The stiff brim and chin strap lend themselves well to windy weather and/or sports. (I use this hat for bicycling since I am more worried about skin damage and cancer than traffic accidents. I suppose one could modify it for use under a helmet if one cut slits into the mesh vents to run the helmet strap through. Maybe an idea for Sunday Afternoons: design a hat to be worn under bike helmets!) I like that this hat is light-weight, breathable, and non-constricting. I do not like its dorky look; you really cannot care about style when wearing this.

I walk through the park in my neighborhood three to four times a week. I always wear my Adventure Hat, so I have a full face and neck protection from the sun. I love my Adventure hat! I have been asked by many people where I have got my Adventure hat, so I have always give them Sunday Afternoons' web page. You have great hats!

I wasn't sure that I'd like this product, since I'm used to only wearing baseball style hats. However, due to a medical condition and the need for extra protection I chose the Adventure Hat. It is great and provides super coverage when I'm out fishing, mowing or doing other outdoor activities.

I wanted this hat for all my outdoor activities, especially hiking and camping. I really like it. The back flap is kind of dorky-looking but is very valuable for my needs; otherwise the hat looks great. The best thing about it for me is the stiff brim; I hate how other "recreational" sun hats that are packable have floppy brims. I prefer the tan color to the sagebrush/charcoal.

My son has very fair skin, takes meds & requires skin lotions that render him even more sun sensitive. We've tried many hats low cost to high cost and this is the absolute best protection we've found that doesn't make him look silly. Unfortunately one of his job coaches lost his hat so we have to buy another but I'm thrilled to find so many more color options here. HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Having such a fair skin and now so many skin cancers; this hat is with out a doubt the best of many hats I have owned over the years. Lost my first one so bought another. It's very lightweight and cool, but will sometimes will blow of your head. I recommend it to everyone. When I get the money I will buy one of the water-sport hats for my boat. I can't find one that will stay on at high speed and the sun hurts the cancer spots I had cut off. 1st quality products. Trust me.

I use this hat daily as I am a farmer and in the sun most of the day. It gives great protection and is light and cool to wear. I now have three of these hats. Please continue to make this style. Thank you.

I love this hat and won't hike the Arizona desert trails without it! The design protects my face and neck from the sun while at the same time, the hat is so light and well-ventilated, it is as though I'm wearing no hat at all. The brim is designed perfectly to shade my face while not obscuring my view of the scenery. Every time I hike, I see more people wearing the Adverture Hat!

I must have 10 assorted Sunday Afternoon hats, and love them all. Most recently, I purchased the Adventure Hat in PINK. It's perfect for social gatherings, while other of my Adventure Hats are used for gardening and fishing! Great to have that SPF too! Thank you!

We are living in Israel which is a hot and sunny country. Since I bought this hat for him, it became his hat for the kindergarten, and he likes it very much. He never forgets to use it, and that means it is very comfortable for him.

I bought this hat for myself, and my husband and I fought over it during our whole vacation. I just bought him one of his own for his birthday!

I no longer go outside without a hat & wear this one while working in the garden & walks/sun protection. The large size fits my large head very comfortably (I'm not a one size fits all). Love the large brim & the shaping wire which prevents the brim from flapping in the wind, sizing cord, & chinstrap; however, can't wear the hat while driving because of the large brim/shaping wire. Easily remedied though - take it off in the car & back on once out of the car.

This is the most comfortable hat that I have ever owned! I wear it for ALL my working and recreational needs! It's the ONLY HAT I've ever seen that protects my head, ears ,neck and upper face from the sun's harsh UV rays! And it's fit is so, so comfortable that you don't even realize you're wearing it! This hat's ventilation in all ways is superb as well! And a big thanks for the chin-strap when encountering any harsh windy weather! I contacted Sunday Afternoons looking for a hat that would protect me equally from strong sun and pouring rain. I am an adult adviser with a co-ed teenaged crew hiking 80 miles in the wilds of Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico this summer, and need to be prepared for all kinds of weather. Customer Service suggested the Cloudburst hat, and I could not be happier. I used it last weekend on a training hike and luckily (or unluckily) tried it out in both sun and rain. During a classic New England thunderstorm, I felt like I had my own personal umbrella keeping me dry. What I especially liked was the fact that my face and glasses stayed dry throughout a rigorous hike in a deluge of rain! I actually laughed at the weather! This hat is great with a couple small exceptions. Really protects your head, ears, scalp and a lot of your face. If you water proof it, its also great in the rain. Only complaint is the brim can get creased and then depending on where the crease is located, it can interfere with open clear vision. I have two of these hats. My older one does not have a creased brim because I think I bought it prior to their putting foam in it for flotation. The old one can be folded in any way without damaging it, which is a big plus.

I admired this hat on a volunteer in a nature reserve near Las Vegas when visiting USA from London UK some years ago, bought it and have been wearing it ever since. I am great at losing things but the strap which is adjustable keeps it attached to me. What I really love is that it looks feminine as I really don't want to look like a man with peaked cap when I am wearing bird-watching gear. My glamour-conscious grand-daughter keeps trying to use it. It is practical of course, and I like it so much that have ordered another for a relation in London.

My husband teased me mercilessly when I bought one of these for myself to wear while gardening, and then he used it one day while kayaking and now he loves it! I need to get him his own for Christmas.

I was worried that the large would not be large enough because experience has made me wary of sizing on hats but it fit beautifully with a tiny bit of cinching in the back (cinching tab built in). Wore it immediately to do some yard work and was extremely pleased with the fit and sun protection! Order was on my doorstep within two days of ordering. Person taking phone order was helpful and pleasant.

This hat allows me to be out in the sun for extended periods of time without worrying about skin damage. It allows my head to stay cool and is a comfortable fit. Usually I do not like wearing hats, but this one is great!

The Adventure Hat is awesome. The neck cover is great as it covers your entire neck unlike many others. The hat is also very breathable to keep you cool even on those hot days! Highly recommended.

This is the third hat of this style I purchased and i am totally satisfy with this purchases...I used it every day even in the ocean and does not weigh me down at all and washes perfectly....I live in Funny Isles in Florida, so I really used it and abused it....The first hat I bought is still in perfect shape.....
