The good: It may look worse for the wear but between forest service, ski patrol, trail work, countless hikes, manual labor, and general garden work my hat is still going strong. Even with me rolling it up to stuff in my pack! The bad: One small tear has developed in the fabric. I also had to take in excess on the back flap so it would hang nicely flat. Packing it flat isn't easy in a hike pack. It's hard to keep securely rolled up. Some sun fading has occurred on the side mesh. Looking at getting a new one to wear when I don't want to look completely grungy. I wish there was a hybrid between the adventure and sport version of these hats. I would LOVE for my adventure hat to have loops to hold sunglasses secure and the brim to fold yet still have max sun protection (hint hint). Have to wear glasses on my head under my hat to keep them secure which looks weird and makes for inconvenient sunglass access.

These hats are fantastic. I think we've bought about 10 over the years (we have a large family and they keep growing!)

This is my third in this style. (changed colors this time) I travel a lot. Bought a similar one from a different company for my son in law while my daughter ( whom I got one just like mine) and he lived in Nicaragua. He wanted hers so when I went home, had to leave mine for him. They are sooo light and clean nicely with a wash cloth. Back in the states,I bought a replacement for myself. I used to fold in half and tuck in my bag, so it got a crease in the beak. I didn't mind it at all but after 6 years with the same one, decided to retire the old faithful to yard work duty. The neck string is so light and slide easily! Great for loosening to let it slide down your back when in a store. Doesn't choke when you do that either! Just bought the new one in that beautiful neutral green. Love it. But of course won't be sporting it until after Covid 19! Love the fact that it comes in sizes- as I have a big head and one size fits all NEVER fits my noggin! Would never buy from anyone else!

I have had this hat albeit an earlier version for 15 years or thereabouts. It has kept the sun off me for thousands of hours and still looks good despite the age. I really can't say enough good about the hat. One comment I would make to Sunday Afternoons is to bring back the really open mesh on the sides of the Adventure Hat. I know my hat has less sun protection given the weave on my hat but the increase in ventilation is worth the bit more sun.

I haven't worn it often yet; however, the fit and size are fine. It's lightweight and can't blow away when it is windy. It's a keeper!

this L/xtra large is bigger than the last one I lost which was just large... should have gotten medium, but if it's cold I can wear a beret easily within the hat.

Light weight, comfortable and roomy. L/XL fits my big head nicely. Perfect hats for our trip to Africa.

Bought this hat five years ago and it's still going strong. Just got back from Antarctica where the sun can be intense and wore this hat every sunny down there. Not only does it protect from sun, but it also is somewhat water resistant, so kept the water spray from the ocean waves as well as light rain from penetrating. I use it anytime it's sunny outside and I'm going to be out for awhile. The wide brim does blow up in wind, but I use the chin strap to cinch it down tightly. This hat has been crushed in suitcases, trashed with mud and subjected to unkind treatment from me, but always bounces back. I've given it a heck of a wear test over the years and it's still looking great. Thanks Sunday afternoon for designing such a smart, sturdy, functional hat!!,

"The Best Hat to Keep sun of Head, Face And Neck" This is my fourth or fifth Adventure Hat. It is by by far the most comfortable hat to wear for someone who spends many hours in the sun. I use this hat primarily for fishing. I also use it when I'm walking my dog on days when the sun is out and I want protection.

My third in about thirty years. Total sun protection -- no nose-tips sticking out, neck covered, everything. Cooler than any other hat I am aware of. The brim NEVER loses its shape. After twenty years of running, backpacking, being outdoors in the sun-blasted west, the sun finally fried the top of my first one. There's a lifetime guarantee but claiming it for #1 just wouldn't be fair!

Fits as expected, great for fishing or the beach. Blocks the sun from your face and neck.

I have had this great hat for almost 20 years. Just the best! I walked across the state of Kansas wearing this hat. So well made! So utilitarian! Comfy! Unique look! It will last forever!!!!

My wife & I bought our hats many years ago at the Pleasanton, CA, fair. We used them a bit in CA, but even more so since we moved to Texas. We do a lot of outdoor work on our 2 acre (retirement) farm.

I bought this hat in 2017 and 6 years later it is holding up great! I absolutely love it. At first I only wore it occasionally but then got into some regular outdoor activities - boating and walking. This summer I wore the hat every day to keep out the heat/sun. It is almost like new! It washes well too. I have a small head and got the medium size which fits very well.

Loved using this hat for my Mount Kilimanjaro Trek. It was comfortable, light and provided great coverage. I highly recommend.

I wore this hat while hiking in Kilimanjaro National Park. It did a great job protection my face and neck from the sun, including during the multi-hour trek down from the summit (high altitude, high sun exposure). The hat was comfortable as well.

This was my favorite hat, when I was Trekking to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, it covered my neck, Face and ears. It was light weight and I gel inlove with this style from the beginning.

Unfortunately, I lost my first hat while vacationing. I felt compelled to replace it with the very same model. It fits well, gives good shade coverage and is breathable. The chin strap keeps it secure even in a strong wind. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who spends time outside in the sun.
