This boot was great right out of the box. I had an earlier model that I really liked, but this one is even better. Very lightweight and supportive. When I'm backpacking I like more support than trail runners provide. This boot provides that support and has very good traction. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought these upon a doctors recommendation, a Doctor that hikes. My big toes are suffering from arthritis and this boot has given me a new life. Stiff, ideal for tough trails and all day comfortable.

I received my boots around 2 weeks ago and they are the best boots I've ever worn. The Quest's are comfortable to wear straight out the box and I'd say it took me about 10 miles to properly break them in. They fit perfectly. The grip is fantastic and I instantly noticed the difference and the sole is sturdy yet responsive. They have actually made me walk more than usual because they are that great! I can't stress enough how much I love these boots

This is my first Quest boot and after all of the reviews and praise with previous models these live up to the hype! I am a hardcore and hard wearing Speedcross fan. With that being said, these boots bridge the gap when I am carrying a pack. I am waiting on a restock of the green color scheme :)

Don't let the tittle fool you for being lightweight boot (compared to a traditional boot) this boot is amazing. I'm hard on my gear and these are awesome. Second pair and btw I still have my first pair.

I bought a pair of Lowa Renegade boots along with a pair of Salomon boots in the same price range. A week later I gave the Lowa boots away. Realised that Salomon boots are probably the best boots for the money, period, end of story.

Since I had two Quest 3 Gore-Tex. Now I am very glad to get that awesome color I wanted as to be match with my khaki casual pant use to work daily also sometime go to construction site for field tour. Also wear for hiking too, very comfortable and better improved as lightweight and look good durable materials. The upper ankle is much improved bit more shug around ankle and above it for support after tie it up. Go Rock! Thanks!

Just recently bought these Salomon Quest 4 Goretex. Took them out of the box and hiked for 3 hours and then wore them the rest of the day. I hike in other Salomon products and while I like them a lot the Quest 4 are my new favorite. The fit is really good, enough space in the toe box, and I had no hot spots after hiking 3 hours and wearing them all day. I was walking on light snow covered trails and found the traction to be very good. This is a very comfortable lightweight boot and I found no negatives on my initial hike. I will report back after more miles, but I expect no issues if this boot is like my previous Salomon boots.

I bought this to replace a pair of Merril MOABs that just weren't cutting it anymore. Ive put about 50 trail miles on these so far as well as taken these to the construction site. In both cases I've found 0 instances of rubbing or discomfort. The high ankle gives me the support I was looking for. These were comfortable right out of the box. What I wasn't expecting was how much these resemble the shoes worn by Marty McFly.

Go through about 3-4 pair a year. Great boots. Good support. Very comfortable!

Replacing a well worn pair of Quest shoes, so far the Q4 is great! A tad stiff out of the box but after 3-4 hikes they're comfortable and very secure. Durability is important, hope these last as long as the pair they replaced...

Good fit, stability and weight for every day use. As an amputee LBK I need a stiff and lightweight shoe that will keep me going all day long. Salomon Quest 4 is the ticket for me. I have other shoes that work well also but you can't beat the weight of the Quest 4.

I bought these boots a month ago to replace a pair of hiking boots which lasted me about ten years. The Quest 4 look good and feel robust. They feel sturdy and offer great ankle support for tougher terrain. They do feel a bit stiff at first but it gets better every time I wear them.

I've had three pairs of these boots. Outside of being a little weighty, they are great hiking boots or every day footware for the outdoorsy individual. I've exposed these boots to all types of weather, hiking and daily use and abuse. These take a little to break in but usually feel great after a week. Like all boots, they have their typical wear areas, usually where they bend the most, but have yet to have a pair leak water. I had one manufacturers issue with my second pair and Salomon was quick to respond to the issue. Do I love these boots?yes! I will continue to purchase these as long as the quality and support remain consistently high.

First pair I bought were awesome 2nd pair a few minor issues that were corrected. Would highly recommend these boots

I got this replacement boot about a month ago, so far so great, where the strap is still needs some time to break in before they really get comfortable.

I purchased a pair of these boots around 3 pr 4 weeks ago, initially, like most Salomon boots they fitted lovely and are comfortable at the start of hiking. After a while though, where the sole is mounted with a strap like moulding it seems to start to rub on the outer side of the mid sole/arch. I'm hoping with wear it will soften a little. Overall though, they seem waterproof, good grip and to start comfy. I am however hoping they last longer than other Salomon boots I have purchased.

Been having trouble with fit. Some too short, some too narrow. This boot is the best yet in terms of fit, although not perfect, much better. I like that it's nice and firm, stiff, even, but giving at the same time. Good traction from the soles. All around nice boot.

These are in the rotation of work shoes. The fit is true and walking and standing for 12hours is not a problem. Provide support and comfort for tasks of the day.

Fantastic boot , lightweight takes no breaking in , the only problem I have encountered is the durability , I found that the newer boots are not very robust and start to disintegrate as quickly as 6 months and if it wasn't for the 2 year guarantee I think I'd be looking at other boots
