" high boots that I have had for over 20 years. Plus made in the USA by American workers.

I was originally told that these would not arrive at my house until after Thanksgiving which would have been about a twelve day wait for the shoes I paid for but I was fortunate enough to get them a few days before. When I got them I was surprised that they were not double boxed, which is different but not bad at all. The fact the shoes were very well made, and looked great made my Thanksgiving.

I have a high instep and was pleasantly surprised when my foot slid into the boot with no tugging required. Yeah!!!!

These are incredible boots. I just got them recently and I wear them all the time. If you're thinking a 6" might be too short- it's not. It's a great height and I like the height way better than my 8" sorel's. As for sizing, these boots are very different. I wear a size 12 in Vans and size 11.5 in every other shoe (Nike, Cole Haan, Adidas, Reebok, etc.) so I'm normally either a 11.5-12. I decided to order a size 10 in this boot because of all the reviews I read and it was a great decision. I have plenty of room in my size 10s- maybe even too much- so if you're thinking between a bigger or smaller size, go smaller. Overall, great boots though

The duck boots are wonderful and my guys love them. This wasn't our first purchase and won't be our last. LL Bean products are the BEST!!!

Great boot. Be sure to look at the sizing chart because the sizing is not like a regular shoe. My son wears a 9.5 running shoe but an 8 in this LL Bean boot.

So far so good for Pacific Northwest rain days. Usually wear a 9.5 M and went with 8 M per instructions. Little snug in fore-foot, but getting used to it. Can lace loosely for easy on/off dog walking duty or cinch them up for a less slipper-like fit.

I bought the low slipon moc's last year and love them, but I sometimes step into water that is deeper than the shoe, so this year I bought the 6" and they are wonderful.

Bought this pair of boots with hopes high that the fit and quality would remain the same. I read the comments that others offered regarding fit so I adjusted accordingly. They are quite comfortable. I will let you know in 5 or 10 years if are as sturdy as my old pair.

Took your on line advice for sizing even though it differed from what I would have chosen from experience. Surprisingly, the boots are perfect. So, I would say to anyone ordering these boots, pay attention to the recommended sizing. The boots are just right and my husband generally has a hard time with getting a proper fit!

Great quality product! I ordered my 14 year old son a size 9 and he normally wears 10 or 10 1/2 in shoe sizes. They are a good fit with room to grow. My 17 year old daughter has a pair as well and we ordered her a size 8(her normal shoe size) and they are a bit big on her, but can still wear them. I would recommend these great quality bean boots to everyone!

If you are like me, you have spent countless hours grinding over what size to order. I am writing this to pay it forward and hopefully help the next guy. I'll keep it simple: I wear a 11 or 11.5 running shoe (Brooks) and a 10.5 dress shoe (Cole Haan, Alan Edmonds). Being a half size was a cause for concern, but I ended up ordering a size 9 (nine) narrow. I just rec'd the shoes today and I tried them on with fairly thick socks and they fit perfectly. They were a touch snug in width, so I probably could have pulled off the normal width. I also tried them on with normal socks and they are solid. If you are NOT a 1/2 size, then I would go with simply 1 size down. I am very relieved as I did not want to go through the hassle of returning - I do not have a local store. I hope this helps you!

Fit as they should...headed to the mtns tomorrow and they will be my go to shoe.
