I've only had these boots for a couple of days but I'm really enjoying them so far. They were a bit stiff the first day but they are already starting to get comfortable.
I wear 11.5EE shoes normally. I order 10EE boots at the recommendation of the size chart. They fit very well including the extra toe room at the front of the boot. I haven't had any problems with breathing or my feet slipping.

First pair lasted about 20 years. Needed a larger size. Hope these will, too. Glad they're still made in the USA.

Definitely follow the sizing guide but once you put them on you'll realize the space is on purpose and makes for a very comfortable boot.

The boots were designed to wear one full size smaller. A mens size 9D should order a size 8D and they fit like saddles on your feet.... however if you are cursed with a big toe bunion, then the boot will be too tight in a D width, if so, then you should order a 8W (EE). The Wide width has a larger toe-box to accommodate your now irregular shaped foot. Hand-made in Maine, they come with a howdy-do greeting from the craftsperson. Nice dry boots to slough through the winter of 2022.

I love the boots but this time I wasn't offered a discount like I got on the previous purchases. Paying $139.92 with tax is way too much but I needed these for work. I may have re-think my options for future purchases.

Got the expected LL Bean quality to replace a very old pair of the same product.

Latest purchase of Bean boots is my third pair over 42 years. Wore the treads off the first two pair. Love these boots for comfort and quality. Note to potential buyers pay attention to recommended size chart. I didn't and had to exchange for right fit. Boots come large. I wear an 11 EE and needed a 10 EE as Bean , and reviews, suggested.
You will not be disappointed if you buy Bean boots.

These boots keep feet warm & dry. Good in rain, snow, & mud. Look good with jeans, khakis, or dress pants.

6" cut. Order one size down, [i.e: A size 9 -D (medium) would order a size 8.]
Looking for a mud puddle. Comfy stomps. I am a true size 9-D. Order a size 8-D
The card says "handcrafted for me, by Kasandra". Thanks doll! I can feel the quality and they fit my feet like saddles.

Purchased these for my son for college. My son wears a 10.5 in a shoe, an 11 in running shoe. As suggested I ordered a size 9 in the LL Bean Bean boot and it fits perfectly. Tried on with both a crew athletic sock and thicker wool sock and both fit fine. Full thumb length between toe and end of boot. These will be perfect for rainy college days.

Great boot for what I use them for. I live in South Carolina. Where the grass it is always wet. I had a difficult time getting my big feet in the boot because the top did not open wide enough. I finally cut the tongue down the middle to get a wider opening at the top. All is good now. The top of the boot gathers together just fine to keep dampness out

I ordered this boot for my husband for outdoor gardening. He likes it very much. Other reviewers advised that the size runs small in these so I ordered a size smaller than usual They fit fine.

I walk in short to tall grass in Houston area with heavy dew or after normal rains. I've had a hard time finding a low quarter boot that will hold out moisture. I don't walk down n deep water (over laces) but I am constantly in wet grass. These boots have worked perfectly while adding support when walking two beagles. I followed recommendations of one full size smaller !! Perfect fit. I normally wear a size 11 wide NB or ASICS tennis shoe for comparison. My ten D Bean Boot is perfect fit. Kassandra and her team made my boots thanks for getting them right guys/gals !!!

This was my first order from LL Bean. I didn't know much about the company until I saw a documentary on YouTube by Lou Dobbs and he talked about how LL Bean had been supplying sportsmen for decades. I read a lot of the reviews about the boots and was concerned about the size so I traced both my feet on cardboard and measured with a tape measure and I ordered that size. They gave me an estimated ship date and my boots came early. I took them out of the box and put them on and started wearing them right away. I've been wearing them for a couple of months and they are very comfortable. We have had a wet spring and I've worn them in mud, wet grass and once in water that almost came over the top. The quality is great, nice leather tops, comfortable insoles and nice treads. I like the chain tread because you get traction without having deep lugs that collect a lot of mud. I really wanted to buy an American product and even though they cost more than a China made boot, I felt like it was worth it to buy a boot made in Maine, USA. These are now my official outdoor work boots and it's nice to know LL came up with the idea years ago to keep his feet dry on his Maine hunting trips.

These are the best rain boots you can buy. All others are just imitating these boots. Take their advice on sizing down.

This is an ideal product for the southeast Texas environment. Weather can be wet and humid sometimes and drought at other times. Comfortable and obviously well made. "Made in Maine" means something!

Very well made boot. As advertised in other reviews (and in my case) the sizes run larger than true. I ordered a full size down from my normal size, and have sufficient room for insole inserts and thick warm socks. I have worn them about a dozen times thus far and found them to be very comfortable on the feet. I have worn them in pouring rain and they performed flawlessly with keeping my feet warm and dry. I highly recommend the boot, but remember to be careful with your sizing when ordering.

I checked "True to Size" but I actually ordered one size below my normal shoe size based on Bean's recommendation. This was the proper choice as they fit well with reasonably thick socks. I bought these to supplement my 10 inch Bean boots which are tedious to lace up and remove when walking my dog in the rain before work. These slip on quickly and tie without having to be laced through several eyelets each time. I should have bought these years ago for anything other than deep mud and snow.
