These are my fifth pair of Been Boots this year and I am continuously being impressed. A wood ( I'm trying to sound Mainish ) of advice; read product info on all boots! When told to up size or down size, please pay attention, as you will get a better fit. In particular, these 6 inch boots, the beeny people said: If you wear a half size, order 1 and a half size down. I did and they fit great, even with thick socks! Also, these boots have incredible grip.Be carefull on vinyl,

Wasn't sure about the size so I called your customer service. Explained that I have a high instep and large feet (13W). She suggested that I order the 13W so I did Waited until November to order even though all the catalogs warned of the backlog. The first notice was that they would not be shipped until late January. Then got a pleasant surprise...they were shipped the first week of December. Tried them on and they fit really well and were easy to get on/off. Bought them for use when snow blowing and had not had to use them yet. Weather is crazy...12/23 and it's 60 degrees. Has not snowed yet and none in the extended forecast.

The boot is great. It is waterproof all the way to the top. The sole doesn't slip and it is very comfortable. After reading sizing reviews, I was concerned that it wouldn't fit well, but I was pleasantly surprised. I wear an 11, and I got the next smaller size. I am happy with the fit and feel really good about this purchase. I highly recommend!

Runs large, about 1 to 1 1/2 sizes larger. Very comfortable. Have wide flat feet. Hard to find shoes that don't put stress on arch. Feet tend to sweat though so good they run big so feet can breathe a bit.

Love my boots, would recommend to all my friends. You can just tell its a Quality product inside and out.

I really like these boots. The fit with some heavier socks, which is natural for cold weather. The are comfortable and stable for walking. I have some damage to my legs and these boots are fine for stability. If they are indeed as waterproof as advertised I will be totally happy. Fortunately I have not encountered any wading water yet. :)

I'm a New Englander who's been living in Texas for nearly 15 years missing my New Englandy things as the weather turns colder and wetter. Love the boots. Always have. My only wish is that they came a little more broken in as the uppers are pretty stiff. But i know they'll break in perfectly as they always do. In a world of constant change - much of it bad - it's nice to know that some good things never change.

The boots are of the best quality as expected. Never disappointed! However, make sure you order a size or two smaller because they run big! I ordered a 10 and probably could have fit in an 8. Having to swap sizes! Other than that, awesome!

I bought a pair of the lower cut "duck" boots 30 years ago and my big toe finally punctured the toe area of the boot. I went to reorder another pair but due to popularity the low cut was not available online. I ordered the higher cut boot and have been extremely pleased with my purchase! I think they will be even better in the rain than my old pair. FYI I have patched my old boots and use them as a backup! Can't throw them away, I probably can get several more years of use.

This is my second pair of these boots, the first pair I bought about 30 years ago. After 30 years they are still functional, but I've worn the soles pretty much smooth, even have the original laces in them, so it's finally time for an upgrade. They seem to run a bit larger than a normal size might, and this is as advertised by Bean. These boots could not be any better !

I would defiantly purchase another pair of LL Bean boots! My experience from LL Bean was first-class from the customer service on the phone to the arrival of my boots. I would defiantly advise someone interested in ordering a pair of LL Bean Duck boots to order a size down because they run extremely big. I wear a size a 11.5 and ordered an 11 and there's still plenty of room.

I own two different "heights" of this boot-just be sure to follow Bean's guidelines for a proper fit when ordering.......comfortable with both medium and heavier thickness socks......typical LL Bean quality........

Love these boots. They fit great (went with one size smaller). Very comfortable right out of the box. I strongly recommend these boots.

The boot was true to my checking out! I was a tad bit nervous about the: narrow/other opinions but I just tried on a friends and went from there! These boots are great and go with nearly everything!!

I purchased these boots for my husband who has worn this style for over 30 years. They are absolutely waterproof, comfortable, and durable. Depending on the weather, he uses them year round. He is happy the style hasn't changed over the years.

I only got 30 years out of the last pair because I lost them in a move. These darn boots just won't wear out! They are comfortable, waterproof and easy to maintain (just watch the video). I have worn them hunting, fishing, walking, hiking - everywhere you can imagine winter, spring summer and fall. With an insulated foot-bed and heavy socks, even good for most winter conditions.

It's hard to believe that a boot can feel like a glove but my LLBean boot 6" comes close. So far I haven't worn it on snowy or icy days so I can't speak about that yet. But it's a treat for my feet! Some caveats: It feels thin which makes it so light; I hope that doesn't mean it isn't tough. It's not lined at all again increasing it's lightness, so you really should wear it with thick socks. And finally, believe the warning to get it one full size smaller. I wear size 11 and purchased a size 10 and it's still a bit roomy even with thick socks. If it's possible to be in love with a kind-of ugly boot, you'll fall in love with this one and you'll reconsider your bootist prejudices.. e

The boots are EXACTLY what I wanted. A waterproof boot that was easily cleaned, comfortable and provided good foot support. The shoe does run slightly large, as the ad states, to allow think socks for colder weather. The boot is a true American-made value

We always called these "duck boots" back in the day. Review and heed the sizing information - it is spot on. I'm a size 12 street shoe and an 11 Bean Boot. Love my boots. Perfect for that rainy day, walking in the wet grass and, I hope, good for the light snow we get sometimes in the SE US.

These are my 2nd pair. Rather than replace the bottoms of my 1st pair (the heels are worn off one corner after 20 years) I ordered a new set of boots. If I had thought about it I think I would have had my old ones repaired. It cost same amount. These boots are perfect for casual or rough wear in my opinion. The 6" version is just right for the mud, snow and heavy rain we get-- easy to get on and off, easy to keep clean. I like that I can wipe my feet and not worry about tracking a lot of mud and water after. Years ago my brother (also a Bean Boot man) suggested Superfeet insoles to reduce back fatigue and they work great. Highly recommended.

The boots fit just as said. Go down a side like they say and you will be pleased. They are extremely warm and I am very happy with my purchase!

This is my first pair of L.L. Bean boots and I love the quality of the boots. You can definitely tell a lot went into making these boots. They fit amazing, though I ordered a size bigger and there kind of big with regular socks but in these cold NYC months ahead, thick socks with help them fit snugly. Can't believe I never purchased a pair before but I will be a returning customer for years to come!

I'm ready to purchase a second pair! These boots are the most comfortable and relaxing boots you will ever own. They even helped support my ankle after knee surgery. And buy the socks too!

Great quality boot. I struggled trying to figure out the right size at first, but pretty confident I've got it right. I wanted to be able to wear thick socks or regular and still be comfortable. The boots arrived in perfect condition and they're very comfortable considering that there isn't much insulation/lining.

LL Bean.....more like LL Best boots ever company and American made to boot, pun intended.
