I got this shoe for a 21 day backpack trip I was doing in New Mexico and this shoe held up great I had very few blisters the shoe was a dream especially seeing what several other people were wearing and what happened to their feet.

I have worn Salomon's for years, both personally and professionally. Between the several pairs of Quest Forces, the 4d GTX boots and the XA pro sneakers, I'm hard pressed to find a better, longer lasting and better fitting shoe.

I have been trying to order this boot for a year and a half but they are never in stock. Really very sad. I have had these boots (7 pairs) for a long time but they don't go past 2 years as they become regular everyday foot ware and see lots of use. Can you not have an obviously highly requested size kept in stock.

Had these about a month and love them! The day they came in, I went on a couple of short hikes and the boots were comfortable from the get go! Walked thru mud, streams, and wet leaves and the boots shed water/mud so well that they looked like I had just taken them out of the box.

Love these boots. Perfect fit. Very comfortable walking. Repels water when walking in deep water or snow. Great traction even on slick ice.

I initially bought these boots to climb Mount Whitney in January. It was an unplanned purchase because I managed to lose my previous boots two days before the climb and I picked this up at a local outdoors store. This was one of the best purchases I've ever made. We spent 23 hours trekking through 3 feet of snow climbing up Mount Whitney and my feet stayed warm and completely dry the entire time. After that trip, I've used them everywhere. They do just as well in the desert as they do in 3 feet of snow at 14k feet. I have walked through creeks and stayed dry. Extremely comfortable and stable footwear. My only complaint is that after two years of use, the right boot squeaks when I walk. Other than that, absolutely perfect. I plan on purchasing another pair when these finally wear out.

I wanted the Quest 4's for additional ankle protection when back country backpacking. I wanted a pair of hikers that were of a natural earth tones color schema and Gore-Tex construction without being a combat or neon styling. This pair met all of my criteria and needed no break-in period.

The past reviewers of this boot were spot on with their reviews and I couldn't agree more. Hands down best boot I have owned. Absolutely no break in required. Strapped them on and hiked a fairly tough 7 miles. Not a kink, not a blister, not one spot of discomfort. I'm sold.

Once again these boots knock it out of the park with the support and features that come with each pair of Salomon Quest 4 Gore Tex boots.

Best boots I've used in the last decade. That says a lot. Very comfortable right out of the box. Good support. Hiking in very wet conditions and snow, feet stay dry. Would definitely recommend these boots.

Been a while since I needed new winter hiking boots. I was initially put off by the price, but lesser cheaper boots seemed so much less in other respects, especially where it counts most. I have other Solomon foot wear and like the quality, so despite some negative feedback of others around these boots, I decided to make the purchase.
I picked them up and headed to the Rockies for some hiking & snow shoeing. They fit like a glove right out of the box, and looked great. Great traction in lower trail mud and rocks. Great ankle support as well. Kept feet warm and dry as trails got more snowy. I really like them a lot, and expect to enjoy them for many years and miles.
If I do experience some of the problems others have reported, I am confident Solomon will stand behind their product with their warranty.

These are literally the best boots I've ever owned. They way out perform the Crispi' so had in comfort. Wore them on a 10 day elk hunt in some extreme environments and they stood up to every test.

I've had these boots for acouple months now, been abusing them quite a lot. Been up mountains, in rivers, down cliffs, through the snow, in the sand. Everything you could think of and these boots have just survived it all. Barely any signs of wear on these boots, they are SUPER comfy. Not only are they the best fitting and feeling boots I've ever worn. Not only do I recommend these to everyone, but that everyone give them a try.

Have had them for a little over a month wear every day holding up great so far .I will say one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own . Hope they last a long as the speed trail ones I have had for 4 yrs . They finally Have hole in the toes now but I just wear them for kayaking all the time so they still get good use.

I bought these last year. Since I've used them hard going up and down broken lava covered desert hills and mountains and off trail on the east side of the Sierras. I'm about 300 lbs, lesser boots hurt me by not offering enough support nor protection from rocks. These offer great stability and protect my feet.

I'm well into my second pair of these boots. Wore the first pair out with a LOT of miles over rough terrain. I have not been able to find the longer, sturdy paracord laces that came with my first pair about 3 years ago. They should have these replacement laces in their store. Probably a victim of the pandemic / supply chain ;)

I do exploring (100%) off trail, often on loose, uneven, rocky terrain and these are the most comfortable and durable boot I have owned. I hike in them 3 days a week and the tread has held up better than many other brands I have tried. Plus the ankle support is the bomb. I have a history of turning ankles and never happens when I wear these boots. Just ordered my 4th pair. I have noticed the rubber toe cap has started to separate from the boot, but just put some epoxy on it to keep it from getting bigger. The terrain I explore in is nasty basalt and these boots hold up well. To me, the biggest issue is comfort and In my 20+ years of hardcore exploring, I've never had a better boot.

This is my fourth or fifth pair of this series. Paid up many years ago and have never looked back. Usually have to buy new when soles separate - seems inevitable with Vibram laminations. Use these both for hiking and as a yard-work booth since they are really waterproof, but also breathe exceptionally well - I always use wool-socks. Last pair still in great working condition save for one grommet which ripped off while still in perfect condition. Probably from work in backyard or hike in very rocky conditions.

If a Premium hiking/all-around boot is in your list of things to purchase, look no further. These boot are far superior than any I've had thus far, and I'm a boot guy. Out of the 8-10 different brands I currently have, these are hands down my fav!

I bought these boots for an upcoming Everest Base Camp trek and have been breaking them in for the past couple of months. They have exceeded expectations in different terrain, from muddy jungle to climbing up loose rock trails. I was worried about the GTX in the local (HOT!) conditions. This has not been a problem as long as I wear high quality socks. Instead, while my fellow hikers walk around muddle puddles and walk gingerly through streams I plow right through with no issues!
