I've loved the trail glove series because its shape and fit is conducive for running for me. But this version is very hard to get on and by the time i loosen up the laces enough to get my foot in, there's not enough shoestring to tie the shoe.
I'm not sure if the elastic band from the tongue to the sole has always been in the trail glove series, but if not, maybe that's what i don't like

Last time I had these was the trail glove 3 and loved them. I personally really like the high arch in these as I have high arches. A major problem is they are both too long and too narrow. I have always been an 11.5 and have worn other merrells that fit great at 11.5 but this shoe in particular is oddly proportioned. I expect rather than stretching I am likely to blow out the sides prematurely. Bought on a pretty hefty sale, wouldn't pay full price for these.

Disappointed. This pair of shoes is light weight and comfortable until you walk in them. These are low quality to Merrell standards. Not supportive.

Narrow, I wish they offered a medium width or extra wide. Made for people with more arch.

I recently started wearing the Merrell Vapor Glove 5 and love it. It's one weakness is minimal traction on fine loos surfaces. So I was excited and wanted to try the trail glove. Unfortunately the trail glove is too narrow for me. I also did not like the more rigid structure. My goals were to fine a minimal trail runner. I think the trail glove partially meets that goal. Low stack height is good. The arch support is tolerable. The sole is perhaps too stiff. My deal breaker was to constricted toe box. The structure made the fit across the widest part of my foot uncomfortable. I would recommend Merrell to increase to toe box, but offering a wide might also work.

Much narrower than TG5 - see photos side-by-side with my TG5. They look nice, but are definitely squeezing the toes a bit, which the TG5 did not do.

I have been wearing these for less than a month, and where the toe meets the sole has already started to separate. Very comfortable, but a bit disappointed in the lack of time it started to tear.

Good shoe overall, sole has little traction on wet surface; not good for hiking shoes!

If you are a fan of a zero drop, barefoot style shoe, this is a great option. I like the arch support, as well as flexibility and thickness of the sole. Unfortunately, the shoe glue in many places is not holding, so my shoe is coming apart. Still holding enough to wear them just about every day, but I would have preferred to wear them into the ground rather than just wait for them to fall apart.

The quality of this shoe doesn't really meet Merrill's other shoes I have purchased

These are less comfortable (narrower) than prior versions of the trail glove. I used a prior version of the trail glove for everyday walking around and they are extremely comfortable with enough room for my 2E width feet.

I really wish Merrell offered wide. This one was a half size large for me; I was trying to find a little bit of breathing space in my forefoot. It didn't work, so I returned it. I also bought the same style in the men's sizes, and because the shape was wrong, that didn't work either.

I am a woman who bought this because Merrell does not offer a wide in women's sizes for this style. Although the width of this man's shoe worked, the shape was wrong and was not as comfortable as the women's shoe. So I returned it.

Great arch support and feels durable. Heel is quite rigid and rubs after a while. Also, it's nearly impossible to slip on because the heel is so rigid

Two problems with these shoes.
1. I was looking for the model shoes that do not have the tie laces. The photos indicate that when in fact the laces are extremely long.
2. I normally order a size 10 however the size of the shoes are larger. Unfortunately I got a message that I can exchange these so I'm stuck with them.

I purchased these shoes to replace a pair of Trail Glove 3s I've had for almost six years. The current Trail glove 6 is a comfortable shoe but I have a few caveats.
1) The inner sock/tongue panels are too restrictive and uncomfortable with socks and I almost always have to go barefoot in them.
2) The toe box and body is a little more narrow than it should be. As I move I want my foot to spread out and breath and it cannot do that in the current design of the shoe. My foot is not considered wide but hits that border between medium and wide. A little extra width would be appreciated.
3) The added arch was an unwelcome surprise at first but it grew on me quickly and added to my comfort shortly after I started wearing them.
Now the good.
1) The shoe fits well and is almost like a sock in a way. It's comfortable for long wear and looks great on with no unwelcome rubbing or friction.
2) The shoe is stable. The way it conforms with my foot makes me feel supported and balanced in a very good way.
3) the arch support and rethought sole adds to a comfort I did not expect based on experiences with previous models.
Overall a lot to love here. My thoughts for the next generation though would just be a bigger toe box, a little added width, and removal of that inner tongue sock like thing that can be aggravating and tight especially should I choose to wear socks with them.

More cushion than previous models. Provides good flex and support around foot. Not very durable, starting to fall apart after a month of wear.

It's too narrow in the arch now. The older models, 1 and 2, were perfect. 4 was way too narrow, 6 seems a bit better. Not sure what happened but I love the design other that that. If it's not changed, this will be my last pair.

Fit and comfort is great. I took this on a backpacking trail over the weekend for 5 miles. Traction is very good on boulders and dirt. My only problem is the seam on the side already started to come apart after 1 trip. These shoes may not last more than 3 total trips like that. So I would say quality is a 2 out of 5.

Nice quality materials, with a sturdy sole in a low rise shoe. The toe box is mor pointed than a natural shape of a foot as the descriptions says and the sole is almost too stiff when they first arrive.

These are very different from the previous ones I had. These now have an inner sock that I was unaware of when I purchased them and since returned them. I really liked the previous style, and had I known I probably would've liked these. I missed the mention in the description. As a result, they are noticeably narrower than previous iterations.

I bought a pair of trail gloves 10 years ago and love them. I figured I would buy the same and be happy. I am not. The toe box is narrower (despite buying a men's shoe), the sole is really built up and I can't feel the ground at all. This is very disappointing as it's supposed to be a barefoot shoe. I also don't like how the tongue is attached to the interior of the shoe. I can only hope the toe box stretches and spreads or I'll have wasted 90 dollars
