I owned a pair of Bean Boots 8" from 1990 to 2005. I had them restitched and resoled twice. I wore them most winter days at camp and outdoor education centers during those 15 years. I bought a new pair this year 6" Bean Boots for a holiday gift. I am finally teaching back outside to end my career. I have worn my new Bean Boots for the last 10 days. Great boots and great quality, just as I remembered! Thank you L.L. Bean!

I normally wear 91/2 had to size down to an 8. Love the boots! Our family has been wearing bean boots since the 70's. Always a great purchase!

The boots are great and for someone with big feet they were hard to find. Love the boots however, the laces are so stiff you cannot tie them. Easily changed with new laces.

My foot is wide. The shoe fit is perfect for my fat foot.

Same boots I remember from my college days. I bought these for my son. He wears an 11.5 in most shoes. I followed the sizing suggestion and bought a size 10. They fit perfectly! We chose the boot without additional lining, so that he could wear them year round. They fit well with a sock of standard thickness and thicker winter socks as well. We are very pleased with the purchase and expect him to get years of wear out of them (as long as fit doesn't grow!)

I can see that these boots are made to last! The leather is thick and good quality. For that reason it is quite stiff and the first few walks are kind of rough, but they will break in soon, I'm sure. I have narrow feet and I was glad to see not two but three choices of width. I got the narrow and it is a great fit for me.

These are great boots to put on for the walk out to the wood shop when there is snow on the ground.

Love the 6 inch style. Bought the black on black and then the standard tan/brown. Both feel and perform great in bad weather. Take the advice and go down a full size. I normally wear a 12 but can wear thick wool socks in my Bean Boot 11s.

We live in the Pacific. NW and wear these boots frequently. It is hard to find narrow sizes so we really appreciate that LLBean carries them. The boots fit well, keep our feet warm and dry, and last a long time. Both my husband and I wear this model of boot and are very satisfied with them.

These boots are great ... but expect a bit of break-in time.

Although initially stiff and blister causing if thicker socks not worn, boot is comfortable and durable; it looks as good as pictured. Will purchase again.

I had been wanting some of these boots for years and am so happy to finally have them in my closet. Much like the sizing guideline says, you do need to order 1 entire size smaller than what you wear. I felt funny ordering such a small size, but it fit great once it arrived. Thanks L.L. Bean!

Excellent workmanship on the shoes. Haven't had the opportunity to wear this pair in adverse weather but I feel I will not be disappointed. The fit is perfect, considering I do need wide width. My previous LL Bean boots are about 10 years old and yes, they are expensive but the overall cost of ownership spread over the life of the product is not. This is what we expect from LL Bean. Thank you.

The LL Bean boot is well constructed, but it may be a challenge for some to get a good fit. I have a size larger left foot so I had to separately order a larger size, which is about a 1/2 size too large. I'll use thick socks and may add an insert. I wish LL Bean would add 1/2 sizes. Support was outstanding in helping me with my sizing issue.

LLBean Duck Boot is far Superior to the worlds competitors in durability, comfort, daily wear, tread, style and refurbishing capability. The leather top quality with the rubber boot vulcanized and reinforced; the duck boot does not crack through daily usage. Time and Weather tested...the Duck boot is a Superior Woodsman Classic!

I have had a pair for over 10 years. I wear them fishing and landscaping on wet days. They are still my go to boots for wet weather. You won't be sorry.

I bought these boots for hunting and they are preforming great. I am setting on top of a mountain as I write this and my feet are comfortable and dry. They are holding up to the rough terrain and I am very happy with them. My thanks, Bill

I wanted the authentic "Bean Boots" that others copy so I ordered the plain old 6" regular non lined boots. I could smell the leather taking them out of the box. The workmanship is terrific and the quality is evident. I planned on keeping them for my "nice pair" of rainy weather shoes but I found myself wearing them to run the chainsaw, take the dog out etc....I also ran a lap or two around the soccer field and played goalie for the kids. Take the advice and order a size down. I wear 9's in everything but ordered an 8 because of the instructions. With regular and thin socks, they are really roomy, with thick socks, not tight.....perfect.

Excellent sizing advice online. Fit perfectly, comfortable out of the box! Wore them 8 hours first time!

Great fit and great product!

I bought my first LL Bean 6" boot in 1995. Have worn them over and over and now the soles hardly have any tread left so it was time for a brand new pair, even though the leather was still good. I bought the Boot Guard leather dressing that is recommended for waterproofing. Everything I have ever purchased from LL Bean has lasted for a very long time. I once had a work belt that I wore continually for about 20 years. It finally broke in two pieces and I mailed it back to it's birthplace at LL Bean for burial.
