I bought these boots for 2 reasons. Hiking in Tucson area and hunting both out west and the Midwest. Fit the bill perfectly. I had an issue with the soul while hiking after about 6 months. Within a week Solomon had replaced the boots. The warranty process was about at painless as could be.

This is my second pair of Salomon hiking boots, and the initial quality is just over the top. I was looking for stability & support while still offering a cushioned step, and these do not disappoint. I've worn other brands before, but these far surpass anything I've tried previously. These came highly recommended by the NYT's review publication, and it's easy to see why

On my third pair now - very comfortable. My second pair came apart near the toe after just over a year so I contacted Salomon. They replied promptly and within a few days had sent me a new replacement pair. There's always going to be the odd problem but you can judge a company by how they deal with it. Salomon we're amazing.

First pair of hiking boots and very impressed. As an Afghanistan vet I can say I wish the Army would have let us wear these!

I am picking up a new hobby of hiking/trekking/camping and needed to get a pair of hiking boots. I decided to go with these Salomon Quest 4 GTX and absolutely glad I did. They are amazing quality, are very comfortable, and look great! This is my 2nd pair of Salomon boots, and I will definitely be buying more in the future!

The Quest 4 GTX is one of the best boots I've owned, with some caveats. Firstly, these are meant for colder climates; heat does not dissipate easily from them, so I would not recommend these for warm/humid environments. Secondly, the height, lacing system, extra support, thinner tongue and slightly wider toe box seem to be meant for conditions that would require a lot of protection and/or support around the heel and ankle. For my purposes, carrying ~20kg of photography equipment hiking in rocky, sandy, and muddy terrains provided incredible support and made the whole endeavor easier. Even worn casually on the streets, these were among the most comfortable shoes I currently own. Only time will tell if they withstand harsher conditions as I am traveling to Iceland in these, but I am happy with them for now.

Had these for about a month. Awesome boots, delighted in my purchase.

This is my 3rd pair of boots. I wear them out in about a year. I wear them Mon-Fri every week. They give great ankle support on the uneven surface of the trailer, they have great water resistance. I am a truck driver so they get abused daily. Only thing I don't care for are the locking eyelets on the ankle area, but I just deal with it not a deal breaker for me.

very comfortable boot. i have 75 year old feet and i climb over a lot of #4 railroad size gravel up and down hill. great ankle support. Lacing is great. waterproof. Great traction on dirt and mud. My feet love them! These are great if you want a sturdy comfortable boot.

Fantastic fit straight out of the box. Super comfy, no blisters or hotspots.

Cross country or mountain running, perfect shoe for the task, used all the brands out there, only army surplus kit match durability reliability & comfort (size shape). The tread holds firm

I got these boots about a year ago. I do a lot of guiding throughout the year and these have stood the test of time. I wear them almost every day. Perfect fit, break in quickly. Extremely durable.

I bought these boots because my left ankle is weak and my old AKU boots just were not giving me the support I needed. Ease of putting on 10/10 . I put the boots to the test conditions very wet deep mud , wet grass and across streams (shallow) part of the walk is a lung busting assent which is where I really wanted to test the boots. Up and down very slippery absolutely no complaints from my ankle so 10/10.very comfortable boot straight from the box, I've read other reviews about boots leaking but I did at least 2 miles through soaking wet grass etc bone dry feet . Very happy to date.

A lot of people are complaining about the durability of the new Quest 4 and I won't deny those claims, yet as someone who uses these everyday, putting them through the ringer as a delivery driver, I believe these are some of the most comfortable, lightweight, stylish boots that I have ever used. These are my fourth Salomon boot and I'll buy a pair every year to ensure my feet are comfortable as opposed to wearing an uncomfortable, constricting boot that last for five years.

As this not my first Salomon boot, so from real experience I can not recommend this brand enough. From quality to customer services simply perfect. Thanks Salomon
