The toe box was a bit larger than I prefer. The foam sole was very cushy.

I love them. I"m 77 and like to hike the woods with my Belgian Malinois. I wish you would make a sturdy boot/shoe as cushy as these. I'd buy at least 2 pairs!!

Heel feels loose in this shoe, like I'm slipping out of it.
Shoe is on the large size. Cushioning is v good, but the fit lets it down. Disappointed overall with a shoe of this cost.

I have the previous version of this shoe, which I love. I needed a new pair, ordered this version - the heel height it at least a 1/4" shorter than the previous version. What does that do? your heel slips out when you run - sorry, your shoe moves, you're getting blisters. So - this heel height is no good, they didn't have to *fix* this or optimize it... I have to find a different running shoe.

What happened to the Wide and X Wide sizes for the 1080v11 ?? I have been purchasing the wide and x wide in 14. The x wide fits me the best. I was so excited to find a shoe with great comfort and style and have bought several pairs. This shoe also gives me the arch support I need and quells my plantar fasciitis!! I hope the wide and x wide sizes return. It is so difficult finding shoes that fit, alleviate foot pain and great style!!

Everything was great for a few months but the heel is made of foam and it ripped apart fairly quickly even though I was super careful putting the shoes on, having experienced something similar in the 1080v10 and thinking it was my fault. Well it wasn't, apparently. The best of the series was the 1080v9 and it seems the shoes went down hill from there. They are comfortable and worth it if you can find them for less than $150 but they are no longer worth the premium price and you can expect to be replacing them within ~ 9 months.

I have many pairs of NB running shoes over the years. Have always bought 2E. Shoe tag on tongue says 2E. I know 2E and this is no 2E.

With having very wide feet, it is very hard for me to find comfortable shoes. These fit the bill. Thanks

Suggest holding off on purchasing until 1080 v12s are available. They may address heal support performance.
This is my fourth pair of 1080s and am disappointed at the cracked vertical heal support in the left shoe that formed during a 25 minute walk while wearing them for the first time. Cracked heal support has been an issue in my earlier pairs, but after much more use. Also, the soles wear out quicker than the rest of the shoe. Everything else about the shoe is great and has kept me coming back. The upper construction (but for the heal aforementioned) is durable and attractive, and the support is incredible.

The fit was perfect. The toe box is wide, which is what I was looking for. Very comfortable shoe.

I am an avid runner (30-40 mi/week). I bought these on the recommendation of my local running store (shout out to Confluence Running in Binghamton NY). Anyway, I've never run in NB before so I wasn't too sure about trying out a new brand. Very glad I went with the recommendation. I retired my first pair of these shoes today after 100 runs and 510 miles. That is about 200 miles further than is typical for me. They probably had a few more miles left in them, but why push it. I have run in various models of Saucony, Brooks, Asics, and Nike, I replaced my retired 1080v11 with another pair just like them.

I am very happy with these shoes, I have been buying Asics for years but lately their 2E shoes have been feeling tight as I think they cut the toe box down a little bit, If you have fat feet like me its hard to have enough room for your foot to be comfortable but the 2E shoes from New Balance feel true to size, they give a nice return feel to them and they are lighter than the Asics as well. So Far So Good

Saw lots of reviews about the heel tab being an issue but I didn't find it to bother me on longer runs. The toe box is wider than the arch area which personally I found quite comfortable. The Fresh Foam soles are really great, I find it to be the most comfortable cushy sole out there having tried many brands. I switched from Mizunos to these and dont regret it for a second. They're also extremely light as well.

I run cross country and track, and this shoe fits most of my needs really well. I'm just over 70 miles in it so far, and it still sort of feels like I'm breaking it in a little. It is probably ideal for slower mileage, and is very comfortable and soft for those runs. I've also taken it on some tempo runs, and it sort of becomes a burden any faster than 6:00 pace, but it still worked okay. The upper works well and is very soft, and the midsole has lots of squish. One thing I thought would be off putting is the heel counter, which upon first wear feels like it will be very uncomfortable, but honestly just sort of disappears on your foot.
I have two main gripes with this shoe. The first is that the way the midfoot lockdown and sole works, it is very uncomfortable sometimes on the lateral side of my foot where that little bone and foot pad thing sticks out. This gets to the point where I have to take the shoes off and retie them, sometimes a few times per run. Hopefully this is just an extended part of the break-in process, and that seems to be happening less now. The second thing is the shoe runs large. I usually have size 10.5-11, and my 10.5 was large on my foot. Again, these two complaints are fairly minor all things considered.
If I didn't mention something about the shoe, that part of it works great. The heel fit, the upper, and the midsole all stood out to me as being very good.

Like the reviews I read before buying these 1080v11, they feel like I'm walking on thick foam or as others said "like marshmallows”. Lateral stability is slightly less than some ultra-flat soles I’ve worn but still very good. Overall, I really like them.

Awesome for wide feet and feet who had suffered accidents and surgeries in the past.
I'm size 8. I have wide feet. Ordered 8 wide, and fit perfectly.

Unfortunately, thess shoes were marked a 13-14 and too short for someone who actually needs the length of a size 14. The shoes were returned for this reason. Other wise the shoes were comfortable and nice except for the too short length.
