Recently I went on vacation in the Canadian Rockies, I got several compliments from people on the hikes, some wanted to know where I got the hat. I was a walking advertisement for Sunday Afternoons! The hat not only offered great sun protection, it also kept my head warm when we were hiking to high elevation where the wind was strong. The hat is easier to take on a trip and easy to clean.

I wear my hat whenever I go outside! I have very fair skin; and I love that I know I am protecting myself from the UVs when I wear my hat! I also get compliments every time I wear it and many people ask where I got it. So I just show them the tag that has Sunday Afternoons web and phone number! I love everything about this hat especially the dark fabric underneath that cuts the glare from the sun! For all sunny afternoons, I wear this hat! LOVE IT!

Just spent two weeks at little coastal town in Yucatan. Thought this hat might be too much, but--ha, ha!--it was perfect. Plus, the fabric is so tight it works well to bail water! Funny thing, when you see the local Mexican fishing guides, they look like mummies: it's 85 degrees, 80% humidity, and they've got gloves, long sleeve shirts, long pants, a hat, sunglasses, and a fabric tube pulled up over their necks and face, right up to the bottom of the sunglasses. Avoiding the sun on the water down there is serious business, and this hat did it for me.

I first wore one of these hats that my daughter had and loved it so much I ordered one for my husband and myself. We have a lot of sun as we live in Surprise, AZ. They are so light weight you hardly know you're wearing a hat. Would never buy any other hat.

LOVE this hat! I mostly wear it at the beach for hours on end. It is not too hot, and it is very light weight so it is extremely comfortable. The brim stays straight even if it gets soaking wet! The chin strap holds it on no matter how strong the ocean breeze is. If it were to come off (which it never has) it floats so I don't have to worry about loosing it in the surf. I have loved this hat so much that I have turned half of my family and my husband's family onto Sunday afternoons! Their products are so far superior to Columbia, which is who my family used to use. Not any more! The first summer before they got their Sunday Afternoons they were so jealous of mine! There is nothing I don't love about this hat!

I wanted this hat for all my outdoor activities, especially hiking and camping. I really like it. The back flap is kind of dorky-looking but is very valuable for my needs; otherwise the hat looks great. The best thing about it for me is the stiff brim; I hate how other "recreational" sun hats that are packable have floppy brims. I prefer the tan color to the sagebrush/charcoal.

I've tried many sun hats over the years, but this one is the absolute best. It is light, cool, and provides full protection for both face and the back of the neck. As a bonus, it helps protect from biting black flies and mosquitoes. I have used a head net over this hat during the worst of black fly season, and the broad brim is perfect to hold the net away from my face. It's great on the trails, on the water and in the garden. It's also attractive enough to wear on casual rambles around town.

A friend introduced me to the Sunday Afternoons Products. Between the windy Florida beaches and world travel, I stay protected from the sun with my hat, and it stays on too. I bought this hat at Fiesta Days, a summer event in our small town in the mountains of Southern California. The colors are great: bright pink on top and purple underneath; and the drawstring keeps it from blowing off when I am walking in the wind. I use it while walking the dog, running errands around town, at the beach...I like the fact that it is washable (most hats are not) and lightweight (easy to carry). I wore it last week at a county fair and a friend wanted to know where I found it! I ordered one for her online, knowing she will get lots of use from it.

Just bought two of these hats. One for me and one for a friend. I needed something that offered me full coverage from the sun due to my aging skin. I walk and garden a lot so this will provide me with the protection that I need.

This hat will be great for our upcoming travels because it will pack so well. I don't like the decorative band on some of the original colors and notice that it has been deleted from some of the new colors. Will you be adding a nice red color in the future?

I use this hat for my around the house activities. Gardening, landscaping, mowing and hiking out west. Feels great and comfortable.

I use the hat at the beach and for gardening. It looks kind of dorky but it works, and that's the most important to me. (It looks even goofier with the back flap velcro-ed up, but I haven't needed to do that.) The chin strap comes in very handy in windy beach weather.

Used it for long days on the water, very comfortable and supplies plenty of shade in the blazing sun, excellent.

I was worried that the large would not be large enough because experience has made me wary of sizing on hats but it fit beautifully with a tiny bit of cinching in the back (cinching tab built in). Wore it immediately to do some yard work and was extremely pleased with the fit and sun protection! Order was on my doorstep within two days of ordering. Person taking phone order was helpful and pleasant.

My husband and I have been wearing Adventure hats for at least five years here in south Arizona. Hardly a week goes by when someone doesn't stop us and ask where we got ours. We are very satisfied with the performance and appearance of Sunday Afternoons hats.

I have worn this hat in the hot sun on two trips to Africa [South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda], and on a trip to Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia. It keeps the sun out of your eyes, has ventilation, and covers maximally with sun protection. It keeps its shape and cleans after I throw it in the washing machine with my regular laundry. It's a definite keeper.

I've had the white/blue adventure hat for about five years now. Used for boating and yard work. Cleans great in the washer, and virtually no wear and tear. I never thought the white would hold up so well. I just lost it and am buying the same hat again. These are lightweight as one reviewer put it, but are made to last, with quality materials. I live in Florida and have looked for years for a hat that's lightweight, durable, and covers the sides of my face, ears and neck.

I love the sloping brim for protection; I use it for everything: hiking, walking, playing in the park, even just going from car-to-store and back. Stays on, brim doesn't flip back in the wind. Large selection of colors that match pretty much every outfit. The sweat band used to go all the way around and now doesn't, I wish it did.

For working in the garden, this hat is the greatest! It shades my face but I can see freely to work comfortably. Even in the hot sun, this hat keeps my head cool. Best of all, I love it because I can look stylish while doing all my chores!

best sun hat on the market! I'm a swim instructor almost year round - in water outside 7 hours a day - this hat is an absolute must! A true winner!
