Great looking shoe, however the super thin rubber on the end of the tongue felt like it was going to cut through my leg. I suppose you could wear higher socks and this may not be an issue, but for those of us who where low cut, ankle socks, I really don't see how this shoe would work. I had them on for about 5 minutes just around my house and was very disappointed with constant rubbing and pain that ensued after such a short period of time. It's too bad, because I really like the look of the Speedgoat 4, but had to return them... It's just a bad design, I'll wait for the Speedgoat 5s to see if they fix the issue.

Overall I finally shoes a little bit heavier than my other trail shoes (for example my Altra’s are 3 ounces lighter – each shoe – and I actually weighed them) Also seems to hurt my great toe on long runs – over 8 to 10 miles. I think they are super comfortable for walking but they are a little bit to “bulky” for trail running in my opinion.

Overall comparatively still good shoes. However, not as comfortable as Speedgoat 3's, wear fast (particularly trail lugs), but of course all Hoka One One's I've tried wear fast, particularly considering the price. Almost seems to have trimmed back on materials with this model (ie. tongue, laces, toe box, etc.) a bit - perhaps 'planned obsolescence'? The Speedgoat 3 was a much better shoe, despite wear and price.

The shoe was too narrow for me and too short for toe room.

I was excited to get the shoes upon arriving I opened them up right away tried them on they look like they had some dust on them I thought it was just boxing material but examine them further looked like somebody had worn them and send them back because it looked like they had dirt from running track the right Shoe seem to be tight around the laces and hurt my foot I was very disappointed moreover that the shoe has been worn and the dirt on it was not cleaned off or or checked before it went out for shipment

I ordered these for my husband. The width and size are great. He feels they make him unstable and that he could twist his ankle easily in these.

Quite tight in the heel and side of toes. Uncomfortable after a few hours. Bondi 10 W has plenty of room.

The D width Stinson ATR 6 has more room in the toe box than the 2E width Sleedgoat.

The toe box was too small, could not insert my foot fully in.

Lots of tread, super lightweight, poor build quality (already shredding on the sole-toe interface after 3 wears). Good shoe but not worth the money

This is the second pair of these I have ordered and sent back. The 12's (my size) had way too much volume in the toe box. The 11.5's I ordered felt as if the right shoe was missing some cushion in the toe area. Ultimately, I sent both pairs back and moved to another style. It appears some of the shine has worn off the Hoka brand. Hoped it would never happen but in this reviewer's opinion it has. Zappos lived up to the stellar reputation.
