This is a nice, light hiking boot. I wanted a pair of light boots for the summer and decided to try out Quest 4. So far I pleased with the product after putting roughly 80 km (50 mi) on them. Pros: light and flexible, I can break into a nice run and not feel stifled. I like the design, the one thing I did is swap the shoelaces for solid olive green (used a 750lb paracord to make 'em; laces here are 7ft for size 12). Cons: one time use product, can't re-sole, also the insoles are not replaceable/removable (Salomon, take note!).

Good boots, put miles on these every day. Great support, great grip, almost no break in time. Would be great if they lasted a little longer, but overall happy considering all the other benefits. Will continue to wear these daily.

Very durable, very grippy on bottom of soles. Feels pretty light. The ankle support is excellent. However fits a bit loose. I bought size size US 11. It fits more like a size US 11.5. I added a shoe insole to counteract that, so that it would fit me.

Nice stabilisation, holds a foot pretty good, great grip. Heave, but I like heavy boots. Durability could be better

Bought for my husband for hunting. He liked them except after he wore them for a day, they were to tight accords the right big toe. We returned them. lLBean is great with their return policy!!!!

I received the boot four days before leaving for Alaska. The boot was my primary piece of foot ware. It supported my ankle and was fairly comfortable. I would like to do another review in a year, and so on.

Third pair of these boots. The last must have changed as I had to downsize a 1/2 size from the last two pairs. The fit is different, larger, wider, longer and advise to order multiple sizes or fit at a store. I only have 10 miles in these boots do far. Traction is good and they seem comfortable enough but i have not carried a load with them yet. The photo is of two size 10's, you can see the geometry of the boot has changed. Where I had great heel lock and perfect toe box before, the entire boot is larger and longer and the fit is very different.

This is my 4th pair of the quest 4. Each pair seems to last me a little over a year. The last pair went flat and had no cushion left after a year, made my knees hurt after only a couple miles. For the costs would think they would last longer.

I have had these boots for several hikes now. It only took one hike to break them in and they now fit like a glove. They keep my feet dry during shallow water crossings and have never let me down

I bought these boots because I needed something sturdy and stable for mixed terrain. I've only hiked in them once, so far, but these boots are very comfortable, stabe yet flexible, and sturdy. As with some of the other reviews, I noticed that they are not waterproof, but I don't really care if my feet get a little wet in the summer. Lastly, like I said they are comfortable, but they would be even more so with a little more cushioning.

My newest purchase of this book is actually my fourth pair. I keep buying them because I can not find a more comfortable pair of high quality hiking boots. For the record I don't hike like I once did as I'm 72 years old. I actually use them on a daily basis however working in my preservation heirloom apple orchard. I also have had serious ankle problems for years and these are the safest books I can find for my ankles. I found the last pair to have been more durable than the earliest ones.

Bought these boots for a hiking trip to West Virginia in the fall (2022). They performed well during 40 through 50 degree Fahrenheit weather with several days of rain.

I've worn this model for the last 5 hunting seasons in Idaho. Great boot. They don't last more than a season, usually blow out in the toe at the semi-rand. Maybe a full wrap would be a better option? Comfortable from day 1 and stable on every terrain found in the mountains. They seem to shrink over the course of the hunting season too but I'm guessing that's due to continues exposure to water and snow? I tried a 1/2 size up and the flex in the toe box was off so I went back to 11s. Great boot, just wish they were more durable for the price.

What a super boot.. torsionally stiff, minimal forefoot flex , lightweight and good enough cushion through the midsole and a sweet lace lock at mid-foot fit. In all, this excellent backpacking boot makes for a great day hikes as well.. fit is very subjective but for me, it's a great boot with some much excellent features.

I had the Quest 4 boots 6 weeks. We hike in pretty rough country, they're very comfortable and supportive . But the rubber toe cover already has a tear in it. I have a little concern on how durable they are? I still love them.

These boots fit my wider feet well. The lacing system is a little cumbersome but holds firm once completed. The soles grip well in a forest environment, grippjng rock and wood.

I got these because Vasque wasn't available anymore. These require 5 to 8 miles of break in and are a heavier boot, not complaining just stating a fact, I'm 78 and the laces are a little difficult to deal with however once on they are comfortable and have good grip on multiple surfaces. I haven't gone on any long hikes yet with them mostly 3 to 4 miles, time will tell.

This is my 2nd pair of these boots & would buy a third. I'm an occasional hiker typically completing a handful hike a year. This boot doesn't take much time to break in & is sturdy enough for my backpacking treks. I have to replace the inserts as I find the included ones do not provide enough comfort or support.

I bought these boots for hiking 14ers, very light and look well made. The test is yet to come in heavy scree and talus. So far they seem comfortable for a boot.

I bought these boots for my husband's birthday. He had the same ones before but in a different colour and they got stolen and he just loves them! He only wears Solomon hiking boots as he loves the grip he has when he uses them as well as the comfort and water protection. Great boots, might buy a pair for myself too!

These are a good boot. Definitely worth an investment. The tongue could go with more padding. And the new leather eyelet halfway needs a rethink. Solid and strong. I've recommended them already.

Just a few weeks before I went on a himalaya trek in Nepal I bought a pair of Quest 4 GTX walking boots. The Q4's have good specs in terms of sturdiness, low weight and solid water resistance and they look the part too. Since I also needed that additional support around my ankles the Q4 was an easy choice. Initially it was a painful fit around my right ankle which is slightly more protruding than my left one. The stiffness of the material put too much pressure. Only after persevering and repeatedly flexing the material manually did the situation gradually improve. I'm happy to report they now fit perfectly and this was just a temporary startup problem. In the field I have to say I have been more than happy with the performance. The soles provide solid grip throughout, also on some quite tricky surfaces. The GTX breathes very nicely in what is moderate to cold temperatures (I have not tested them yet in hotter circumstances). They are really lightweight compared to traditional trekking shoes I used before, a major plus eapecially on long day walks going up. Mud goes off quickly. Wading through water is carefree, never once did I get wet socks. Overall I had a great trekking experience with these boots. The only thing I would recommend (but this goes generally for any shoe) is to replace the stock inlay soles with something slightly more advanced. Other than that the Q4GTX is clearly a great buy for these kinds of trekking applications, highly recommended.
