The boots were comfortable, warm and dry, with a heavy sock the fit was great.

I wear a 10.5 Wide and took the advice of many reviewers to order a smaller size, so I skeptically ordered a 10 EE. They're definitely wide enough which is welcome news since Bean has so "narrowed" it's EE last for hiking boots that I can no longer wear them. These boots are a little long which makes sense given that the recommendations were to order a full size down and I went down only a half size. With a thick pair of winter socks, the fit is perfect so I'm a happy "slusher".

This pair was purchased to replace a previous pair which were about 15 years old and finally had very little tread. These boots are very high quality, fit well with boot socks, and are nearly indestructible. I will always recommend them.

My husband had a pair of LL Bean outdoor boots for 30+ years, wearing them mainly for snow removal at our home and some other occasional projects requiring waterproof boots. When wearing the old pair for the first time this season, we saw that the sole was really thin and the uppers were dried and cracking. So reluctantly, I decided to replace his trusty 30+ year old pair with a brand new pair of boots. Unfortunately, the low ankle height wasn't available any longer in a wide width. So I ordered the next height in a size 9 W (his normal size is 8 1/2 W). They were too large, so I reordered in a size 8 W, and those were perfect! He has worn them numerous times this winter to remove snow, and he says they are warm, comfortable, and keeps his feet very dry! Here's to another 30 years of wearing these LL Bean outdoor boots!

This is my first pair and I love them. I should have bought some years ago. They are reasonably comfortable and keep my feet warm even though these do not have extra insulation. I ordered my regular (wide) size to wear with heavy wool socks and they fit great with plenty of room in the toe box for my wide forefoot. The soles are reasonably grippy in wet and snow. I used them quite a bit during our heavy storms this winter and was very glad to have them. One remark: I've never had laces that needed breaking in. The laces with these boots are very stiff, even after I washed them. I may end up changing them but it's a minor quibble with a great boot. Construction quality was also great.

the shoe was good but i was disappointed because it did not matched the pair i had before. My last Pair began to come apart and i applied gorilla glue to hold it tighter. otherwise this will do. here is a picture of them.

I needed something between high snow boots and low Bean 'duck shoes'. These are a great in between shoe that give traction on snow, are decent on ice, and are waterproof up to a few inches. They are not light weight, but are not tiresome to wear either.

I wear a men size 9, but advised to order a size down, so I ordered a size 8. Out of the box, boots fit perfectly! Exceptional quality and Made in the USA!!!

I've always wanted to get a pair of these famous boots and I'm very glad I finally have them. After a short breaking in period, they are very comfortable (with heavy socks). The flexible sole provides good comfort, especially on hard surfaces. They are easy to clean and I'm certain I will have them for many years to come. I only have one recommendation...make the heel of the sole a little wider to provide more ankle stability.

I use these boots all the time for outdoor work in my yard. They are very useful in heavy, clay soil especially in winter time when the ground can stay soft and wet. My feet stay warm and dry, and the boots are rugged and easily cleaned. As listed in the description, buy a full size to size and half down. I wear a 10.5 shoe and the size 9 Bean boots fit perfectly.

My husband has wide calfs and these were cutting him around the ankle. If you have a normal sized leg, they are perfect.

The 6" (5 eyelet) are a crossbreed of shoe and boot, super comfortable and a true three-season boot that can be worn almost anytime. And they look good doing it!

I ware a size 10 1/2 normally I reluctantly ordered a size 9, glad I did, they do run small, the leather was very stiff at first, however after warring them a few times it broke down. It's a very comfortable boot !

I bought these boots for outdoor farm chores and I have to say they have been working out great for me. I have a pinched nerve in my foot so I cannot wear boots that are too tight. I ordered extra wide and a half a size larger than I usualy get in shoes, so there is plenty of room for my feet and for wool socks if I need them. With or without socks they are easy to slip on and off. The more I wear them the more I like them.

I bought these for my son. Just right for his short walk to work in winter and for many activities here in NY. He says they are comfortable and supportive and he loves them. I bought down a size as recommended and fit is great, even with heavier wool socks!

I've wanted these for a long time and after trying and putting up with a knockoff from Marshalls for 6 years I finally got these two years ago and they are great. I will say tha I am usually a 10.5 to 11 and the 10's fit me well. I don't need super thick socks, but it is never sub-zero here. 15-30's in the winter, mostly closer to 30. A little stiff at the top of the leather by the ankle for the first few times I wore them but hand massaging them while watching TV a little bit when I remembered to do so soften them up. I live east of Seattle in the foothill mountains with lots of rain, and snow in the winter so these work out great. Very happy. (Note that I got my wife a pair of these 12-15 years ago and she still uses them.)

I'm an avid gardener and have bought countless "waterproof" boots. Finally I broke down and bought some Beans. 3 hours in a dewey yard on a Saturday morning, no problem (completely dry feet). Great comfort and bonus they look great. Could not be happier. I've had for more than a year and they are holding up well and have never failed. I even bought an 8" lined version for the winter and they too have been tremendous.
