I have been using this hat when I hike up in the mountain and it is an excellent protection from the sun. I also use the hat during rainy weather because the fabric is waterproof. It is an excellent hat.

I have had this adventure hat from Sunday Afternoons for a long time - ten years or so? Is that possible? It looks a little bit used but works like new. I have been challenged by too much sun exposure growing up in South Florida. I wish I had this hat back then. It protects my face, neck and ears, which other hats don't do. It is light and durable and vented so that my head doesn't overheat. Highly recommended for any outdoor activity where sun protection is needed. Great hat and it makes a great gift for someone you care about.

Use the Adventure Hat gardening and walking on the beach. Comfortable, light, breathes, shades great.

This hat I wore on a 10 day trip to DR Congo and Kenya three years ago. Also, used it on trips to Nicaragua and Costa Rica. It has certainly served me very well. Keeps sun off my neck.

I use the hat at the beach and for gardening. It looks kind of dorky but it works, and that's the most important to me. (It looks even goofier with the back flap velcro-ed up, but I haven't needed to do that.) The chin strap comes in very handy in windy beach weather.

I have had this hat for several years. I wear it when hiking/walking trails, greenways, and mowing the lawn. I often find that even the large size in other brand of hats are not big enough for me but this one fits well and has an adjustment to customize the fit. I have washed the hat several times and it has held up to handwashing very well. I recently purchased two more different styled hats and they appear to be made in the same quality way.

I have the Adventure, Sport, Cloudburst hats and the Sundancer and Sicily Visors. The Adventure is my favorite. It has good ventilation and great sun protection. The strap keeps it on in the wind. I walk a lot and this is my go to hat.

This is not only a great sun hat with full coverage and cool comfort. It is also perfect for wearing under a bug netting hood as the wide brim keeps the netting away from skin so the bugs can't bite through. I use it while working in the vegetable garden during black fly season which invariably coincides with planting time. Thanks for a great hat!

Absolutely best beach hat when you're with little kids! I love wearing this hat anywhere I go with the kids under the sun cause it doesn't fly off and is the least of your worries when your playing with children. Gotten lots of complements, so I direct them to the website. This hat sells itself!

This is the third hat for my husband. He thinks they are great.

All I can say is this is the best all around sun hat you can buy.

I am 69 years old and have had periodic severe sun reactions for decades that affect my exposed scalp, neck and arms. I spend most of my days outdoors in direct sun with well over 100 and 110 degree temperatures in the summer but even in the winter under cloud cover I can still have a UV reaction. I have never been able to stand hats or long sleeve shirts as thy are much too warm and uncomfortable. I recently purchased your Derma Safe hat that covers the neck also and a long sleeve Lightweave Tee shirt on the hope that they might be reasonably comfortable on hot days. It worked! I have worn them over a month now and find them pleasantly cool and comfortable under some 90 degree days so far this spring and while working up a sweat with no more sun reactions! Great Products!! I can't wait until mid-summer to be able to work outside without sun problems.

This is the best hat I have ever had. My hometown rains 200 days in a year, I'm really not doing well with bright sun in Canada. I can finally go out with enough protection. If you see hundreds order from Canada, it was because I highly recommended it on a BBS :-)

I'd always worn straw hats in the past. I love being able to put this one in my luggage or backpack. It is comfortable and has provided excellent sun protection.

I was introduced to this hat by a friend who had purchased one and was very pleased with it. She let me try it on and immediately I wanted to order one for myself. Not only will I wear it to garden but my husband and I bike-ride, kayak, and walk. It will be on my head more than off!

Living in South Florida and having so much sun, I use it everyday! I could have them in all different colors!

I live in southern NM in the high desert. We have sun, sun, sun and it is very intense. You can burn in a few minutes without protection. I bought my first hat at a local garden store about 5 years ago in Cream/Sand. It has held up very well, through multiple hand washes. Now, I'm ready to phase in a new hat in a different color to give me a chance to change my look. Because I am sensitive to suncreens, I depend on this hat exclusively for my sun protection. It works wonderfully! For a couple of years, I would take my hat off when I went inside, but recently have just kept it on. Well, I've gotten MANY comments about how great the hat looks! People have been very impressed when I tell them how well it protects. I've given out the website address several times...It's amazing how my "old hat" has been rediscovered! Can't wait to see what buzz my new hat in Chambray/Zinc will create!

I received my hat on my birthday and immediately took it out of the box and took it with me to the zoo that day. Wore it all afternoon and I LOVED it. This is the most comfortable, lightweight, fantastic hat I have ever owned. And it kept me from getting any sunburn on my face and neck at all. I would buy this hat again in a heartbeat. My family (including 2 kids) have been wearing this style hat for 15 yrs. The quality is superb & everywhere we go, we are asked where did we get our hats. We are extremely active outdoors & after a long fun sweaty day I simply throw them in the washer & they hold up for yrs. The brim is very durable. It will become less stiff thru the yrs of washing but it is still functional & does the job. When we travel abroad we simply fold it in half & it packs well. We will NEVER buy any other style. My kids have never had their face/neck burned since & are the only ones out on the soccer fields proudly wearing their hats. THANK YOU Sunday Afternoons for such a wonderful design.

Except for times when this lightweight hat wants to blow in the wind, I love this hat. Great protection for head and neck/shoulders.

I have a wildly colored print model which I have had for years. I wear it walking and hiking in California, sailing in the Caribbean, rafting down the Grand Canyon, wandering around Angkor Wat, and anywhere else I go where I will be out in the sun. I have now bought a more subdued color to wear on safari in Southern Africa as apparently bright colors are not advised for that adventure. I usually do not like hats, but these are so cool and light you hardly know they are there, and yet they keep off all the sun and glare and never blow off whatever the wind. I am not sure about style, but they are A+ for comfort, function and fit.

I put this hat on as soon as I received it and took a beautiful long hike into the desert. The hat felt so good on my head--comfortable, lightweight, and great protection from the sun. The back can roll up and be secured with velcro but I left the back down. The brim is just perfect. I can see well but my eyes and face are protected from the sun. This hat kept my head cool as well. I selected the sagebrush/charcoal color. Can't say enough great things about this hat. Wish I had known about it years ago!

This is my fourth SundayAfternoon hat which I wear during my work as a gardner/estate caretaker in a high plateau on the north shore of Hawaii. There is nothing comparable for overall protection, easy of care and good fit!

I used this hat for a two week hiking tour through Israel & Turkey. We were in the sun all day everyday during this trip but the sun was never an issue with this hat. It did get pretty windy and by the end of the trip the adjustable chin strap did start to give in but I was able to make it work. This was a good investment and would do it again if the need presents itself. Thumbs up!
