I was hesitant on purchasing these seeing several reviews talking about the narrow fit this model had versus its predecessors, like Trail Glove 4 Runner. In the end it has taken a bit of time for me to really wear these because of the narrow toe box. I have had 4 pairs of Trail Glove 4 (2 pairs of 2 colors) and currently running them into the ground before I settle with finally wearing these on a daily basis.

Good shoes, preferred them for paced surfaces. Fit narrow. Really liked the aesthetic of the shoes.

I have had a pair of trail gloves since the first purchasing the 3rd iteration. Then two pairs of 5th gen. The 6th generation is a miss for me though; they are stiffer and narrower than previous models and never felt right on my foot. I only really find them usable without socks on and have delegated them to just quick on/off shoes by replacing the laces with elastic lace locks since they don't even really need to be tied for a snug fit.

I've had the TG4, 5, and 6. TG 5 - the shoebox was too loose. On this, the TG6, it is too tight. i often get pain in the outer part of my right foot, where the bunion is.

Ordered 11.5 and they fit great with thin running socks. I am 11.5 C measured on a Brannock device. Unfortunately, they don't work for me. The arch support is too much for my feet and preference.

I have had a pair of these and the latest leather trail gloves. In a nutshell, they both make me miss my earlier trail gloves. Both pairs of these feel clunky and flat. The earlier ones did not. They are the right size, it in some ways they feel too small, in other ways too big. I am not a fan of the new bottom for sure. I hate when a shoe company has a great shoe, then changes and discontinues it because it's a new year. I don't give a crap about what year it is, continue to carry what you used to make that was good.

I've been buying the Barefoot Glove series for a while, from the initial iteration of the Vapor/Trail Gloves all the way to the generation previous to this one. This is the first Trail Glove I've had to completely pass on. The previous versions started off with minimal arch support, which progressively got more aggressive. This latest generation dials the arch up to 11 - great for those people with well-defined arches; painful for the rest of us. I felt that the shoe was overly constraining as a result.

a very supportive "barefoot" shoe with a built in arch support that has no give or options to adjust. the good news is that the shoe is solid and should last many miles also the forefoot is roomy with nice toe spread and still looks like a regular shoe.

Compared to the previous version, this shoe is heavier, harder to put on and take off and has an annoying increased arch support which will hopefully compress with continued use. As a barefoot style runner, I like having a more substantial shoe, in addition to the Vapor Glove 5, for those days when my feet feel like they could use increased protection or when mixed usage and duration calls for it, but unfortunately, although still usable, none of the updates made this a more comfortable shoe.

The toe box in this shoe seems tighter that former versions. One of the reasons I buy and recommend these is for the larger than average toe box.

I'd loved the TG4s for the longest time especially after the TG5s were awful. The TG6s are pretty great with fit but are rather tight in the mid of the foot with thw new retention system and its more difficult to get the shoe on than with the TG4s. Hard to keep them tied too unless you double knot thwm as they juat slowly come loose. Merrell got it right with the TG4s!

Pros- much grippier sole over previous models, especially on wet rocks and muddy trails. Nice color range Cons- way too narrow, hard to put on, crazy arch support not needed. Trail glove 4 has been the best fit in the past.

Normally I am in a always happy mode regarding Merrells. Part of the sole of my last order needed to be glued back down. Kind of odd and normally this doesn't happen to new shoes.

Great looking shoe I personally found the run a whole size smaller than my trail glove 5 and my vapor glove 3 Luna ...im wearing a 15 in the trail 6 ..14 in the trail glove 5 ...and the 6 runs more narrow and the arch is higher ..I feel it's a better looking shoe but not as comfortable as tge 5's or the 3 vapor glove ..hopes this helps others on decision making ..

I Purchased a shoes because I thought the version six restyle looked really great. I was not disappointed in that aspect when I received my shoes. Unfortunately the shoes were way too snug in the mid foot and a little bit snug in the toe. I own version 5 of the same shoe and was disappointed that the "barefoot" inclination added arch support in contrast to version 4, which I also own, but it was not too severe. And the healthy amount of room in the toebox, which was an improvement from version 4 help offset my disappointment. That is not the case for version 6. I put them on and was surprised how snug it was in the center of the foot area near the arch. I loosened the laces to make sure that wasn't the issue and I kept them on for about an hour and couldn't really stand it any longer. The length measured approximately the same as version 5 but the toebox seemed a little more cramped but not by much. Overall the shoe does not work well for someone looking for that "barefoot" type of footwear. The improvements to the upper material and the lace tightening and attachment system are wonderful and the style of the shoe is great. Those are the only things that caused me to give three stars and not less.

While the looks and construction quality both seem to be pretty good, I would definitely say The arch support is much more aggressive and the fit is narrower than the TG 4 (they do seem to be more breathable though which is a huge plus). Not a bad shoe, they just don't provide you with the same great natural, comfortable feel that I experienced with the 4's that made them my go-to shoe for both casual and trail use

I bought a pair of shoes I think it was 3 years ago they weren't called Trail Glove and came in only 2 colors red and blue I really was hoping that this shoe was going to have the same comfort it doesn't . there is no give in the tongue, they are a tighter fit. maybe your engineers will realize this flaw and provide more room with the next model

I'm coming from a Trail Glove 4 size 11US and just got Trail Glove 6 size 10.5US. The size seems correct. However, the 6 is a regular shoe. More cushion, some heel toe drop, slightly narrower, less flexible, and less grippy. I think I have wide flat feet and I don't think it's as terrible as some of the other Trail Glove fanatics make it seem. I am sad about the change though. Not really what I was looking for but seems like an okay shoe if you can get it on a discount.

Still a great shoe but has lost some of the minimalism as compared to the trail gloves of old. Higher arches, a stiffer sole, and a more narrow toe box make this more of a form fitting trail shoe than a "barefoot" shoe (Merrell used to lead the barefoot market, what happened?)

These look great, but are NOT barefoot shoes. I was really disappointed to find some arch support and what feels like a heel to toe drop. Please go back to the 4th (or 2nd) generation.

Insole is very thin and not comfortable. Hiking shoes should be comfortable on hikes, this shoe is not. Had to purchase a thicker insole for walking and hiking.

I've been a long time merrell buyer. My go to is the jungle moc. I must say the Oakcreek is a good looking shoe but the comfort just isn't there. My feet hurt after wearing these for any amount of time.
